MNN: THE GRUDGE

THE GRUDGE
MNN.  Jan. 31, 2013. We remember that Canadians elected megalomaniac Stephen Harper as CEO of the Corporation of Canada. His two main goals for the shareholders are to get rid of the landowners, the Indigenous people, once and for all, and to steal our resources for good.
Canada is a hot dictatorship. Harper can enact laws without consulting anyone. He can prorogue Parliament anytime to put the illusion of democracy on hold. He doesn’t have to answer to anybody. Two years ago the people could have pulled the plug on him. They did nothing.

Canadians, even though they may not like his genocide strategy, turn a blind eye. They are complicit in the genocide. When will they stop looking away while he puts Canada in all the wars of the black serpent, in Mali, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Egypt, Syria, and so on? Everybody will either end up dead or continue serving the male hierarchy as slaves.
Residential Schools are their monuments to remind us of Canada’s trail towards fascism and mass murder. 50% of our children were killed. Hitler studied and perfected this death camp system with a 100% death rate.
Criminals need the Red Serpent, Atleo, here surrounded by White Serpent. The masses erase from their memory all the crimes committed against us to get what they have today. The thugs of the royal economic crime syndicates are setting up their machinery of global mass murder in Canada because they think Canadians will not resist, “We need the jobs.  We have to follow orders!”

Criminals need the Red Serpent, Atleo, here surrounded by White Serpent.
Canada has a British Parliamentary system based on hierarchy.  Canada is a Corporation with shareholders [bankers].  Directors [Senators] are appointed to oversee the officers.  The officers [Members of Parliament] manage the day-to-day operation of the corporation to provide ever increasing dividends for the shareholders. The top officers are the Prime Minister, the Leader of the Opposition and the Finance Minister. The  directors [the Senators] only report to the shareholders of the corporation [bankers].  None answer to the people, only to the bankers.
Too many Heil Harpers is making you sick! The main duty of the officers of the corporation is to provide ever growing profits to the shareholders and to continue the illusion of freedom to the people. Harper often reminds the masses they have no rights, only privileges. Our Great Mother always reminds us to resist!

Jim, Too many Heil Harpers is making you sick!
Minister of Finance, Jim “Austerity Measures” Flaherty, is suddenly suffering from a mysterious disease that makes his face look fat. It could be the “Owistah” disease.
As Blue Oyster Cult sang in Godzilla:  “History shows again and again how nature points out the folly of men, Godzilla, Godzilla, Godzilla, Godzilla”.    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7gFlSGXt_k

Protest Destruction of Peaks! Stop Snowbowl! Idle No More!

Protest Destruction of the Peaks! Stop Snowbowl! Idle No More!

Join us February 1-9, 2013
In Flagstaff, Arizona

The multimillionaire owners of Arizona Snowbowl are preparing to celebrate "75 years" of ecological destruction and cultural genocide. We plan on being there to insure that we honor 500 years of resistance!

We have NEVER been idle.

In 1983, after decades of persistent community resistance, Snowbowl was allowed by a court ruling to develop a ski area on 777 acres of the Peaks. Snowbowl claims to be 75 years old, but the fact is they have only operated as a ski resort since the mid 80s. Their anniversary is premature, promoting a bluff that their existence is foundational to the beginning times of Flagstaff.

For the past two years, Snowbowl excavators cut into our mother, making way for the ski slope extensions and the reclaimed wastewater infrastructure. Then and still, we can not ignore the overwhelming rumble
of thousands of old-growth trees crashing into the torn earth.

So we hiked at dawn and chained ourselves to stop their violent machines. We marched peacefully with hundreds of our friends and neighbors as the Flagstaff police attacked us without provocation (all charges were ultimately dismissed). We blockaded Snowbowl road and were subject to further state violence as jackhammers and metal saws cut inches from our limbs. Nearly 50 arrests marked our deep commitment to stop the colonial violence of the state and madness of greedy corporations. We have been compelled by the goal of protection for this sacred mountain, for protection of this rare alpine wilderness area, for protection of public health, for protection of the animals who make the Peaks their home, for protection of the endangered San Francisco Peaks Groundsel, and protection for all those who know their sacred links with these mountains.

Snowbowl is now the first ski area in the world to make fake snow from 100% treated sewage. We have temporally lost this battle with attacks on us from the U.S. Forest Service and the so called U.S. "judicial system", but we still can and will stop snowmaking.

We invite everyone who finds the calling in their hearts to resist, oppose, & confront Snowbowl to join us in the spirit of Idle No More. "Idle No More calls on all people to join in a revolution which honors and
fulfills Indigenous sovereignty which protects the land and water." -

TEXAS TARSANDS ACTION Blockader disrupts oil and gas pipeline conference

BREAKING: Blockader Disrupts Oil & Gas Pipeline Conference

UPDATE: 12:00 PM – Ramsey has been arrested. Demonstrate your support and contribute to his bail here.

