WINNEMUCCA, Nevada -- A surveillance balloon was over Winnemucca today at 1:30 a.m., the same day that Paiute Shoshone announced that they asked the Nevada court to dismiss charges filed by Lithium Americas against those defending the Paiute Massacre Site at Peehee Mu'huh, Thacker Pass.

The surveillance balloon over Winnemucca shows no registered owner.

The balloon was in international waters northwest of Santa Barbara, California, lingering there, as shown on flight radar, before traveling over Winnemucca today.

Mexico's Government Spy Files on Yaqui and Zapatistas in Europe Leaked by Hacker Collective

A hacker collective leaked the spy files of Mexico's Ministry of Defense, revealing spying on the Zapatistas and their supporters during the Journey for Life in Europe in 2021. The spy files include Mexico's targeting of both powerful Indigenous women and Indigenous movement leaders in Mexico.

The files were released by the hacktivists Guacamaya.

The leaked files reveal the Mexican government spying on the Yaqui Traditional Authority in Vicam, Sonora, where Vicam Yaqui spokesmen have been kidnapped, imprisoned, and assassinated.

Vicam Yaqui protested the theft of their water for an aqueduct taking Yaqui River water to the city of Hermosillo. Vicam Yaqui have maintained highway blockades for years in defense of their water on a major highway, slowing down the flow of commercial trucks to the U.S. and elsewhere.

Top photo: Vicam Yaqui Spokesperson Tomas Rojo, a soft-spoken agricultural engineer, was kidnapped and brutally murdered in 2021. Tomas was found buried in the desert outside the village. The new spy files of Mexico's Defense Department on Yaqui in Vicam are especially chilling since the exposure follows a series of assassinations of Vicam Yaqui.

ALI JEGK -- Tohono O'odham of Ali Jegk community, along the border, just sent these images to Censored News. The military helicopter appears to be "dusting" O'odham, residents reported.
Ali Jegk is located on the far west side of the sovereign Tohono O'odham Nation.
It is located in Gu Vo District, which continues to oppose the Israeli spy towers recently approved by the tribal government.
O'odham said the planned construction of the integrated fixed towers will disturb a Ceremonial area and burial place. The same area was dusted by a military helicopter late today.
Ebit Systems is the contractor selected by US Homeland Security. Elbit is also the Israeli defense contractor which provides Israel with Apartheid Security in Palestine.
The Ali Jegk village is located near Organ Pipe National Monument, on the Arizona border, a site that Trump has selected as a priority for border wall construction to begin.

TigerSwan Targeted and Infiltrated Standing Rock Camps to Ensure Lucrative DAPL Contract, New Article Reports

On Nov. 20, 2016, water protectors at Standing Rock camps were shot with rubber bullets, tear gas and water cannons in freezing temperatures, after TigerSwan provoked the situation. Numerous water protectors were seriously injured, some critically.

TigerSwan Targeted and Infiltrated Standing Rock Camps to Ensure Lucrative DAPL Contract, New Article Reports

Article by Brenda Norrell

Feb. 27, 2018

TigerSwan used military provocateurs and infiltrators in an attempt to  provoke water protectors, with the goal of extending its lucrative contract paid by Energy Transfer Partners' Dakota Access Pipeline, a new article reports.

The article -- exposing provocateurs and infiltrators at the Water Protector Camps in Standing Rock and Iowa -- is published in SOFREP, Special Forces News, Military Intelligence Spec Ops. The article, TigerSwan: Former Delta Operator sought to incite violence at the Dakota Access Pipeline, is written by Jack Murphy.

