Arizona Border Spy Corporations and Human Rights Abusers Exposed in new Global Border Report

Censored News investigates the spy contractors and human rights abusers exposed in a new global report, beginning with two companies on the Arizona border that are linked to abuses in Palestine and torture in prisons.

The Israeli defense contractor Elbit Systems is now completing spy towers in the remote portion of the western Tohono O'odham Nation.

A second company, G4S, based in the UK, has the contract to transport detained migrants in buses on the Arizona border. G4S has been sued for prisoner abuse, and has staff in prisons in Palestine and Guantanamo where torture is documented.

Both companies are operating on the Arizona border under U.S. contract. Both are among 23 border profiteers abusing human rights exposed in a new global report, 'Financing Border Wars.'

There are two surprises in the new global report, 'Financing Border Wars.'

The first is the name of the secretive air transport company in Florida, Classic Air Charter, responsible for migrant deportation flights. It was previously a CIA subcontractor for rendition flights to torture. It now carries out deportation flights of 'high risk' migrants and refugees in the U S. who it says are uncooperative, Censored News reveals.

Among the locations of these secretive deportation flights are Mesa, Arizona, and locations on the Texas border. Deportees have been victims of violence on these deportation flights.

The second surprise is that Reuters isn't just a news service. An arm of Thomas Reuters provides ICE and the US Border Patrol with select information and analysis about migrants and refugees, by way of a contract, the new global report reveals.

Very little was known about the border corporations operating on the Arizona border until now. The global report reveals Oak Ridge National Labs in Tennessee is carrying out facial recognition from inside vehicles on the Arizona border.

Oak Ridge is part of the top secret Manhattan Project which began experimenting with plutonium in 1943 as the atomic bomb was developed.

Another company, Wackenhut, once employed security guards at Peabody Coal on Black Mesa, as the U.S. and Peabody seized Navajo lands for coal mining, resulting in the genocidal relocation.

Then Wackenhut split into two companies for maximum profiteering from misery -- Wackenhut Transportation and GEO Group.

Wackenhut Transportation gained the contract on the Arizona border to transport detained migrants. The second company in the corporate split, GEO Group,  now operates migrant prisons and migrant  detention centers for profit nationwide.

Wackenhut Transportation was then bought by G4S, based in the UK, which now has the US contract to transport detained migrants on the Arizona border.

A separate company, CoreCivic -- which changed its name from Corrections Corporation of America -- operates private migrant prisons for profit in Arizona.

In southern Arizona at CoreCivic's migrant prison in Eloy,, the coronavirus has rampaged through the prison due to the company's failure to protect inmates and staff from the virus.

Both prisons for profit operating in the United States -- GEO and CoreCivic -- are listed in the  new global report exposing 23 companies profiteering and violating the human rights of migrants and refugees around the world.

The Arizona spy contractors and human rights abusers included in the new report, 'Financing Border Wars,' are described in more detail in an investigative report by Censored News.

Ofelia Rivas, Tohono O'odham and longtime founder of O'odham Voice Against the Wall, documents the destruction by the Israeli defense contractor Elbit Systems on the Tohono O'odham Nation. Elbit is protested globally because of its abuses in Palestine and violations with drones.

The Gu-Vo District of the Tohono O'odham Nation opposed the Israeli spy towers six years ago by resolution.

However, the Tohono O'odham Nation government approved the spy towers, referred to as integrated fixed towers.

Very little has been published about the Fusion centers, a collaboration of intelligence sharing by federal, state and local law enforcement agencies.

The Fusion Center in North Dakota was exposed for targeting Standing Rock Water Protectors and relying on TigerSwan for Intel. The result was militarized police brutalizing Water Protectors and Native elderly locked in dog cages. Throughout the U.S., secretive Fusion Centers have targeted peaceful protesters and violated their rights.

Although little is public about Fusion Centers, two tribal governments are part of U.S. Fusion Centers on the northern and southern borders, the Tohono O'odham Nation and Blackfeet Nation, according to this 2017 article.

The Intercept reports on Fusion Centers in this new article.