UPDATE: 11:00 AM – 3 detained blockaders are now being released and escorted away
UPDATE: 10:30 AM - 3 blockaders who are supporting Ramsey have been detained
BREAKING – 9:30 AM: Activist interrupts pipeline conference, releases photos of flawed welds on Keystone XL pipeline.
Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel, The Woodlands, TX – 9 AM this morning, TransCanada executive Tom Hamilton’s presentation of a Keystone XL case study at the Pipe Tech Americas 2013 conference was interrupted when a blockader chained himself to audio equipment and delivered a speech to the nearly 300 attendees. Hamilton, the Manager of Quality and Compliance for the Keystone Pipeline, was supposed to give a forty-minute talk about safety and regulations related to the southern portion of the KXL pipeline. Instead, Tar Sands Blockade organizer Ramsey Sprague gave an impassioned rebuttal highlighting TransCanada’s poor safety record.
For several minutes before security disassembled the audio equipment and took him away, Sprague described shoddy welding practices and dangerous corner-cutting throughout TransCanada’s operations as exposed by whistleblowers like Evan Vokes, a metallurgic engineer who came forward in May 2012, leading to an investigation by Canada’s National Energy Board. Sprague reminded attendees that TransCanada’s first Keystone pipeline has already leaked over 30 times and that other industry leaders such as Enbridge are similarly negligent, with over 800 spills since 1999. He derided TransCanada for routing the KXL pipeline through ecologically sensitive areas and through communities like the one in Douglass, TX, where construction crews are actively laying pipe within sight of the Douglass public school.
“TransCanada’s safety record is beyond deplorable,” said Ramsey Sprague, “Their wanton disregard for the health of our communities is demonstrated by their countless toxic tar sands spills. I’m compelled to take action today and shed light on the dangerous material this multinational corporation is pumping through our homes.”
Sprague also described how activists who blockaded themselves inside the actual KXL pipe on December 3rd could see daylight through holes in welds connecting segments of pipe – and how Tar Sands Blockade has the pictures to prove it. That mile-long section of the pipe was laid in the ground on the same day; no additional welding or inspection occurred after the photos were taken.

mnnlogo1MNN: PERFECT STORM COMING

Captain Atleo, are you going down with your ship?PERFECT STORM COMING
MNN.  Jan. 31, 2013.  The corporate chiefs have always been part of the white serpent’s tail. Duct tape won’t fix the big crack in the Harper-AFN unity ship. Captain Shawn Atleo of the S.S. Traitor, keeps trying to push the illusion that we are all united behind him. It’s a big lie.
Captain Atleo, are you going down with your ship?

The corporate Indians are doing their own version of the Idle Nor More public round dance called the “I’m-not-with-him-anymore” jig. They’re trying to avoid their own filth as they dance privately to their master’s tune. This maneuver is probably going on all over Canada. “What-will-we-do” committees are springing up everywhere. With the illegal Indian Act, AFN and band and tribal councils dissolved, Harper can’t push through his agenda to steal everything and get rid of us for good.
S.S. Traitor, you are going down! The chiefs took the money, said nothing, are being caught with their hands in the cookie jar and trying to illegally sign away our possession so they and their children personally benefit. Is there a lot of document shredding going on at Indian Affairs right now to falsify the truth? They want to say there are no Indians and therefore no Indian Trust Funds to complete the theft of our $3 trillion.
The Indian accomplices think they’re fooling us by saying, “OMG. I didn’t know. I never took nothin’”.  Really, they’re saying, “I’m one of them sell-outs. Sure, I’m rich, have money in the bank, signed a few deals, my kids go to private school. I worked hard for it…”.
S.S. Traitor, you are going down!
The S.S. Traitor, like a ship on the high seas with a full wind and no rudder, will end up on the rocks. Like the Rolling Stones sang in “Sweet Virginia”:  “Come on, come on down, sweet Virginia.  Come on, honey child.  I beg of you.  You got to scrape that shit right off your shoe”.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62iCo7euuPg

Please stop dropping bombs on us!
“Please stop dropping bombs on us!”
MNN:  Jan. 29, 2013.  More drone bases, more guns, more bombs, flying killer robots, more gas, more killing fields of women, men and kids, more hunger, malnutrition, starvation.  We Indigenous women are the “progenitors of the soil” on behalf of the coming children.  We are letting the war makers and profiteers hide in our territories, to steal our resources to make lethal weapons and to commit atrocities against everyone in the world. They and their accomplices live here in their high rises, dressed in fancy suits. Their highly paid band and tribal chiefs grovel at their feet crying, “Give me that paper.  I’ll sign it!”  They are always ready to push Harper’s fake laws to continue the bloodshed.

