The Blackfeet Nation in Montana is preparing to feed the people during the government shutdown by distributing buffalo meat and organizing an elk hunt. In Rapid City, South Dakota, Lakota are organizing mutual aid. In North Dakota, the Turtle Mountain Chippewa Nation is keeping all its food programs going, with hot meals and bagged lunches, and making sure children, elderly and college students don't go hungry.

On the west coast, an Indigenous restaurant owned by Crystal Wahpepah, Kickapoo, is serving up free bison tacos for young ones and elders in Oakland, California.

Mohawk Nation News 'Land Caregivers VS. Corporate Demolishers'

LAND CAREGIVERS VS. CORPORATE DEMOLISHERS

MNN. LAND GIVERS VS. CORPORATE DEMOLISHERS. The Royal Proclamation of 1763 is a British order-in-council issued by King George III to establish the basis for relations with indigenous peoples on onowarekeh turtle island. All lands were to be retained by the indigenous and the settlers were to be restricted. The king of England bankrolled the colonial encroachment backed with military force. It was to be the framework for relations between the king’s colonial settlers and the indigenous peoples. This agreement is the foundation of  Canada’s responsibilities for all of the Canadian and US colonial settlers. This is the framework for true reconciliation. Canada is still a colony of Britain and its relationship with the indigenous is based on the Royal Proclamation 1763.

MNN. ONONKWA [MEDICINE] MONTREAL. Oct. 23, 2025.

Our kaianerekowa great peace provides that you don’t fight until you die. You fight until you win. This is the conversation we have been having about drug abuse and suicide rising up in indigenous and mainstream communities. In our case tobacco and now  vape and cannabis dispensaries are being set up in our communities because the colony of Canada has made a law, the Indian Act, and now to sell drugs. Colonial law which forbids the development of self-sustaining indigenous economies on our unceded land to care for ourselves. The people and the land are being polluted. The tobacco trade made a few rich. Now other drugs are coming into our ccommunities. It is disrupting our children, babies, people, causing break-ins, crime, violence, suicides, children being removed, and no jobs. We are surprised how big the addictions are throughout our land.

Indigenous women in Peru said the army was shooting women and children from helicopters when they defended their land from mining. After the horrifying testimony, the U.N. in Geneva took no action.

Standing Rock: The Enduring Power of the Human Spirit, and Grassroots Radio

Standing Rock: The Enduring Power of the Human Spirit and Grassroots Radio

Today we honor grassroots radio as a marker in history, and the Native youths and brave women, the Water Protectors of Standing Rock

By Brenda Norrell, Censored News, Oct. 16, 2025

The day was August 22, 2016, and the place was Standing Rock. Govinda arrived from the west, and Michelle Cook arrived from Arizona. Govinda, in a borrowed van, and Michelle, with a ragged tent, together produced the first sounds of Standing Rock Spirit Resistance Radio.

Amazingly, the first broadcasts are still preserved, and we share three women's interviews, and the Tlingit Water Song, live from those first broadcasts. From the barrio house, with surveillance circling, I saved those live broadcasts, and shared those with radio stations around the world. They played on radio stations coast to coast, and in other countries.

Today, we honor the beginning, the enduring power of the human spirit and the enduring power of grassroots radio, with the voices of Native youths and women.

'Sing a Song for the Earth' Havasupai Share Healing Words, as Ute March Against Uranium Mill

By Brenda Norrell, Censored News, Oct. 9, 2025

WHITE MESA UTE, Utah -- This sickness travels by truck from the Grand Canyon uranium mine to here, and when the winds blow, this sickness blows east to Colorado. When the rains come, it spills into the San Juan River and flows down the Colorado River.

It is the uranium mill in the White Mesa Ute community.

It is a slow sickness and it means death.

"Sing a Song to the Earth," says Dianna Uqualla, Havasupai medicine woman, during  the White Mesa Ute Community Spiritual Walk and Protest on Saturday.

"Our elders always said, 'Sing a song to the Earth.'

"Everything upon this earth is living. So we always have to remember that. So anywhere and everywhere we go, you know, our elders always said, "Sing a song to the earth."

Mskwassin Agnew, Cree Dene, Arrives in Canada from Israeli Torture Prison

Mskwassin Agnew, Cree Dene, Arrives in Canada from Israeli Torture Prison

By Brenda Norrell, Censored News, Oct. 11, 2025

Mskwaasin Agnew, Cree Dene of Salt River First Nation, arrives in Canada, greeted by the sound of the drum, a bouquet of flowers, hugs, and the gift of a blanket, from a large crowd of family, friends and loved ones.

Upon arrival, Mskwaasin was presented with an eagle feather for her bravery and courage, an eagle feather that traveled on the sacred staff for ten years with those speaking for murdered and missing Indigenous women.

