Las Vegas Paiute Welcome Gwich'in to Homelands

Gwich'in defending the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge received a warm welcome in Las Vegas, as the delegation continued on its Southwest Tour.
"The Las Vegas Paiute Tribe gave the Gwich'in delegates a warm welcome," said Bernadette Demientieff, executive director of the Gwich'in Steering Committee.
Gwich'in are speaking out on the urgent necessity of protecting the people and wildlife of the Arctic and screening the new film, "The Refuge" by Patagonia.
The Gwich'in delegation continues to Reno, and then Salt Lake in Utah, and Grand Junction, Alamosa, and Boulder in Colorado.
O'odham greeted the Gwich'in delegation and welcomed them to O'odham homelands, with a traditional song to strengthen them for their journey, as they began the Southwest Tour in Tucson.