Our work must be supported and protected. Our duty is to stop the war problem forever, to bring peace on earth. To those profiteering and manipulating the war economy, get off our land! Take your band and tribal council pets with you.
The council of the great peace needs the balance of the male and female energies within the consensus process. It is the basis of the interactions between all our communities. The men help the people to follow the law of the land.
Council of Women.
Council of Women. The Corporation of Canada is making a last ditch try to steal everything. Then they plan to flee with our $3 trillion Indian Trust Funds. Mark “Carnage” Carney, former Governor of the Bank of Canada, is on his way to England hoping to drop it at the feet of his royal economists. Indigenous have reported him to INTERPOL for investigation of the biggest heist in banking history.
The lawyers, bureaucrats and developers show up for the sale. The bosses from Ottawa draw up the papers. The chiefs sign them and walk away with envelopes stuffed with money. National, provincial organizations and Band and tribal councils have been set up for no other purpose than to help with the theft and genocide.
Assembly of First Nations and the band council’s job is to ignore our rightful requests for full consultation and consent. Municipal councils send a fax or email to the nearby band councils, who are not supposed to respond. Based on the non-response, contracts then proceed.
If anyone doubts this corporate plan, ask your band council for their corporation number, corporate papers, minute book, shareholders list, business plan, chiefs’ and band bank accounts.
Harper & his women. We are not victims. We are the proud natural people of Great Turtle Island. Round dances are wonderful. Soon we will dance for joy when the blood suckers leave. Band councils, stand aside as you have alienated yourselves, according to our law. Canada, dissolve your illegal corporation because you aren’t going to steal any more of our resources nor our money. Mark Carney, drop that bag of Indian loot.
Harper & his women.
Harper, did you ever meet a real woman who didn’t feel like slapping your face?
As Helen Reddy sang:  “I am woman.  Hear me roar.  In numbers too big to ignore.  And I know too much to go back and pretend cause I’ve heard it all before.  And I’ve been down there on the floor, and no one’s ever gonna keep me down again”. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zu4xpDuf84A

University of Arizona, why the tap dance isn't enough

University of Arizona claims it will have a human rights conference -- while designing drones and partnering with Homeland Security and Raytheon Missiles

By Brenda Norrell
Censored News
http://www.bsnorrell.blogspot.com

TUCSON -- The University of Arizona claims it will have a human rights conference focused on Indigenous Peoples and extractive industries. This is the same university that has its students designing drones and partners with Raytheon Missiles, as the US uses drones for targeted assassinations.

The university, under the guise of giving both sides of the story, collects large amounts of data from Indigenous Peoples and in the end, gives it to its corporate partners like Raytheon and Boeing, which built the border wall and spy towers on Tohono O'odham land.

Don't be fooled by the University of Arizona. It has a department of Homeland Security on campus, a class that teaches students how to target people of color for arrest on the US/Mexico border, and a global cyber spy program targeting people of Middle Eastern descent.

If this is a real human rights conference on Indigenous Peoples, human rights and extractive industries on Feb. 1, where are the Navajo and Hopi frontline warriors, fighting Peabody Coal, Navajo Generating Station and its operator Salt River Project. Where are the water warriors who will reveal how the US and non-Indian attorneys employed by the Indian Nations in Arizona are stealing Indian water rights under the guise of Indian water rights settlements, for coal fired power plants, and urban dwellers who waste water.

"Ouch," they say. They don't plan to have anything real here, anything from their own backyard, anything protected and concealed by the university.

The university uses the "buddy" system to map and discover where geothermal energy, and other mining resources are in Arizona and the rest of Indian country. Then, it shares the info with its corporate partners. It also uses Indigenous Peoples for profiteering from large grants.

The university is good at this PR spin, but it is a tap dance. If you talk with university whistleblowers and students, you will discover what the university really does with all the data extracted from Indigenous Peoples.

If the university wants to have a real human rights conference, why not begin by demanding that the university stop designing drones, remove Homeland Security and US Border Patrol agents from the campus, halt the money and information flowing back and forth between the university and Raytheon Missiles and others profiteering from the war machine.

Many of the traditional and ceremonial O'odham and Apache boycott the university. When it was necessary for them to attend the United Nations Rapporteur's session at the university in April, both Ofelia Rivas, O'odham, and Wendsler Nosie, San Carlos Apache, stated in their testimony that they boycott the university because of what it has done, and continues to do, to Indigenous Peoples.

Nosie was arrested by university police while praying on sacred Mount Graham. The university and the Pope took the lead in placing mammoth telescopes on sacred Mount Graham, despite years of protests and court battles to halt the construction.

Today the university is in the business of designing drones, which spy on Indigenous along the border, and are used by the US for targeted assassinations, including the assassination of a 16-year-old US citizen in Yemen.

If the university wants to have a real human rights conference, it could begin by examining the ATF's gunrunning operation to the drug cartels, Operation Wide Receiver, which was based in Tucson, after Project Gunrunner began during the Bush administration on the Texas border in 2005.

If the university wants to have a real human rights conference, it could expose the US military soldiers and US Border Patrol agents arrested in southern Arizona for running drugs. The university could examine the US Border Patrol agents who have beaten and stalked Tohono O'odham on the border, and those US Border Patrol agents who have raped migrants. A real human rights gathering would investigate those US Border Patrol agents who get away with murder, after killing migrants, and a Mexican teen in Mexico, for throwing rocks. It would also examine the white supremacy movement in southern Arizona, which law enforcement ignores.

