Freedom Flotilla -- Cree Dene Woman is Imprisoned in Israel's Torture Prison

Mskwaasin Agnew, Cree Dene from Salt River First Nation, is now imprisoned in Israel's Ketziot prison in the Negev desert. She was aboard the Conscience boat seized by Israel, one of six Canadians now imprisoned. She sailed beneath the Mohawk Warrior flag, and Anishinaabe flag, with journalists and health professionals to take humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Lawyers Confirm Israel Sends Abducted Flotilla Volunteers to Ketziot Prison

By Freedom Flotilla Coalition, Censored News

October 9, 2025 – Adalah lawyers in occupied Palestine confirmed that volunteers illegally abducted by the Israeli military from the Conscience and eight Thousand Madleens sailboats were transferred to Ketziot Prison in the Naqab.

Lawyers representing the volunteers were not permitted to bring their mobile phones into Ashdod port, and were prevented from speaking to all 145 people. Some of the people they did speak to reported experiencing violent assaults by Israeli soldiers during the illegal seizures of the fleet.

It is likely that all parliamentarians will be deported tonight or tomorrow morning, and tribunal hearings for others will take place over the next two days. Legal teams continue to demand immediate access and remain on standby for tribunal hearings. The Adalah lawyers have already demanded to be present at all hearings and will provide further updates soon.

BACKGROUND :

At 04:34 Gaza Time, the Israeli military attacked the FFC and TMTG flotilla 120 nautical miles (220 km) from Gaza, boarding the Conscience by helicopter and vessels, seizing over $110,000 USD in medical and nutritional aid. All 145 volunteers from 30 countries were abducted, some experiencing violence by the Israeli soldiers, and taken against their will to Ashdod. Boats seized include: Abd Elkarim Eid, Alaa Al-Najar, Anas Al-Sharif, Gaza Sunbird, Leïla Khaled, Milad, Soul of My Soul, Um Saad, and the Conscience.

“Israel as an illegal settler state has no legal authority to detain international volunteers aboard these ships. This seizure violates international law and defies the ICJ’s binding orders for unimpeded humanitarian access.” said the FFC.

As the U.S. and Israel tout a peace treaty, the occupation issued an alert that Palestinians in Gaza will still not be able to return to Gaza City and the North. A ceasefire is only the minimum. We must continue to fight to end the illegal siege on Gaza and the occupation of Palestine.

We demand:End Israel’s blockade of Gaza
A permanent end to Israel’s genocide of Gaza and brutality across wider Palestine
Immediate release of all abducted volunteers
Immediate delivery of aid directly to Palestinians, independent of Israeli control or hinderance
Accountability for the attacks on our flotilla

Free Palestine.
