U.S. citizens released from the brutal Israeli prison and bussed to Jordan for departure.

"I was in a cage with 57 other women, and someone really, really needed a medic -- we were there for hours, and we said, 'medic, medic, medic,' and a guard came and said, 'If you keep asking for a medic we are going to gas you."

Carsie Blanton, released from an Israeli prison, arrived in New York on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

"I'm a Jewish American, and in Israeli detention, I was really treated like scum, in the way you read about in the holocaust."

"We have to try and understand it, to end the occupation and the genocide."
The way they were dehumanized, she said she can not imagine what it is like to be a Palestinian in detention.

Carsie was among 24 U.S. citizens imprisoned for nearly a week in Israel's torture prison, Ktzi'ot, in the Negev desert. They were illegally kidnapped on international waters aboard the Sumud Global Flotilla while bringing humanitarian aid to Gaza.

U.S. citizens on the Global Sumud Flotilla described being beaten and abused in prison, upon arrival in Jordan today. Jordan arranged the bus transport that took them to the airport in Jordan after five days of abuse in Israel's torture prison. U.S. citizens said they were abandoned and left to rot by their government.

Speaking now from the airport in Jordan, Tommy Marcus said the flotilla was violently and illegally raided by Israeli Naval forces, while carrying aid to the starving people of Gaza. Their boats and belongings were all stolen.

"We were zip-tied, brutalized and blindfolded on route to an Israeli internment camp in the Negev desert."

WASHINGTON – A coalition of Western Apaches, other Native peoples, and non-Native allies asked the Supreme Court today to protect their sacred site at Oak Flat from destruction by a multinational mining giant. In Apache Stronghold v. United States, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals refused to stop the federal government from transferring Oak Flat to Resolution Copper, a foreign-owned mining company that plans to turn the site into a massive mining crater, ending Apache religious practices forever (Watch this short video to learn more). The Apaches and their allies hosted a day of prayer outside the Court as they asked the Justices to save the spiritual lifeblood of their people.

Speaking now at the rally outside the Supreme Court, Gary McKinney, Shoshone Paiute, said, "Within your communities, activate your communities, your peers, your relatives, bring them to the circle, normalize this," McKinney said, urging action by local governments. "Put them to work, please."

"Take these necessary steps to ensure that our Seven Generations have a chance at clean air and clean water, and to learn our culture and traditions and to keep those alive and well." Environmental and community leaders were arrested in a protest on Capitol Hill, calling on the Senate to reject Senator Manchin’s proposal to undermine environmental and community review and fast-track oil, gas, and coal projects. The protest came one day after Manchin formally released his proposal, which had been first announced in July. After the bill was released, it was widely criticized by civil rights and environmental justice advocates, and members of Congress.

Standing Rock and Cheyenne River youths arrived in Washington, DC, to demand that Dakota Access Pipeline and Enbridge Line 3 be shut down, after joining Meskwaki relatives in Iowa to make a stand for the water.

On Sunday, Lakota and Dakota youths walked with Meskwaki relatives in Iowa to support the shutdown of the Dakota Access and Enbridge Line 3 Pipelines threatening safe drinking water for the masses in the heart of the continent.

Standing Rock Chairman David Archambault said, "Today's denial of a temporary restraining order against Dakota Access Pipeline west of Lake Oahe puts my people's sacred places at further risk of ruin and desecration.We are disappointed that the U.S. District Court's decision does not prevent DAPL from destroying our sacred sites as we await a ruling on our original motion to stop construction of the pipeline."