When it comes to extractive industries, there is plenty to examine in the university's own backyard. There is uranium mining in the Grand Canyon in the homeland of the Havasupai and Hualapai, coal mining on the Navajo Nation, radioactive tailings left from mining during the Cold War, on the Navajo Nation and in the Pueblos. There is copper mining in southern Arizona. There is the toxic poisoning by Asarco on Tohono O'odham land.

There is also that inconvenient truth about the University of Arizona and its corporate partners creating that drone factory, Advanced Ceramics, over by the Tucson International Airport on San Xavier Tohono O'odham land.

The university doesn't need to pull together mappers to steal info, anthropologists to carry out their dirty deeds, or invite those willing to sell their information. Native Americans in Arizona, and the rest of Indian country, say they don't need for the university to welcome geologists to steal more of their land and mineral information, or for the wannabes and academics to come together to steal more of their intellectual and cultural property rights.

The university doesn't need to just invite speakers from a continent away, or academia to distract from the real issues, it could focus closer to home, just down the road, and in the building next door.

A real human rights conference would begin by protesting this university.

The university doesn't need Indian wannabes and frauds to distract from the issues. These departments need to post exactly who the corporate funders are of this conference, the amount received, and how it was spent. The UN Rapporteur's session in April was funded by the Ford Foundation.

UN Rapporteur for Indigenous Peoples James Anaya is a professor in one of the departments hosting this conference, Human Rights, Indigenous Peoples and Extractive Industries.

It should be a real human rights conference, it should be more than a tap dance.

And, as Indigenous Peoples will tell you, any real Indigenous gathering begins with the original occupants of the land offering a welcome and blessing.

Were the traditional and ceremonial O'odham invited to offer the welcome and blessing?

Chief Arlen Dumas
January 29th 2013

Chief, today is a great day for your people. You may not know it but you have made more impact than all the protests across Canada and any opposition comments made in the House of Commons yesterday. Now you are standing between the White Man and his money. HudBay Mining is a public company raising money based on international investor confidence in Canada's reputation as a safe place to invest. With your actions yesterday you have impacted the rate at which companies in Canada can raise money on the international market. You are going to be under a lot of pressure. The Winnipeg Free Press put your actions on the net and this will have big impact.
http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/breakingnews/Band-protesting-over-HudBay-Minerals-Lalor-mine--188695981.html
Your statement is absolutely brilliant.
In a prepared statement, Dumas said, "We totally reject HudBay’s Environmental Act License Application submitted for the Lalor mine without our consent. As the rightful owner, only we have the authority to approve a license to extract our resources from our territories."
There are over 60 metals and minerals mined in Canada and all are within a First Nation's traditional territory. If all First Nations in Canada issued the same statement as you and if they carried out the action you did, the Americans would be calling Harper immediately. The United States business community provides 72% of all foreign investment in Canada. Canada is an economic suburb of New York City. Toronto is going to be calling AFN National Chief Shawn Atleo  and Shawn will be calling you if this affects the rate the investors demand from investments in Canada.
HudBay does not only mine in Canada, it is a world wide mining company and is mining a lot in indigenous lands in South America. It has gotten in trouble in the past in several countries. What you did yesterday is important to all Canadian business that relies on investment confidence. Here is what the HudBay website has as it mission statement,
Hudbay is committed to producing strong investor returns and creating better futures for communities and employees by finding, building and operating successful mines.
When we blocked CN railway on January 16th near Portage La Prairie, they got an injunction and that court injunction gives us an opportunity to be heard in court as we fight the Title that CN claims to have in our Treaty territory. We don't expect to win in an immigrant court of law but we will leave on the court record our message to our children, our grandchildren and the future generations of our people. CN knows it, their title is the same category as the legal arguments made regarding Terra Nullius, the concept of "empty land", the same type of legal argument as Manifest Destiny and Papal Bull. The immigrants to our lands have been conditioned to believe that they provide all the money that First Nations live on. They are sadly mistaken and Manitobans especially have no clue that the northern First Nations territory sends billions of dollars a year south to subsidize the lifestyle of every one of those people who make hateful comments in the media about "lazy Indians living on the good graces of the Canadian taxpayer".
Terra nullius (pron.: /ˈtɛrə nʌˈlaɪ.əs/, plural terrae nullius) is a Latin expression deriving from Roman law meaning "land belonging to no one",[1] which is used in international law to describe territory which has never been subject to the sovereignty of any state, or over which any prior sovereign has expressly or implicitly relinquished sovereignty. Sovereignty over territory which is terra nullius may be acquired through occupation,[2] though in some cases doing so would violate an international law or treaty. Wikipedia
Canada is an exporting nation and Parliament better wake up to the fact that the indigenous people are getting international attention. Canada's image as a safe place to invest is taking a beating.  If your actions are carried out by all other First Nations in Canada, Business Canada is in serious trouble. Eighty-five percent of the natural resource base in Manitoba is in the north. The First Nations in the north send billions of dollars a year south but live in abject poverty. What you did yesterday sends a strong message to the ones that need to hear it, the rich people who invest in Canada, the one percent of Americans who make up the largest percentage of the foreign investment in Canada.
What you did yesterday takes Idle No More beyond round dancing, protests in the streets and now that the Theresa Spence issue is out of the media, this is what this movement needed. As I said in the 2007 National Day of Action, Standing between the White Man and his money. We know we can stand there because the White Man gets his money from our lands and our natural resource wealth. The immigrants have forgotten who lives on whose good graces. You just gave them a small slap on the face that may awake them to that fact.
I am attaching a letter I sent to Harper on the impact of Bill C45 on the Treaty. I am going after CN's title in court. If you need any position papers or treaty arguments that can help you in court, I will share my documents with you. I am also attaching Doug Bland's Ottawa Citizen article. Bland is over 70 years old and for years was the one who advised the Military leaders and RCMP. It is guys like Bland that understand that they need to tread softly when confronting First Nations, something the Judges and politicians may need to learn.
I met with Doug Bland and read his Book. He writes in his article
In the Canadian/First Nations context, Canada’s absolute economic dependence on natural resources (by some estimates equal to 30 per cent of the Canadian economy) and the inescapable vulnerability of the transportation infrastructure that moves these resources to the markets in Canada and the United States, gives the First Nations enormous new-found powers.
Chief, the $1.7 trillion GDP in Canada is dependent upon us. Immigrants make no payment for our resource wealth, the government has sucked the poor white people into believing that the First Nations are feeding off the taxpayer. They want to believe that but the government, industry and the Canadian Taxpayer Federation have known all along that they were lying to the people. This is why I am telling you, your actions have far greater consequences than we know today. They will come to you asking you to be "reasonable" I just love the Winnipeg Sun racist articles and editorials, it is making our people mad but it is actions like yours that make the difference. WE need our young people to document the racist comments made in the Canadian media, it will be a permanent marker on record. This is like Mississippi in the sixties, Canadians coming out with their racist attitudes. These beliefs and feelings were always there, now our people are waking up to the reality of what a lot of white Canada believes.