"Palestinian people would die for their land. Our people would die for the land. We belong to the land. It's unmistakable, we would do anything for the land to stay on our land. No matter what," Mskwaasin said after being released from an Israeli torture prison, the Ktzi'ot prison in the Negev desert.

"There is still a genocide happening in Palestine, and my comrades are still in prison. We need to tell Canada to sanction Israel," said Mskwaasin, 33, a harms reduction worker, after arriving at the Toronto Pearson International Airport on Saturday.

Apache Stronghold -- Supreme Court Again Declines to Protect Sacred Oak Flat

Apache Stronghold --
Supreme Court Again Declines to Protect Sacred Oak Flat

By Apache Stronghold, Censored News, Oct. 6, 2025

Supreme Court update

This morning, we received word the Supreme Court has decided not to reconsider our case. While this decision is deeply disappointing, the fight to protect Oak Flat is far from over.

We will continue pressing our case in the lower courts. In addition to our case, three other cases are also seeking to protect Oak Flat, and the Ninth Circuit will hear oral argument in those cases on January 7, 2026. We’ll also keep urging Congress, the President, and federal agencies to stop the destruction of Oak Flat and protect our ancestral sacred land.

Oak Flat deserves the same respect and protection this country has long given to other places of worship.

Wendsler Nosie Sr. responding to the Supreme Court result, “First, thank you everyone for all the hard work. You have been a blessing to us all in our country. Most importantly deep within us we knew, but now we definitely witness the truth of this country, by the Supreme Court taking no action. What is evil created the unfairness, not just to us human beings but to all of God’s creations. When this country was founded, humans with the heart of greed worked to mute the voice of the Creator. By this undertaking, we now live with a third entity, who was created to take and destroy every blessed gift God gave us through our Mother Earth. We know this evil as Corporations, which comes from capitalism which colonizes people. We must defend what is spiritual, holy and God’s greatest gift to us all, our Mother. Today is a new day for me as I now take the blessings from Usen (God), to walk the footsteps of the purpose I was blessed with and no longer be a captive.”

America has shown us the government’s true intentions, we are unheard and ignored once again. Our judicial system’s voice is muted by capitalism, the ultimate destruction of Mother Earth has been given permission as if they control her, she supplies our lives not the reverse. Such a sad reality.

We call on all people to pray, to raise their voices, and to join us in defending Mother Earth. Thank you for standing with us.

Greta Arrives in Greece, Decries the Genocide in Palestine, after Being Abused in Israeli Prison

Greta Thunberg gives her first words after she was released from Israeli prison where she was beat and forced to kiss the Israeli flag. Greta said the story is not about them, the story is about Gaza.

"I could talk a very, very long time about our mistreatment and abuse in our imprisonment, trust me, but that is not the story."

"I will never comprehend how humans can be so evil. That you would deliberately starve millions of people living trapped under an illegal siege as a continuation of decades and decades of suffering suffocation, oppression and apartheid," Greta said, after 161 flotilla members arrived in Athens today.

U.S. Citizens Released from Israeli Prison Today Describe Brutal Abuse

U.S. citizens released from the brutal Israeli prison and bussed to Jordan for departure.

"I was in a cage with 57 other women, and someone really, really needed a medic -- we were there for hours, and we said, 'medic, medic, medic,' and a guard came and said, 'If you keep asking for a medic we are going to gas you."

Carsie Blanton, released from an Israeli prison, arrived in New York on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

"I'm a Jewish American, and in Israeli detention, I was really treated like scum, in the way you read about in the holocaust."

"We have to try and understand it, to end the occupation and the genocide."
The way they were dehumanized, she said she can not imagine what it is like to be a Palestinian in detention.

Carsie was among 24 U.S. citizens imprisoned for nearly a week in Israel's torture prison, Ktzi'ot, in the Negev desert. They were illegally kidnapped on international waters aboard the Sumud Global Flotilla while bringing humanitarian aid to Gaza.

MOST MAGNIFICENT MOTHER

MNN. MOST MAGNIFICENT MOTHER. Oct. 4. 2025.

https://mohawknationnews.com/blog/2025/10/04/most-magnificent-mother/

There are boardrooms in the high towers of Manhattan with men sitting around tables scheming on overpowering the ordinary people of the world. They think they are in total control of humanity. They say, “We own and run the world. We will determine what is going to happen to the natural world, the trees, mountains, minerals, resources, oil, gas, water, everything!” They will pocket trillions of dollars. This is culminating in the takeover of the human race and the earth by a small cabal of would-be world rulers.

In the far North of onowarekeh [Canada] lying under the ground is gold, diamonds, silver, precious medals, etc. The oligrarch of the US and Canada are from the same European bloodlines. They dig this up without indigenous and creation’s permission. They are filthy rich and a little goes to the real workers. Their followers are ruled by them with eyes that cannot see beyond the dollars. The people of the world are becoming poorer because they are gaining control through using an artificial system/corporatism to create an artificial reality.