On October 11, 2016, TigerSwan’s program manager, retired Delta Force Sergeant Major John Porter, met with Silverton security’s owner, Carl Clifton, inside a hangar at the Mandan Municipal Airport, the article reports.
"The hangar was initially used by Silverton security as a clandestine office for their intelligence cell that collected information on the protesters, self-described water protectors, at Standing Rock. The managers from the two rival private security companies had both been hired by Energy Transfer Partners (ETP) to manage the protesters at the Dakota Access Pipe Line (DAPL)."
The lengthy article describes how US military, both active military, which is a violation, and retired veterans, were used as provocateurs and infiltrators. This included Marines and Army Rangers.
TigerSwan's incentive was money -- to keep the conflict going as long as possible -- because DAPL was paying huge sums  to security contractors, the article reports.
TigerSwan and other security contractors were not licensed to work in North Dakota. Security contractors who were armed were illegally carrying weapons, the article states.
Provocateurs and False Flags
TigerSwan's retired military agent Porter, called out on his radio in  an attempt to provoke water protectors.
Pretending to be a water protector, Porter would call out on his radio from the North Bridge of the Cannon Ball River:
"All warriors to the bridge!"
"Everyone to the bridge, all warriors to the bridge!"
Eventually, John Porter got exactly what he wanted.
On November 20, water protectors began gathering at the North Bridge.
On Nov. 20, water protectors were shot with tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannons in freezing temperatures.
Infiltrators
TigerSwan security operatives were told not to ask about the infiltrator/provocateurs shown below. The two in the photo were TigerSwan's Special Mission Unit and were in Standing Rock and Iowa, according to this article.
The article also exposes security undercover agent Landon Steele, who denied that he was working for a security company while he was in camp.
Steele was shown with his dog at the time when attack dogs attacked water protectors on Sept. 3, 2016.
Steele denied that he worked for a security company, and he continued to be supported in camp.
This article says that he was a contractor for Silverton security, and his dog was a bomb detection dog. (Landon can be seen in the videos walking across the scene in Sept. 3, and is shown in the chart prepared by water protectors below.)
The article also describes the security agent who blasted into camp armed, Kyle Thompson, and states that he was a heroin addict.

FBI paid infiltrator
Heath Harmon

The Intercept previously exposed FBI informant Heath Harmon, of the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Nation in North Dakota. Harmon was a paid infiltrator in Standing Rock Water Protector Camp, and owned the firearm that Red Fawn is accused of having, when she was tackled by police.

Secretive U.S. Police Fusion Center Targeted Activists and Journalists at Standing Rock

Standing Rock Water Protectors Resisted and Maintained, Making it a Win

By Brenda Norrell
Censored News

The ACLU describes the secretive U.S government's Fusion Centers, and the dangers of this data sharing, and targeting of individuals who have committed no crimes, by these joint law enforcement operations.
The ACLU said the dangers include over-reaching, fear-mongering, and including private contractors and military, in joint police operations.
This was what happened at Standing Rock when Morton County Sheriff, TigerSwan, National Sheriffs Association, National Guard, out-of-state police and  private security worked with police in 2016 and 2017, targeting a spiritual and prayerful movement.
This data sharing by Fusion Centers creates false intelligence, violates privacy, and brings great harm to those targeted by these secret operations.
The North Dakota Fusion Center was a focal point of operations targeting Standing Rock water protectors and the movement.
At least one paid FBI infiltrator was in the water protector camps and targeted Red Fawn Fallis.
The facts about the willing and paid FBI infiltrator Heath Harmon and his brother Chad Harmon (Federal BIA police at Standing Rock) are just now being exposed. They are from Fort Berthold, Three Affiliated Tribes, Mandan, Arikara and Hidatsa, in North Dakota.
We know from attacks on Censored News that a large number of former Iraq and Afghanistan US military, including special ops, were involved at Standing Rock and targeted water protectors.
We also know from The Intercept's exposures of the North Dakota Fusion Center, that Censored News was targeted. I was named, as journalist and publisher of Censored News, in those targeted.
The tentacles of this massive targeting brought in former military and former police.
Retired Bismarck, North Dakota, police working for Dakota Access Pipeline's private security firms were photographed in the dog attack on water protectors protecting burial places in September of 2016.
TigerSwan's role has also been exposed, revealing that increased fear-mongering kept money flowing to the mercenaries.
TigerSwan was not licensed and operated illegally in North Dakota.
The National Sheriffs Association -- headed by the Sheriff at the end of Bayou Bridge pipeline in Louisiana -- played a key role in the secret joint operation, and lobbied Congress for military gear.
Bayou Bridge Pipeline is operated and co-owned, by Energy Transfer Partners, which also owns Dakota Access Pipeline.
The U.S. Fusion Center in North Dakota is an arm of the U. S. government.
President Obama could have stopped the Dakota Access Pipeline, and halted the police brutality -- rubber bullets, tear gas, water cannons in subzero temperatures, strip searches and imprisonment in dog cages of water protectors.
Obama chose not to.
Resisting and maintaining through all that makes Standing Rock Water Protectors'  resistance a win for water protectors.
We send our respect to all who paid the price.