Good morning to all!

Our walkers are doing well and will be on the trail again today. It will still take them a few days to reach Chisasibi. They had to take the long way because the support team from Chisasibi has not yet reach them. Our walkers are located just east of Seal River, on the James Bay coast.
...
Chief Stanley George who went to bring them some supplies yesterday spent the night with them and will be back today. He will give us a first hand update on the Walkers later on today or this evening.

Thank you all for the tremendous support to the cause! Word is spreading worldwide about these seven Walkers and their mission, and its only been a just over a week since the launching of the Journey of Nishiiyuu.

WAR IS A RACKET!
MNN. Jan. 28, 2013. The cabal is meeting today in Ottawa. It is between the cooperative Corporate Indians and the economic royalists. Chief Crazy Horse said this just before he was assassinated: “How many times must the white man break his word? How short are your memories that you can again accept their promises? Why is today’s promises any different from those of yesterday?”

One of our great Warriors.
One of our great Warriors.Pressure is on to steal our resources needed for war. The bankers are directing their CEO of the Corporation of Canada, Stephen Harper, to ramp up the extraction of war materials that the Indigenous people are living on. We never gave up any of it. The economic royalists are planning to split the blood money. The sub-corporations of Canada, known as band and tribal councils, are there to give the illusion of legality and to get a few crumbs for doing it.
Mark “Carnage” Carney, former Governor of the Bank of Canada, is heading to England with our $3 trillion Indian Trust Fund in tow to give to the economic royalists [bankers].

