"Canoes participating in Paddle to Elwha 2025 arrived on the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe's beach last week, despite a few days of wild weather and a tsunami warning, and were welcomed to come ashore, eat, get warm and gather with friends and family. Protocol continues until August 5."

Muckleshoot Tribe: "We raise our hands to the Muckleshoot Canoe Family as they leave Port Gamble today and head to Port Townsend, ahead of the final landing in Elwha on Thursday and Protocol this weekend. The theme of this year's Canoe Journey, “Dams Removed - A River Reborn - Spirits Renewed”, perfectly sums up how it brings all of the participants together as we traverse our ancestral waterways. We give a special thank you as well to The Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe for hosting." July 29, 2025 |
