Apache Stronghold Sacred Journey
Censored News
Sisnaajini or Blanca Peak, Colorado
June 15, 2018
The Stronghold Sacred Journey stopped for prayers at the base of one of the four sacred mountains of the homelands of the Diné. Sisnaajini sits as the Eastern facing mountain peak. And as one of members of the Journey, Derek who is Diné, said to us, "It is a place where the Creator made to assist us with right thinking, of learning to see clearly."

And so we offered prayers with cedar and we saw that with all of our differences that the colonizer’s world uses to separate us, that we were really one family. We are brothers and sisters. If only this nation could see this — our sacred unity — it might see clearly enough to adjust its thinking.
These are the prayers that our sacred journey brings for the Poor People’s Campaign.