One of many whistle blowers.Nothing is new under the sun. US Major General Smedley Butler, in his famous 1933 speech, clearly laid out that “War Is a Racket”.
Major Butler, one of the most decorated generals of World War I, outlined how WW11 was planned. One year later, Butler gave secret testimony to the McCormack-Dickstin Committee [later the House Committee on Un-American Activities]. He told of a plot headed by a group of wealthy American businessmen [American Liberty League] to set up a fascist dictatorship in the US, complete with concentration camps for Jews and other undesirables.[ Full article: http://www.counterpunch.org/2011/12/02/wall-streets-failed-1934-coup/ ]
Butler was approached by Gerald T. MacGuire of Wall Street’s Grayson M-P, Murphy and Co. An army of 500,000 would be assembled of unemployed WW1 veterans to march on Washington DC to bring down the government. The plutocrats wanted Butler to lead the coup, promising $3 million to start and $300 million later. Butler went along with the plot to learn their identities. None was ever called to testify or charged with treason. Almost all were founding members of the Council on Foreign Relations CFR. The League was headed up by DuPont and J.P. Morgan cartels. Supporters were Andrew Mellon, Sun Oil, Rockefeller, E.F Hutton, US Steel, General Motors, Chase, Standard Oil and Goodyear Tires. Money was funneled through Senator Prescott Bush through his Union Banking Corporation and Brown Brothers Harriman. To the plotters bragged about Bush’s connections with Hitler. Germany had promised Bush they would provide weapons for the coup.
Butler concluded war is the oldest, most profitable, most vicious racket. It is international in scope. Profits are reckoned in dollars and losses in lives. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the very many. In WWI a handful garnered all the profits. At least 21,000 new millionaires and billionaires were made in the US. They admitted their blood games in their income taxes. Others falsified their tax returns. None shouldered a rifle, dug a trench, went hungry in a rat infested dugout, suffered sleepless, frightened nights, ducked shells, shrapnel, and machine gun bullets. None parried a bayonet thrust of an enemy or were wounded or killed in battle.
The public paid for grave stones, mangled bodies, shattered minds, broken hearts and homes, economic instability, depression and all its attendant miseries, and back breaking taxation for generations.
Now I see international war clouds gathering. Sides are being chosen. France and Russia are standing together. Italy and Austria are side by side. Poland and Germany are working together, forgetting their dispute over the Polish corridor. The assassination of King Alexander of Yugoslavia complicated matters. Italy was ready to jump in. France and Czechoslavakia waited. They all looked forward to war. Not the people, who fight, pay and die. Those who foment wars stay home to profit. 40 million men are armed. Statesmen and diplomats lie that war is not in the making. Hells, bells! These men are not being trained to be dancers!
In italy, Premier Benito Mousselini said in “international Conciliation”, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace publication: “And above all, Fascism, the more it considers and observes the future and development of humanity, … believed neither in the possibility, nor the utility of perpetual peace… war alone brings up to its highest tension all human energy and puts the stamp of nobility upon the people who have the courage to meet it.”
His well-trained army, fleet of planes and navy are ready for war. His stand at Hungary’s in its dispute with Yugoslavia showed that. Also troops were quickly mobilized on the Austrian border after the assassination of Dollfuss. Other Europeans rattled their sabers for war.
Herr Hitler rearmed Germany and constantly demanded more arms. France recently increased military service from a year to 18 months. Nations are camping in their arms. The mad dogs of Europe are on the loose.
In the Orient, in 1904 when Russia and Japan fought, we kicked out our old friends, the Russians, and backed Japan. Our generous international bankers were financing Japan. Now we are being poisoned against Japan!
What does the “open door” policy to China mean to us? Our trade with China is about $90 million a year. We have spent $600 million in the Philippines in 35 years. “Our bankers, industrialists and speculators” have private investments there of less than $200 million. To save the China trade and protect these private investments, we are being stirred up to hate Japan and go to war – a war that might well cost us tens of billions of dollars, hundreds of thousands of lives of Americans and many more hundreds of thousands of physically maimed and mentally unbalanced men. Millions and billions of dollars would be piled up by a few munitions makers, bankers, ship builders, manufacturers, meat packers, speculators.
Yes, war pays high dividends. But what does it profit the men who are killed, their mothers and sisters, their wives and sweethearts, their children? Except for the very few to whom war means huge profits.
Until 1898 we didn’t own a bit of territory outside the mainland of North America. Our national debt was a little more than $1 million. Then we became “internationally minded”. We forgot George Washington’s warning about “entangling alliances”. We went to war. We acquired outside territory. Our national debt jumped to over $25 million. We ran a little behind year after year. It would have been cheaper to stay out of foreign entanglements.
The lesson is don’t forget the failed 1934 coup attempt by the economic royalists on Wall Street, owned and run from the City of London. None were jailed. They have the same agenda today. We Indigenous can stop war by occupying the means of production to deny them the goods they need.
Religion & war - historic partners!!Kay Kyser sang in her song, “Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition”: “Yes, the sky pilot said it, you gotta give him credit. For a son-of-a-gun of a gunner was he, shoutin’ praise the Lord, we’re on a mighty mission. All aboard, we ain’t a goin’ fishin’. Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition, and we’ll all stay free”. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJfJPxLntZU praise the lord

Zapatistas Marcos Part 5 'Them and Us'

Them and Us Part 5: The Sixth by Subcomandante Marcos

THEM AND US

V.- THE SIXTH

ZAPATISTA NATIONAL LIBERATION ARMY.

MEXICO.
January 2013.
Espanol

To: The compañeros adherents to the Sixth Declaration of the Lacandon Jungle all over the world.

From: The Zapatistas from Chiapas, Mexico.

Compañeras, compañeros, and compañeroas:

Compas in the Network Against Repression and for Solidarity:

Everyone, greetings from the women, men, children, and elders of the Zapatista National Liberation Army, the smallest of your compañeros.

We've decided that our first word specially directed at our compañeros [who are adherents to] the Sixth should be made known in a space of struggle, such as the Network Against Repression and for Solidarity. But the words, feelings, and thoughts that are sketched here are also meant for those who are not here. And, above all, they're for them.

We would like to thank the support that you have given to our communities, to our Zapatista support bases and to the prisoners who are adherent compass in Chiapas, throughout all this time.

