Zapatistas under attack, suspend southern Mexico plans

Subcomandante Marcos: Zapatistas under attack in Chiapas by police and paramilitary, plans for central and southern Chiapas supended. Zapatistas will proceed with the Intercontinental Encuentro in Vicam Pueblo Oct. 11 -- 14, 2007. Marcos said, "We will do what we have to do: resist. It does not matter if we have to do it alone.