Update Feb. 5, 2018: Water protector Sophia Wilansky, 22, whose arm was blown to pieces by a projectile, has filed suit, after the FBI refused to return the evidence taken:

ACLU on Fusion Centers:

We found that while fusion centers vary widely in what they do, but five overarching problems with these domestic intelligence operations put Americans' privacy and civil liberties at risk:
  1. Ambiguous Lines of Authority. In a multi-jurisdictional environment it is unclear what rules apply, and which agency is ultimately responsible for the activities of the fusion center participants.
  2. Private Sector Participation. Some fusion centers incorporate private-sector corporations into the intelligence process, potentially undermining privacy laws designed to protect the privacy of innocent Americans, and increasing the risk of a data breach.
  3. Military Participation. Some fusion centers include military personnel in law enforcement activities in troubling ways.
  4. Data Mining. Federal fusion center guidelines encourage wholesale data collection and data manipulation processes that threaten privacy.
  5. Excessive Secrecy. Fusion centers are characterized by excessive secrecy, which limits public oversight, impairs their ability to acquire essential information and impedes their ability to fulfill their stated mission, bringing their ultimate value into doubt.

Militarized Police Attack Standing Rock Treaty Camp: Rubber bullets, tear gas, arrests of elders

.
"Today we stood strong against this Nazi oil bought police force. They set off LRAD on us, hit us, maced us, arrested our grandmothers, uncles, they shot at our horse relatives, they set off concussion grenades, rubber bullets into the unarmed crowd. They desecrated sacred land and destroyed our homes on tribal land. We had snipers scoping me out with an assault rifle pointed at me and my relative. Our hearts were wounded but we will regroup and keep our minds in high vibrations because it is not over.
We will stop the pipeline." Cepoalli

Water Protector: "I saw an 18 year old young man get shot while on a horse today--then his horse. I was standing 20 feet away. I saw young warriors on horse being chased on ATV's, being shot at. I saw our former chairman get arrested. I saw an Unci get maced right in the face. I saw the cops drag two men from the sweatlodge, feet from me, in their underwear and slammed face down into the ground and arrested. All these crimes were committed against our people on land guaranteed to our people under the Fort Laramie Treaty of 1851."

By Robert --- "At 9:30 am Thurs. morning. There are private security roaming around and and an encampment of cops and military over the hill. I suppose they believe if we can't directly see them then we won't know they are there ha. Still, it's a beautiful day and relatively warm. Enjoy your day and keep pushing out the news about what's happening here."

Standing Rock Sioux Chairman Dave Archambault:

"Militarized law enforcement agencies moved in on water protectors with tanks and riot gear today. We continue to pray for peace. We call on the state of North Dakota to oversee the actions of local law enforcement to, first and foremost, ensure everyone’s safety. The Department of Justice must send overseers immediately to ensure the protection of First Amendment rights and the safety of thousands here at Standing Rock. DOJ can no longer ignore our requests. If harm comes to any who come here to stand in solidarity with us, it is on their watch. They must step in and hold the state of North Dakota and Morton County accountable for their acts of violence against innocent, prayerful people.
The Obama administration has asked DAPL to voluntarily halt construction until the review process has been completed, but DAPL has ignored these repeated requests. By deploying law enforcement to support DAPL construction, the State of North Dakota is collaborating with Energy Transfer Partners and escalating tensions.
We need our state and federal governments to bring justice and peace to our lands, not the force of armored vehicles.
We have repeatedly seen a disproportionate response from law enforcement to water protectors’ nonviolent exercise of their constitutional rights. Today we have witnessed people praying in peace, yet attacked with pepper spray, rubber bullets, sound and concussion cannons. We urge state and federal government agencies to give this tense situation their immediate and close attention.
We also call on the thousands of water protectors who stand in solidarity with us against DAPL to remain in peace and prayer. Any act of violence hurts our cause and is not welcome here. We invite all supporters to join us in prayer that, ultimately, the right decision—the moral decision—is made to protect our people, our sacred places, our land and our resources. We won't step down from this fight. As peoples of this earth, we all need water. This is about our water, our rights, and our dignity as human beings."