Your words of encouragement and your collective hand that connected with ours are guarded in our heart.

We are sure that one of the points to be discussed in your meeting will be, or has already been, setting up a campaign to support the compa Kuy, to denounce the attack that he was subjected to, and to demand justice for him and for all of the others who were injured on that day, to demand unconditional freedom for all of the detained in Mexico City and Guadalajara during the protests against the imposition of Enrique Peña Nieto as head of the federal executive branch.

Not just that, but it is also important that this campaign contemplate fundraising to support compa Kuy with his hospital bills, and for the costs of his subsequent recuperation, which the Zapatistas hope will be soon.

To support this fundraising campaign, we've sent a small amount of cash. We ask you, even though it might be small, to add the money you're able to get together for our compañero in the struggle. As soon as we can put together more money, we will send it to whomever you [the Network Against Repression] designate for this work.

The Sixth is a Zapatista convocation. To convoke is not to unite. We aren't trying to unite under a leadership, neither Zapatista nor any other affiliation. We do not seek to co-opt, recruit, take anyone's place, feign, fake, cheat, direct, subordinate, use. The destination is the same, but the different, the heterogeneity, the autonomy of the ways of walking, are the Sixth's richness, they're it's strength. We offer and will offer respect, and we demand and will demand respect. One adheres to the Sixth without any other requisite other than the "no" that convokes us and the commitment to construct the necessary "yeses."

To end this missive (which, as is evident, has the disadvantage of not having a video or song that accompanies it and completes the written version), we want to send our best hugs (and we only have one) to the men, women, children, and elderly, groups organizations, movements, who however each one of you calls yourselves, who have never during all this time distanced us from your hearts, and resisted and supported as compañeras, compañeras, and compañeroas that we are.

Compas:

We are the Sixth.

It's going to be very difficult.

Our pains won't be lessened by opening ourselves up to those that hurt all over the world. The path will be the most torturous.

We will fight.

We will resist.

We will struggle.
Maybe we'll die.

But one, ten, one hundred times, we'll always win always.

For the Indigenous Revolutionary Clandestine Committee-General Command of the
Zapatista National Liberation Army

The Sixth-EZLN.

International Treaty to Protect the Sacred from Tar Sands Projects

Faith Spotted Eagle signing the Treaty.

Ranchers and farmers pledged their mutual defense and support.

  1. INTERNATIONAL TREATY TO PROTECT THE SACRED FROM TAR SANDS PROJECTS
The representatives from sovereign Indigenous Nations, tribes, and governments, participating in the Gathering to Protect the Sacred on January 23 – 25, 2013, on the 150 year anniversary of the Treaty Between the Pawnee and Yankton Sioux, have gathered on the Ihanktonwan homelands, and have resolved by our free, prior, and informed consent to enter into a treaty to be forever respected and protected. We agreed upon the following articles:
    • ARTICLE I
The undersigned Indigenous Peoples have inhabited and governed our respective territories according to our laws and traditions since time immemorial.
    • ARTICLE II
As sovereign nations, we have entered into bi-lateral and multi-lateral agreements with other nations including the Treaty Between the Pawnee and Yankton Sioux, Mother Earth Accord, the Spiritual Leaders Declaration, the Agreement to Unite to use 16 Guiding Principles, and the Black Hills Sioux Nation Treaty Council Declaration, and all the inter-tribal treaties in the Western hemisphere, among others, which promise peace, friendship, and mutual opposition to tar sands projects and energy development that threaten the lands, the waters, the air, our sacred sites, and our ways of life, and acknowledge other Indigenous Peoples such as the Yinka Dene, the ‘people of the Earth’ who have exercised their lawful authority to ban tar sands projects from their territories through Indigenous legal instruments such as the Save the Fraser Declaration and the Coastal First Nations Declaration.
    • ARTICLE III
We act with inherent, lawful, and sovereign authority over our lands, waters, and air, as recognized by Article 32 of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples which provides:
States shall consult and cooperate in good faith with the indigenous peoples concerned through their own representative institutions in order to obtain their free and informed consent prior to the approval of any project affecting their lands or territories and other resources, particularly in connection with the development, utilization or exploitation of mineral, water or other resources.
    • ARTICLE IV
We mutually agree that tar sands projects present unacceptable risks to the soil, the waters, the air, sacred sites, and our ways of life including:
    - The destruction of the homelands of the Cree, Dene, and Métis peoples in the tar sands region;
    - The threat of pipeline and tanker oil spills into major river systems, aquifers and water bodies such as the Salish Sea, the North Pacific coast, and the Ogallala Aquifer.
    - The negative cumulative health impacts of tar sands projects on Indigenous Communities.
    - The irreparable harm to irreplaceable cultural resources, burial grounds, sacred and historic places, natural resources, and environmental resources of the central plains region which is the aboriginal homelands of many Indigenous Indian Nations.
    - Greenhouse gas pollution that could lock the planet onto a path of catastrophic climate change.
    • ARTICLE V
We affirm that our laws define our solemn duty and responsibility to our ancestors, to ourselves, and to future generations, to protect the lands and waters of our homelands and we agree to mutually and collectively oppose tar sands projects which would impact our territories, including but not limited to the Keystone XL pipeline, the Enbridge Northern Gateway, or the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain pipeline and tanker projects.
    ARTICLE VI
We agree to mutually and collectively, as sovereign nations, call upon the Canadian and United States governments to respect our decision to reject tar sands projects that impact our sacred sites and homelands; to call upon the Canadian and United States governments to immediately halt and deny approval for pending tar sands projects because they threaten the soil, water, air, sacred sites, and our ways of life; and, confirm that any such approval would violate our ancestral laws, rights and responsibilities.
    ARTICLE VII
We agree to the mutual, collective, and lawful enforcement of our responsibilities to protect our lands, waters, and air by all means necessary, and if called on to do so, we will exercise our peace and friendship by lawfully defending one another’s lands, waters, air, and sacred sites from the threat of tar sands projects, provided that each signatory Indigenous Nation reserves and does not cede their rights to act independently as the tribal governments see fit to protect their respective tribal interests, further provided that each signatory Indigenous Nation reserves its inherent sovereign right to take whatever governmental action and strategy that its governing body sees fit to best protect and advance tribal interests affected by the pipeline project consistent with the agreements made herein and subject to the laws and available resources of each respective nation.
    • This Treaty of mutual defense and support is made on the occasion of the 150 year anniversary of the Treaty Between the Pawnee and Yankton Sioux concluded between the Pawnee Nation and the Ihanktonwan Oyate/Yankton Sioux Tribe on January 23rd, 1863, and the parties thereto hereby commemorate the signing of that historic treaty that has endured without violation for 150 years .
This Treaty goes into effect once ratified by the governing bodies of the signatory nations.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the undersigned authorized representatives, after having deposited their full powers found to be in due and proper form, sign this treaty on behalf of their respective governments, on the date appearing opposite their signatures.

