Allegations of unmarked graves of Indigenous children left by MK-Ultra psychiatric experiments on the site of the Allan Memorial Institute of McGill University lead the kanien'kehá:ka kahnistensera (mohawk mothers), sovereign caretakers of the unceded territory of Montreal, to block the project of re-purposing the Royal Victoria Hospital, and to reclaim a forensic and archaeological investigation on the site.
Tionni’tio’tià:kon (Montreal), Quebec, October 18, 2021. The kanien'kehá:ka kahnistensera (mohawk mothers), caretakers of the quenondah (two mountains/mount royal) by virtue of their connection with mother earth, demand the immediate suspension of all reconstruction plans for the Royal Victoria Hospital and Allan Memorial Institute sites on the campus of McGill University, for the following reasons: 1) The site is unceded kanien'kehá:ka territory. Only the kahnistensera can give permission to do anything on this land; 2) The site contains archaeological remains from the original precolonial Iroquoian village; 3) The grounds of the Allan Memorial Institute must be investigated for potential unmarked graves and proof of atrocities committed during the MK-Ultra program, between 1954 and 1963.
The kahnistensera have requested meetings with McGill University’s president Suzanne Fortin, as well as with the Office de consultation publique de Montréal, with which they will have a hearing on November 10, 2021. The brief (attached to this email) submitted to the consultation office will be presented by members of the rotisken’raketeh (men’s fire) of kahnawake, ohsweken (Six Nations of the Grand River), kanehsatake and akwesasne, following traditional protocol. The kanien'kehá:ka kahnistensera are reaffirming the Notice of Seizure sent to McGill University in 2015, whose campus squats on their precolonial iroquoian village and was built using unrepaid borrowed Iroquois Trust Funds, whose value amounts to more than $5 billion.
Allegations of unmarked graves near the Henry Morgan Pool behind the Allan Memorial Institute have recently resurfaced with the testimony of Lana Ponting, one of the only remaining survivors of Dr. Ewen Cameron’s unethical psychiatric experiments, funded by the CIA and the Canadian government within between 1954 and 1963. Concerned that these graves may contain the remains of indigenous children, as suggested by Ponting and family members of other survivors, the kanien'kehá:ka kahnistensera demand the immediate termination of the Royal Victoria Hospital repurposing project. McGill University is considered a crime scene to be shut down for an indigenous-led archaeological and forensic investigation to determine the presence of bodies under the ground of its psychiatry building.

Des allégations de tombes d'enfants autochtones laissées par les expériences psychiatriques MK-Ultra sur le site de l'Institut Allan Memorial à McGill entraînent un groupe de mères mohawks, détentrices souveraines du territoire non-cédé de Montréal, à bloquer le projet de réaffectation de l'Hôpital Royal Victoria et à réclamer une enquête médico-légale et archéologique des lieux.
Tionni'tio'tià:kon (Montréal), Québec, 18 octobre 2021. Les kanien'kehá:ka kahnistensera (femmes mohawk), gardiennes de thequenondah (deux montagnes/mont royal) en vertu de leur connexion avec la Mère Terre, demandent la suspension immédiate de tous les plans de reconstruction du site de l'Hôpital Royal Victoria et de l'Institut Allan Memorial à l'Université McGill, pour les raisons suivantes : 1) Le site étant un territoire kanien'kehá:ka non cédé, la permission des kahnistensera est nécessaire pour y entreprendre des travaux ; 2) Le site contient des vestiges archéologiques du village iroquois précolonial ; 3) Les terrains de l'Institut Allan Memorial doivent faire l'objet d'une enquête afin d'y trouver des tombes anonymes et des preuves d'atrocités commises pendant le programme MK-Ultra, entre 1954 et 1963.
Les kanien'kehá:ka kahnistensera ont demandé à rencontrer la chancelière de l'Université McGill, Suzanne Fortin, ainsi que l'Office de consultation publique de Montréal, avec qui elles auront une audience le 10 novembre 2021. Selon le protocole traditionnel, leur mémoire (joint à ce courriel et soumis à l’Office) sera présenté par des membres des Rotisken'raketeh (société de guerriers) de Kahnawake, d’Ohsweken (Six Nations) et d'Akwesasne. Les kanien'kehá:ka kahnistensera réaffirment l'avis de saisie qu'elles avaient envoyées à l'Université McGill en 2015, dont le campus situé sur le village iroquois précolonial d'origine a été construit grâce à des fonds iroquois jamais été remboursés et dont la valeur s'élève aujourd'hui à plus de $5 milliards.
Les allégations de tombes anonymes près de la piscine Henry Morgan derrière l'Allan Memorial Institute ont refait surface avec le témoignage de Lana Ponting, l'une des seules survivantes des expériences psychiatriques non éthiques du Dr Ewen Cameron, financées par la CIA et le gouvernement canadien entre 1954 et 1963. Craignant que ces tombes ne contiennent les restes d'enfants autochtones, comme l'ont suggéré Lana Ponting et les membres des familles d'autres survivants, les kanien'kehá:ka kahnistensera exigent l'arrêt immédiat du projet de réaffectation de l'hôpital Royal Victoria, et que l'université McGill soit considérée comme une scène de crime et fermée jusqu'à ce qu'une enquête archéologique et médico-légale menée par les autochtones détermine la présence de corps sous le sol de son bâtiment de psychiatrie.
