Jane Sanders, wife of US Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders, at Oak Flat today. Sanders was welcomed by San Carlos Apache Councilman Wendsler Nosie.
Delores Rambler Cassadore, the first San Carlos Apache to receive a master's in education, was at the ceremonial grounds of Oak Flat to meet Sanders. Cassadore retired after teaching Apache children for nearly 30 years.