CANNON BALL, North Dakota -- Standing Rock Chairman Dave Archambault said he is disappointed that a federal judge in Washington failed to protect burial places today.
"We're disappointed at the decision," Chairman Archambault said after a federal judge failed to grant a temporary restraining order where burial places and sacred places have been identified.
"We know there are sacred sites."
Chairman Archambault said the federal judge's ruling puts the burial places and sacred places at risk of more destruction by Dakota Access Pipeline.
The court documents reveal that the area bulldozed, and now vulnerable to more destruction, was one of the most significant discoveries in North Dakota in years.
The site holds an "extraordinary concentration of graves, including burials of important chiefs" directly in and adjacent to the pipeline's route.
Red Warrior Camp said, "There was absolutely no victory in the courtroom today. The judge stopped construction on the east side of the Missouri River for 20 miles. "Well, we have never even had any actions on the east side of the Missouri, and all that east of the Missouri construction is mostly done."
"The judge allowed DAPL to continue construction where we are at, destroying sacred sites west of 1806 as of today. That is why water protectors went there to shut down construction. We honor them. It's very simple."
"There are people who want to witness history, not really caring if the pipeline is built. Then there is this whole other movement of people who traveled thousands of miles to actually make history, by stopping this pipeline by any non-violent means necessary."
"Why did we come here? The water called us together. Now, the damage they've done to the sacred sites cannot be undone."
"Stay unarmed and non-violent, but let's stay together and stop this pipeline!" Red Warrior Camp said.
AP reports, "U.S. District Judge James Boasberg said Tuesday that work will temporarily stop between State Highway 1806 and 20 miles east of Lake Oahe, but that work will continue west of the highway because he believes the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lacks jurisdiction on private land."
On Saturday, Dakota Access Pipeline bulldozers tore into the earth of a major sacred site where cultural items and burials are located on the west side of Lake Oahe, which Judge Boasberg refused to protect today.
Judge Boasberg, it turns out, is also a judge on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.
Native Americans protecting the burial place were attacked by Dakota Access Pipeline security and attack dogs on Saturday. Six people, defending burial places were bitten by vicious dogs, dozens were pepper sprayed, and some were assaulted by DAPL private security and construction workers.
Afterwards, the Morton Co. Sheriff's Office released a statement of false accusations, accusing the protectors of violence. In doing so, the Sheriff's office exposed the corruption in law enforcement in North Dakota, which is protecting the energy industry, and facilitating the destruction of Mother Earth, in violation of the ethics of their offices.
Chairman Archambault said today that the pipeline company provoked the water protectors on Saturday.
Mainstream media, who have refused to be present to cover the news, published and broadcast the lies of the Morton Co. Sheriff's office on Saturday.
Once again, the victims were victimized first by law enforcement and, then by the media which refuses to be present and ascertain the facts.

In what organizers called a “historic” gathering, activists from the United States, Canada, and Indigenous territories from throughout North America met with indigenous peoples from Ecuador to participate in a protest against the Chevron oil company in Washington D.C. Tuesday. Over 100 indigenous peoples from Haudenosaunee communities made the 12-hour journey from their territories in North America to show their support for victims of Chevron's contamination in the Ecuadorean Amazon, who gathered in the U.S. capital in front of the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID). Chevron has requested that the ICSID hold a hearing in order to compel the Ecuadorean state to pay the US$9 billion that Ecuadorean courts established should be paid to the victim's of the oil company's contamination. 
“History was made. The Inca prophecies say that when the Eagle of the North and the Condor of the South fly together, the earth will awaken. The Eagles of the North cannot be free without the Condors of the South,” said Santiago Escobar, an organizer with the Committee in Solidarity with the Affected Communities by Chevron in Canada. 
The prophecy of the Eagle and the Condor is a shared prophecy that foretells the coming together of indigenous peoples from the North and South of the American continent, ushering in a new era of peace and justice. See related: 10 Key Points on Ecuador’s Battle with Chevron ​Chevron has worked to evade justice and avoid paying the compensation ordered by the Ecuadorean courts, a ruling that was also confirmed by the South American country’s Supreme Court. Nobel Peace Prize winner Rigoberta Menchu spoke to the assembled crowd, as did Ecuadorean National Assembly Representative Ximena Peña. 
The Unity flag, which is used by indigenous peoples from North America, the Hiawatha flag, commonly known as the flag of the Haudenosaunee, flew alongside the flag of Ecuador as the crowd later marched toward the White House. A member of the Haudenosaunee delegation also held up a Two Row Wampum, a beaded belt representing peace, respect, and friendship between indigenous peoples and settlers, at a protest in front of the headquarters of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. 
A group of Haudenosaunee Rotinonhsonni, often referred to as the Warrior's Society in English, also accompanied the delegation. Oil Giant Texaco — which merged with Chevron in 2001 — is said to have caused what has been called one of the world’s greatest environmental disasters as a result of its oil exploration in the Ecuadorean Amazon between the years 1964 and 1990.
