Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse at a Veterans Affairs hospital, was tackled and beaten by a mob of federal agents Saturday morning in Minneapolis. Alex was assassinated by the U.S. Border Patrol.

Alex went to the aid of a woman and was brutally attacked by federal agents. Drop Site News describes what videos reveal.

"To be clear about what this depicts: An immigration officer threw a woman onto the ground. Alex Pretti, a registered nurse on the scene as a legal observer, is filming and goes to help the woman up. He is then pepper sprayed and thrown to the ground for no discernible reason. Many officers surround and assault him; one removes his firearm, which police say appears to have been legally registered. They then execute him with a hail of bullets," Drop Site News reports.

Alex's parents issued a statement of the facts -- while the U.S. government attempted to distort the truth and criminalize Alex after he was murdered today.

“I do not throw around the ‘hero’ term lightly. However his last thought and act was to protect a woman. The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting."

Alex Pretti's parents urge: 'Please get the truth out about our son'

Alex Pretti’s parents, Michael and Susan Pretti, have issued a statement following their son’s death at the hands of federal agents in Minneapolis on Saturday.

“We are heartbroken but also very angry,” they said in the statement, which was read aloud on local news channel KARE 11. “Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital.”

“Alex wanted to make a difference in this world. Unfortunately, he will not be with us to see his impact.”

“I do not throw around the ‘hero’ term lightly. However his last thought and act was to protect a woman. The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting,” they said. “Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He has his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down, all while being pepper sprayed.”

“Please get the truth out about our son,” they continued. “He was a good man.”

Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse at the VA, was identified by his parents as the man being shot by federal officers.

The Associated Press reports:

Family members say the man killed by a U.S. Border Patrol officer in Minneapolis on Saturday was an intensive care nurse at a Department of Veterans Affairs hospital who cared deeply about people and was upset by President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown in his city.

Alex Jeffrey Pretti, 37, was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed getting in adventures with Joule, his beloved Catahoula Leopard dog who also recently died. He had participated in protests following the killing of Renee Good by a U.S. Immigration and Customs officer on Jan. 7.

“He cared about people deeply and he was very upset with what was happening in Minneapolis and throughout the United States with ICE, as millions of other people are upset,” said Michael Pretti, Alex’s father. “He thought it was terrible, you know, kidnapping children, just grabbing people off the street. He cared about those people, and he knew it was wrong, so he did participate in protests.”

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has just described watching a video of “more than six masked agents pummeling one of our constituents and shooting him to death.” CNN

“How many more residents, how many more Americans need to die or get badly hurt for this operation to end? How many more lives need to be lost before this administration realizes that a political and partisan narrative is not as important as American values?” Frey asked during a news conference moments ago.
