MINNEAPOLIS TONIGHT: Tear gas blasted outside the site of ICE operations at Fort Snelling. It is the long time site of the removal and genocide of Dakota people. During the ICE raids this week, Jose Roberto Ramirez, was held here. Jose was beaten in the face for no reason during his arrest. Chaos is sweeping through Minneapolis and St. Paul, as out-of-control ICE and U.S. Border Patrol agents brutally arrest community members, break in doors, terrify children in homes, and pepper spray community members.

Native American women, and all women of color are being targeted in Minneapolis and other cities in the U.S., as the violent sweeps continue with disregard to whether people are U.S. citizens.

An Anishinaabe man, and four Oglala Lakota were arrested, all U.S. citizens, during the week filled with terror. ICE murdered Renee Nicole Good, legal observer and mother, on Wednesday.

The base of operations for ICE in Minneapolis is at Fort Snelling -- a site long linked to the removal and genocide of Dakota people.

Women of Color Targeted as 2,000 ICE and Federal Agents Swarm Twin Cities

ICE is now targeting Native American women in Minneapolis and other cities. Native leaders and tribal governments issued strong statements warning of the ongoing arrests and attempted arrests.

Minnesota Mayor Jacob Frey said today that ICE is taking a "scattered buckshot approach" and describes how people of color are being targeted.

Mayor Frey said, "I think the initial impetus to come to Minnesota was to arrest and deport a bunch of Somali people. And then they get here and realize the Somali people that would be arrested or deported are all American citizens."

"Then they turned their ire toward our Latino community and other communities. These are communities that make Minneapolis a better place." https://x.com/i/status/2010033268414931454

ICE Brutally Arresting Native Americans in Minneapolis

In a horrifying arrest, ICE punched Jose 'Beto' Roberto Ramirez, Red Lake Chippewa, repeatedly in the face for no reason, and dragged him from his vehicle. As Ramirez was complying, ICE hit him, as his aunt was screaming for help.

Shawntia Sosa-Clara told her nephew to let the agents scan his face before an agent hit Ramirez. "Why did you hit him?" The video shows the ICE agent repeatedly punching Ramirez as Sosa-Clara screams.

Oglala Lakota President Frank Star Comes Out said four Lakota men were arrested in the migrant raids this week. ICE targeted the area where Native Americans live in Minneapolis. As of Sunday night, there are no updates on where they are now.

Red Lake Anishinaabe home again after being brutalized by ICE

Jose Roberto Ramirez, Red Lake Anishinaabe, 20, was beaten in the face for no reason by ICE goons and taken to the ICE command center at Fort Snelling -- the long time site of the removal and genocide of Dakota people in Minneapolis. ICE detained him out in the cold for three hours.

Sun Post reports he is home again. "According to his family, Ramirez recalls being held down during most of the ride in the vehicle.

"He said 'Man, it was crazy, I didn't know where I was going or what was going on.' He said, 'I thought I was being kidnapped. They kept their masks on the whole time and just held me down,'" Sosa-Clara said.

Once Ramirez got there, his family said he found an overcrowded room full of people crying. The agents were allegedly laughing, making jokes and denying Ramirez access to a bathroom. His handcuffs were too tight, and when he complained, someone tightened them further."