Mohawk Nation News 'Enemy Undone'

mnnlogo1MNN: ENEMY UNDONE

MNN: ENEMY UNDONE!
Cul du sac!MNN. JAN. 26, 2013. We are subduing the enemy without physically fighting them. Now he is ours. The bridge is there, but they will not be able to escape. Their only retreat is to jail or death.
Bankers’ cul du sac!

Row, row, corporate Indians! Our enemy is irritated because of their own arrogance, which is their greatest weakness. The paradigm is shifting. Their “slaves” want to be free. The path of their subjects leads to the Great White Roots of Peace. They are already coming to us to open their own minds. Once their minds awake to the truth, no one can put them back to sleep. The peace will return to us and our Mother as our ancient teachings direct. This will be the end of the oligarchs here on Great Turtle Island.
The pyramid will be taken apart from the inside. The bottom shall disassemble the top. The rest of the hierarchical system will collapse. It is against the laws of nature.
Row, faster, corporate Indians!
Canada Prime Minister Harper’s main role is to ramp up resource extraction for their planet trashing plans. His corporate Indians [AFN, band councils] are all following the same business plan. The only time line that puppet Shawn Atleo is going to make is to get on the same boat as a galley slave with his masters and sail off to prison for the traitor that he is.
Atleo wants to rejuvenate education [brainwashing] for the Indians, not himself. He knows the truth about the real brutal history of his corporate masters. His knowledge of the genocide and stolen trust fund will land him in a Nuremberg cell with his best friend, Herr Harper. He will say, “I was just following orders!” But the orders did not come from the women of his nation. This is high treason against his own people. All the other band councilors and the SS Indian Affairs system will be on the same big boat to Europe. Since we won’t have prisons here, they will have to go home. They’ll be witnessing from afar the rebirth of our Mother Land, Great Turtle Island, from their jail cells in the Fatherland [Europe].
Iceland is now the only free country on earth because the bankers are all in jail and they’re printing their own money. The banks collapsed because all the deficits owed to them were proven to be frauds. Private companies like airlines or other businesses fail when they are mismanaged or proven to be fraudulent. So they did. Banks are high stakes companies, like casinos. They thought the house always wins. Ordinary people should not have to pump up the banks through their taxes. The financial sector was huge and gobbling up all the professionals. It is now the smallest, as it should be. When financial sectors failed, other businesses blossom.
Bankers & accomplices: You can't hide. Atleo wants to cooperate with economic growth, more trade with western countries to build weapons that continue the never ending war on terror throughout the planet. This goes against the supreme law of Great Turtle Island. He must go.
Bankers & accomplices: You can’t hide.

As Jimmie Rodgers wrote: “Well, I Had a friend named Rambling Bob, who used to steal, gamble and rob. He thought he was the smartest guy in town, but I found out last Monday that Bob got locked up Sunday. They got him in the jailhouse way downtown”. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZI54Y8qf70 Original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSq8mnDH_1o
