We meet to see and understand the neoliberal war that is covered with lies pretending to govern, when they put the country in the hands of the great capital, which hinders the collective conscience of the peoples and starts their machinery of dispossession:
Through bloodthirsty and terrorist violence against the peoples that defend the land.
The mourning and rage that inhabits those we meet today is the damage to Mother Earth, the spoil of all forms of life. And those who decided to destroy it to convert it into money have a name and surname, as well as the murderers of our partners. We are hurting in the collective heart the murder of the populous delegated fellow of the CNI, Josué Bernardo Marcial Campo, also known as TíoBad who for his art, his music and his protest against the megaprojects that the bad government claims to have finished, as is the fracking, was disappeared and found brutally murdered last Monday, December 16.
The companion Samir Flores Soberanes of the Nahua people of Amilcingo, Morelos
Comrade Julián Cortés Flores, from the Mephaa people of the House of Justice of San Luis Acatlán, Guerrero.
Comrade Ignacio Pérez Girón, from the Tzotzil people of the municipality of Aldama, Chiapas.
The companions José Lucio Bartolo Faustino, Modesto Verales Sebastián, Bartolo Hilario Morales, and Isaías Xanteco Ahuejote of the Nahua people organized with the Indigenous and Popular Council of Guerrero - Emiliano Zapata (CIPOG - EZ).
The companions Juan Monroy and José Luis Rosales, from the Nahua people of Ayotitlán, Jalisco.
Fellow Feliciano Corona Cirino, companion of the Nahua people of Santa María Ostula, Michoacán.
Our partners were killed for opposing the war with which the bad government intends to take over our lands, mountains and waters, to consolidate the dispossession that threatens our existence as native peoples.
Liars consultations
The bad federal government simulates consulting the peoples, supplants our collective will ignoring and offending our forms of organization and decision making, such as the vulgar deception of what he called "Consultation", whose objective is none other than to forcefully impose the badly called the Mayan Train, which delivers the indigenous territories to the great industrial and tourist capital, or the lies they call also consult to violently impose the Morelos Integral Project, or the megaprojects of death that reconfigure our country to make it available to the capital multinational, mainly imposing the terrorist power of the United States.
Polarization and confrontation between peoples
To advance in its war, the bad government is committed to the dismantling of community fabric, by promoting internal conflicts that stain violence to communities, between those who defend life and those who decided to put a price on it, even at the cost of selling future generations for the millionaire benefit of a few corrupt, served by armed groups of organized crime.
Therefore, we point out that we resist and fight because we are alive, because, although we are afraid of ceasing to exist as what we are, that is not the way we choose for ourselves, for ourselves and for whom we owe.
War expansion
While we, as native peoples, suffer with more violence than ever the war of capital, bad government along with its armed military groups, police, paramilitaries, white guards and shock groups, spread in the name of money the destruction over the entire territory national.
In Veracruz:
In the region of Totonacapan and even Huasteca, the Texas-Tuxpan, Tuxpan-Atotonilco and Tuxpan-Tula gas pipelines are installed. Alongside the lies of the AMLO Neoliberal government, the hydraulic fracture is propped up and operated to extract hydrocarbons, transfers are made to take the water from the rivers and put it in the hands of private, threatening the lives of the Tenek, Nahuatl peoples , Totonac, Otomi and Tepehua, in addition to the increase in organized crime groups.
In Michoacan:
In the territory of the Purépecha plateau, massive sowing of avocado is spread, stripping the territory of the indigenous communities, the forests are demolished and the lakes of Cuitzeo, Zirahuen and Pátzcuaro are being killed.
In the highlands of the Nahua people, the intention of looting by organized crime gangs, with the brazen support of all levels of bad government, threatens the life and integrity of the original peoples, particularly our brothers in the indigenous community Nahua from Santa María Ostula, who resist the devastation of communal territories, through the exploitation of minerals, precious woods and the tourist exploitation of beaches in the municipalities of Aquila, Coahuayana, Chinicuila and Coalcomán, wanting to make it seem that war is between communities or between comuneros, while from above the powerful wait for the moment to be able to appropriate the life that Ostula defends.
In the Purépecha community of Zirahuén, which has a long struggle to defend the lake of the same name, today with the help of armed groups of organized crime, avocado businessmen destroy the forest and pollute the water with the use of pesticides.
In Jalisco:
The invasion of the wixárika territory of San Sebastián Teponahuaxtlán persists at the hands of supposed small owners of Huajimic, Nayarit. Likewise, the government puts thousands of hectares of the Wirikuta sacred territory in the state of San Luis Potosí in the hands of foreign mining companies, threatening the cultural existence and ceremonial territory.
In the Chichimeca indigenous community of San Juan Bautista de La Laguna, in the municipality of Lagos de Moreno, the bad government puts in the hands of individuals the ancestral territory recognized in their primary titles, also imposing a pipeline to supply large industries, before that, in an organized way, the community has resisted despite the repression and criminalization that bad state and municipal governments exercise against them.
The Tepehuana and Wixárika community of San Lorenzo de Azqueltán suffers, along with the dispossession of their land, death threats and attempted homicides such as the one that occurred on November 3, when the cacique named Fabio Flores aka "La Polla", together with armed people he attacked the communal authorities causing serious injuries that were about to cost the lives of the community members Ricardo de la Cruz González, Rafael Reyes Márquez and Noé Aguilar Rojas. All this with the complicity of the municipal government of Villa Guerrero, Jalisco, impunity prevailing in this cowardly crime.
