CANNON BALL, North Dakota -- The Northwest Delegation to Standing Rock Camp spoke tonight on the unity and sacred ceremonies that has meant survival for the people. The evening talks and songs were broadcast live on Standing Rock Spirit Resistance Radio.
A member of the Lummi supporters who came and brought the Totem Pole explained that the Pole itself is just a material object. When people come together, and put their hands on the Totem Pole, there is its real meaning.
He spoke on how Native people in the Northwest survived boarding schools and survived the persecutions of carrying out their sacred ceremonies, as late as the 1980s. Many went to jail for carrying out the ceremonies.
Why did all these Indian Nations send representatives here? he asked of those camped to resist the construction here of the Dakota Access Pipeline.
"You stood up and clearly said, 'NO!'"
"The United States can not keep giving out permission to do this type of damage," he said.
The Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples requires "free, prior and informed consent," he said.
He spoke of traveling to visit many Indigenous Nations.
"We know what it means to suffer grief."
"The drum wakes us up."
It was Columbus who started the lie of the name 'Indios,' or Indians. This is why it is important to know one's traditional name, he said.
"We are so proud that our tribe came down to put our flag with yours."
He said it is a dangerous game being on tribal councils, and dangerous dealing with corporations.
Cherry Point coal port was halted because so many people came together to support the Lummi and their battle to halt it.
Faith Spotted Eagle spoke of the support they have received, including that of fighting the Keystone XL pipeline.
"The Spirit is still moving."
"In colonization, the greatest tool is isolation."
She spoke of her grandmother, an original signer of the 1858 Treaty, and how her grandmother came to her. "Think about the Treaty," was the message.
Faith Spotted Eagle said the people have come together to give back.
"When you ask for prayers, you give back."
The Totem Pole was filled with prayers.
She said they were coming together to give a monetary donation,
along with the prayers.
She pointed out that this pipeline, Dakota Access Pipeline, was part of a pipeline that was permitted in sections.
"This pipeline is actually connected to TransCanada."
She said the attorneys need to investigate how this pipeline here, is connected to TransCanada, and how the permits were obtained.
The evening continued with songs.

Standing Rock Spirit Resistance Radio is now live online. With the purchase of a new satellite, and more bandwidth, the radio station is broadcasting from camp. It was already live in camp at 87.9 FM.

At their so-called ‘consultation’ meetings being fraudulently staged across the country, they will be very lonely when only they are at the corporate table. As Hank Williams sings: “Did you ever see a robin weep when leaves begin to die. That means he’s lost his will to live. And I’m so lonesome I could cry”.

President Begaye said the fight is not just Native, but it is for all people.

CANNON BALL, North Dakota -- The grassroots live radio station, Standing Rock's Spirit Resistance Radio began broadcasting live on Monday morning after a satellite was installed on Sunday. Thousands of Native Americans have gathered to protect the Missouri River from an underwater crude oil pipeline, the Dakota Access Pipeline, which threatens their water supply.
The station was already live in camp at 87.9 FM.

Before the satellite was installed, Govinda Dalton of Earthcycles, producer, was driving the audios out of camp. The audios were then posted on Censored News, due to the lack of Internet service in camp.
A delegation of Apache and Dine’ (Navajo) youths were among those interviewed on Spirit Resistance Radio. Naelyn Pike, Apache, described how Arizona Sen. John McCain sold out the Apaches by giving Resolution Copper their sacred place of Oak Flat in Arizona. McCain put the land exchange in the defense spending bill to avoid public detection and outcry at the time.
Spirit Resistance Radio interviewed Lakota elders and youths, along with young entrepreneurs from Rosebud who are beekeepers selling their honey, and those whose lives are being transformed by being at the camp.
“It is no longer a camp, it is a village,” said Govinda Dalton, producer, who has been broadcasting Indigenous news and struggles as a volunteer for more than a decade on Earthcycles.
Dennis Banks, co-founder of the American Indian Movement, and attorneys have been interviewed on Spirit Resistance Radio.
The issues range from the Rights of Nature, with roots in Bolivia and Ecuador, to a series recorded around the campfire at night. This includes Lakota elders speaking on healing the trauma of boarding schools with ceremonies.

