Mato White Plume said, "A lasting impression this film left was the shared themes of systemic confinement, and the resistance against it. Seeing these two histories laid side by side like that, it clicks. It makes the regimes of control and displacement undeniable. It was for sure heavy, but the kind of heavy that fuels the flame for liberation."

"The most powerful was witnessing the raw acts of resistance," said
Mato White Plume, Organizer for Moccasins On The Move.

In Backlash to Campus Pro-Palestine Protests, Echoes of Standing Rock and the Global Crackdown on Climate Protest

The use of militarized police and “antiterrorism” laws against activists is not new in the U.S.

by Alleen Brown, Drilled
This story is co-published with the Center for Media and Democracy.

As soon as a single Palestinian activist showed up at an anti-Dakota Access Pipeline camp on the edge of the Standing Rock reservation in 2016, intelligence analysts for the mercenary security firm TigerSwan were on alert."

"El-Zabri, the Palestinian activist surveilled at Standing Rock, was among 79 people arrested this week while protesting at the University of Texas at Austin. “It really felt like the same as Standing Rock, when we were facing the police,” he said. “There was a whole army that looked like it was at war in riot gear. They eventually used tear gas and pepper spray.”

“They're afraid of what we have to say and the people that we can touch,” said Cornell senior Yanenowi Logan, who is Deer Clan from the Seneca Nation and has been negotiating with campus administrators.

"Logan said that by standing up for Gazans, she and other Native organizers are also standing up for themselves. “We want to be able to show them that, hey, we're still here,” she said. “You can try to kill us. You can burn our crops. You can do whatever you want to do, but we're still going to persist.”

OAKLAND, California -- The final testimony concludes now in today's hearing of President Biden's complicity with genocide. The lawsuit was filed by the Center for Constitutional Rights on behalf of Palestinians in U.S. federal court in Oakland, California.

The Center for Constitutional Rights said Biden has failed to uphold the Genocide Convention. "Not only has the U.S. failed to prevent, but has actively advanced the gravest of crimes."

Biden and cabinet members sought today to halt the case from moving forward in U.S. federal court. However, Senior District Judge Jeffrey S. White consistently overruled Biden's attorney and allowed the testimony today.

Dr. Barry Trachtenberg, Wake Forest University’s presidential chair of Jewish history in North Carolina, and a scholar on the Holocaust and genocide, testified for the plaintiffs as an expert scholar.

'Race, Liberation and Palestine' Rutgers Refuses to Shut Down Event after Congressman's Demand

By Brenda Norrell, Censored News, Dec. 8, 2023

Update Dec. 13, 2023
Rutgers University has suspended Students for Justice in Palestine, after the Biden administration announced a civil rights investigation. The U.S. Office of Civil Rights has now published a list of schools 'under investigation.'

Students for Justice in Palestine at Rutgers responded and said it was censorship aimed at silencing voices for Palestine. "This attempt to conflate protected speech with violence is dangerous," said the student group Wednesday. "The administration’s letter contributes to the perception of Arab and Palestinian students on campus as terrorist threats, a racist and unacceptable caricature. These allegations lodged against our group, with no due process, are attempts to silence Palestinian voices." Read the statement here.

NEW BRUNSWICK, New Jersey -- The threats, pressure from a U.S. Congressman, and 12,000 e-mails, didn't shut down the event, "Race, Liberation and Palestine," at Rutgers University.

Nick Estes, Lakota, Lower Brule in South Dakota, said the U.S. had more than 400 federal institutions dedicated to removing Native children from their families, all across the United States, and in Alaska and the Pacific.

Look at the headstones at Carlisle Barracks, where there are more than 200 headstones, Estes said.

TUCSON, Arizona -- A Pro-Palestinian rally was canceled after the University of Arizona's president spoke out against it. The university not only partners with the weapons maker, but it has a manufacturing plant on the Navajo Nation, where commercial crops are grown.

Raytheon's missile plant on the Navajo Nation was so censored by Indian Country Today, when I was a staff reporter there, that the editors told me not to even research it.

Today the BBC, and the New York Times, are called out for their bias in news reporting, supporting Apartheid and war crimes. The endless wars, which benefit war manufacturers, of the U.S. and U.K. have resulted in endless wars, killing millions of innocent people -- women, children and elderly -- around the globe.

Today in the news, Palestinian Ambassador to the UK Harsam Zarlos told the BBC, "I refuse to answer the question because I refuse its premise."

Raytheon Missiles in Tucson is among the warmakers benefitting from U.S. government contracts, and manufacturing weapons for Israel. Raytheon formed a partnership with the Israeli defense company Rafael Advanced Defense Systems.