In town:
The bad government, together with its armed group of the National Guard and police groups, intends to impose a megaproject that would dump toxic waste into the Metlapanapa River, this as part of the so-called Comprehensive Project for the Construction of the Sanitary Sewer System of the Industrial Zone of Huejotzingo, known as "Textile City". In the defense of the life of the river and the towns that inhabit it, our companions of the Nahua people, of the communities of San Mateo Cuanalá, San Lucas Nextetelco, San Gabriel Ometoxtla, Santa María Zacatepec and the José Ángeles colony have suffered aggressions by those repressive bodies.
In the Sierra Negra de Puebla, our partner Sergio Rivera Hernández has been disappeared since August 23, 2018, in retaliation for his fight against the destruction caused by the mining company Autlán, so we continue to demand his presentation alive.
In Campeche:
Under the pretext of the so-called “Mayan Train” the construction of 15 new urban centers is being planned, which not only entails environmental destruction, but also implies the dispossession of territories of native peoples.
In Morelos, Puebla and Tlaxcala:
By force, the so-called Morelos Integral Project is imposed, repressing those who disagree, such as the murder of our brother Samir Flores. That crime continues unpunished, because while Samir below is an example of dignity, for those above he deserves only contempt, because for them the important thing is to build the Huexca thermoelectric plant, Morelos, the gas pipeline on the slopes of the sacred Popocatepetl volcano, as well as the industrial and communications infrastructure that entails. Scenario in which the presence of violent criminal groups is sharpened.
In Chiapas:
The intention of dispossession and privatization of the Tzeltal territory for the benefit of private companies persists, through the so-called “Cultural Road” that was previously called “Super Road” and which intends to pass through the territory of the ejido of San Sebastián Bachajón, Palenque and other communities.
Also in the Zoque territory, the large capital identified an oil corridor that covers 9 municipalities, covering an area of 84,500 hectares and which intends to cross the territory of the community of Chapultenango.
The bad governments of all levels, seek through confrontation, paramilitarization and impersonation campaigns, to end the organization of the communities that are organized autonomously, as is the case of our brothers in the ejido Tila.
On the coast of Chiapas we have received threats and dispossession of our lands due to the attempt to build the Pijijiapan - San Cristóbal de las Casas - Palenque highway. In addition to the construction of a gas pipeline that intends to cross the coastal area of Chiapas and Guatemala.
Military and paramilitary harassment against the Zapatista territories persists, to try to weaken and destroy not only the autonomous spaces that have been built, but the echo that expands throughout the country and the world.
In Mexico City:
While the public spaces are denied to the original towns resident in the city for the realization of their work, they are delivered to private capitals for enrichment. Such is the case of the Otomí people residing in Mexico City, who are currently under threat of eviction on Roma street number 18 in the Juarez neighborhood.
While the dispossession of peasant and indigenous spaces in Mexico City is intensifying, the harassment against fellow Gerardo Camacho and Jaime Gómez who have received death threats from the ejido commissioner of the community of San Nicolás Totolapan.
In Guerrero:
Harassment persists against our brothers of the Indigenous and Popular Council of Guerrero Emiliano Zapata, who build their forms of security and justice taking care of the territory before the capitalist ambition.
Mexico state:
In the Valley of Mexico basin the neoliberal megaproject of Santa Lucia and the imposition of the Tuxpan-Mexico highway has been carried out through paramilitaries in the cart on the Ecatepec-Peñón section. As well as the tubing and privatization of rivers and springs.
In Oaxaca:
The Chinantec territory of San Antonio de Las Palmas is being threatened by mining concessions covering more than 15 thousand hectares, as well as dam projects on the Cajonos River, in the Papaloapan basin.
In Oaxaca and Veracruz:
In the south of Veracruz, northern part of the Itsmo de Tehuantepec, they intend to impose an interoceanic corridor, which would transform the region into an immense industrial park, leaving us without water, destroying the nature and fabric of the towns with violence and insecurity. Using the rivers of the indigenous territories for the expansion of the ports that would connect the interoceanic corridor, which is accompanied by mining megaprojects, fracking, business wind farms and the dispossession of water born in indigenous territories.
Sonora:
The Río Mayo is being polluted by the open pit mining company Copper del Mayo that dumps its toxic waste to the Abelardo L. Rodríguez dam, known as the Mocuzarit dam, threatening the collective life of the Mayo people.
Nayarit:
The San Pedro River in the Nayeri territory is threatened by the “Las Cruces” hydroelectric project, as well as the gold and silver mega-mining in the community of Jazmín del Coquito, in the Los Arroyos ranchería.
Yucatan:
In the context of the ongoing imposition of the so-called Mayan Train, our companion Pedro Uc Be, from the Assembly in Defense of the Maya Territory Muuch Xiinbal, was threatened with death
For all the above we point out that our peoples, nations and tribes will continue to care for and defend the seeds of resistance and rebellion in the midst of death. Building a path that will last in the midst of darkness; and we, we will be there to heal our mother earth, together with the peoples of the world.
