Red Lake Chippewa Tribe Supports Palestine: Opposes Apartheid and Genocide

RED LAKE, Minnesota -- The Red Lake Band of Chippewa in Minnesota passed a resolution in support of Palestine, stating the parallel between the current slaughter of Palestinians, and the treatment of Native Americans by the United States government.

The Red Lake Tribal Council urged sanctions against Israel and a halt to the United States funds and weapons to Israel for apartheid and genocide.

Pointing out that sanctions were necessary to end Apartheid in South Africa, the Red Lake Tribal Council urged boycotts and sanctions against Israel to halt the genocide.

Mexico's military used Israel's Pegasus spyware to spy on Yaqui in Sonora, south of the Arizona border, according to leaked files. The Mexican military spied on Vicam Yaqui, during the years when many Vicam Yaqui were kidnapped and falsely imprisoned; disappeared; and brutally assassinated.

Before they were imprisoned and murdered, the Traditional Authority of Vicam Yaqui hosted International Water Forums, and highway blockades for years, to protect their Yaqui River water from being stolen by an aqueduct for the City of Hermosillo.

Tomas Rojo, spokesman for the Traditional Authority of Vicam Pueblo, was brutally assassinated on a morning walk in his community in May, 2021.

During our interview with Tomas in Vicam Pueblo, Tomas spoke of the struggle to recover what has been taken -- the land and the water -- over the past 500 years.

OAKLAND, California -- The final testimony concludes now in today's hearing of President Biden's complicity with genocide. The lawsuit was filed by the Center for Constitutional Rights on behalf of Palestinians in U.S. federal court in Oakland, California.

The Center for Constitutional Rights said Biden has failed to uphold the Genocide Convention. "Not only has the U.S. failed to prevent, but has actively advanced the gravest of crimes."

Biden and cabinet members sought today to halt the case from moving forward in U.S. federal court. However, Senior District Judge Jeffrey S. White consistently overruled Biden's attorney and allowed the testimony today.

Dr. Barry Trachtenberg, Wake Forest University’s presidential chair of Jewish history in North Carolina, and a scholar on the Holocaust and genocide, testified for the plaintiffs as an expert scholar.

The International Court of Justice ruled today:

The Intercept reports now: “Israel must take immediate and effective measures to enable the provision of urgently needed basic services and humanitarian assistance to address the adverse conditions of life faced by Palestinians in the Gaza Strip,” the court said. It also ordered Israel to halt and punish incitement to genocide, to preserve any evidence of violations of the Genocide Convention by its forces or personnel, and to submit a report on its compliance with the court’s orders within one month.

The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada released new records from residential schools, which were essentially prisoner-of-war camps where Native children were victims of genocide. At the same time, the Center for Constitutional Rights in the United States announced its case filed against President Biden for genocide in Palestine begins in federal court in northern California on Friday.

The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation said the Oblates are transferring all outstanding records to the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation. The first group of residential school records is now on its public website.

A Fort McDermitt tribal leader attacked a minor and choked him. The youth was videotaping a public community meeting being held about financial benefits from lithium mining by Lithium Americas, now digging into the Paiute Massacre Site in northern Nevada.

The incident was broadcast on KPFK Los Angeles. It occurred during the quarterly meeting with Lithium Americas and Fort McDermitt Tribal Council, on Monday, Jan. 8.

During the meeting, Arlo Crutcher, former chairman of Fort McDermitt Paiute Shoshone, walked across the conference room where tribal youth Jimmy, a minor, was videotaping. 

Dorece Sam, Jimmy's mother, "It was a quarterly meeting, the community was never advised of this meeting."

Havasupai said their worst fears have come true, and now Energy Fuels is extracting toxic uranium, violating their sacred place, threatening their water, and jeopardizing their existence.

The Havasuapai Tribal Council said, "It is with heavy hearts that we must acknowledge that our greatest fear has come true."

"Despite decades of active and tireless opposition, Energy Fuels, a foreign for-profit mining company, has acted in its own self-serving interest and extracted toxic uranium at the Pinyon Plain Mine (formerly the Canyon Mine), desecrating one of our most sacred sites and jeopardizing the existence of the Havasupai Tribe."

Actionists at the London Stock Exchange were arrested after an undercover journalist using a false identity reported them to police.

The action follows the London Stock Exchange's support for Israel, including investor support for Elbit Systems and Rafael.

Elbit Systems, an Israeli defense contractor, built the spy towers on the Tohono O'odham Nation and provides weaponized drones and surveillance to Israel to target Palestinians for arrest, torture, imprisonment and death.

PARIS -- The EVE Auction in Paris continued the auction of Hopi and Navajo sacred items for the fourth year on June 27, 2014. This video reveals the genocide denier responsible for auctioning off sacred items of Hopi and Navajo. As Alan Leroy rips the posters from the wall, Klee Benally, Dine', tells the profiteer he is committing genocide.

Benally challenges the auctions.

Responding with racism and hostility, Leroy tells Benally, "You were never killed by anybody."

Benally says the items were stolen. "The burden of proof is on you. You are committing cultural genocide."

South Africa has invoked the Genocide Convention at the International Court of Justice at The Hague. The appointees of President Biden, including those who callously allow lithium mining into the Paiute massacre site, are now part of a regime responsible for war crimes and genocide in Palestine.

The Washington Post documented that the white phosphorus being used by Israel in bombs came from the U.S. It is a war crime.