Tlingit water and medicine songs are included in the radio programs, which began with an interview with Waniya Locke, Lakota mother and teacher. Michelle Cook, Dine’, on the legal team, describes her personal journey here.
Native American water defenders speak passionately on protecting the Missouri River for future generations.
Radio stations across the country are now requesting to rebroadcast the shows. The first was in Tampa, Florida.
Two Worlds Indigenous Radio, on WMNF community radio station in Tampa is broadcasting Standing Rock Spirit Resistance Radio. Mekasi Camp Horinek's interview, describing the first days of the blockade by Camp of the Sacred Stones, was the first.
Truckloads of hundreds of pounds of buffalo meat and pallets of drinking water are now arriving at the camp, with trucks arriving from the Crow Nation, Cheyenne Arapaho Nation, and Cherokee Nation.

MOHAWK NATION NEWS: CRIMINAL CORPORATE OCCUPATION

CRIMINAL CORPORATE OCCUPATION

MNN. AUG. 30, 2016. We onkwe’hon:weh, the natural people of great turtle island, are not part of the occupying CORPORATION. All Admiralty courts are artificial private Vatican courts for banks, corporations and are always about money. The corporation is a violent squatter that put their guns to us, killed us and stole everything. They started the same in Palestine in 1947. They try to put all of our issues into their own corporate matrix.white house indian
There is only one court that has jurisdiction over such an international matter, the Permanent Court of Arbitration, set up in 1899 in The Hague. It is a dispute resolution court. Every corporation has private shareholders, they can be held accountable for the crimes of their corporation in the Permanent Court of Arbitration. No trial about us or our land belongs in their corporate matrix. FB_IMG_1471552264063
This occupying corporation and their armies have to be put on trial in the Permanent Court of Arbitration.
The pipeline is on our land. They need our permission. Consultation with their corporate band and tribal entities are fraud. Canada and US have no right to arbitrate anything with regard to us and our land. We are not part of their corporation. B0_2210783226431832471_n
We have international partners, such as Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia, Russia, China, India, iran and other ancient allies who sponsored us when we went to the League of Nations in 1923. They remember us.
As Bob Seeger sings about the people at Standing Rock: Like a rock, standin’ arrow straight. Like a rock, chargin, from the gate. Like a rock, carryin’ the weight. Like a rock.

BISMARK, North Dakota -- Native American water defenders reminded the law firm Fredrikson -- representing Dakota Access Pipeline in Bismarck, N.D., -- of the sacredness of water today.
Earlier today, Native Americans at the camp at Cannon Ball held a water ceremony, and then took sacred water to the law firm.
Outside the law firm, Michelle Cook said, "They locked the doors on us and refused to speak to us as to why they are representing a corporation that is violating human rights."
The law firm of Fredrikson and Byron states that it  is a 275-attorney law firm based in Minneapolis, with offices in Bismarck, Des Moines, Fargo, St. Paul, Monterrey, Mexico, and Shanghai, China.

Cannon Ball River, 1851 Ft Laramie Treaty Territory…The weekend after the federal judge declared that he will wait up to two weeks to issue his ruling to temporarily halt construction of the Dakota Access  Pipeline, the Red Warrior Camp continues to grow and thrive.
The camp has established a recycling program; a food distribution program to support camp kitchens; nonviolent direct action training and culture based activities.
North Dakota Homeland Security Division's decision to abruptly remove their trailers and drinking water tanks have not affected the people in camp.
Much like our ancestors before us, we are resilient and will persevere.  These delays will not deter, but in fact will motivate, the people to focus on what they came here for…to protect the water.
More than 50 native nations and allies from around the world have converged here on the banks of the Cannon Ball River to be a voice for the sacred water and Mother Earth.  The population is expected to increase in the coming week with the influx of additional tribal nations arriving.
