Truth-tellers on border lands make Censored News possible

Human rights abusers and profiteers on the Arizona border: The U.S. Border Patrol, Elbit Systems based in Israel, militarized security.

The people who live on the land at the border are the ones who expose the truth.

Many years ago, one of my friends on the border spotted an Israeli ATV on the border south of Tucson.

I researched it and found out that border contacts were going from the U.S. government to the Israeli defense contractor Elbit Systems. It is based in Israel and protested around the world for human rights abuses in Palestine.

That was more than 15 years ago.

Currently, Elbit has completed 10 spy towers -- integrated fixed towers -- on the Tohono O'odham Nation, violating O'odham burial places, and placing vulnerable O'odham at risk.

The US Border Patrol can now stalk O'odham on their homeland, by way of the Border Patrol agents' laptops using this tower surveillance.

Mobile US Border Patrol trucks, with surveillance cameras, now also park outside traditional O'odham homes on tribal land.

Ofelia Rivas, Tohono O'odham, lives on the Tohono O'odham Nation, and reports for Censored News.

It was one of our readers, a prisoner rights advocate, who pointed out how Wackenhut had split into two companies. Wackenhut Transportation, which is now owned by G4S in London, has the contract for the large buses that snake along the border and transport detained migrants.

The second company in the split is GEO, the private prison profiteer.

Years earlier, Wackenhut provided security for Peabody Coal at Black Mesa, our research reveals.

Without people who are present, living on the land, and others who are advocates for migrants and are present on the border, and still others who are actively involved with inmates in prisons and exposing human rights abuses and profiteers in Arizona, I would not have been able to report all of this from the border for the past 25 years, first as a news reporter, and now as publisher of Censored News.

The violent crimes of U.S. Border Patrol agents has been covered up by a duplicitous media, responsible for romanticizing the Border Patrol and refusing to report the facts.

A web search quickly reveals the facts hidden by the media: The U.S. Border Patrol agents have been charged with serial rapes, murder, drug trafficking, spotting for the cartels so they can run their loads across the border, and violent assaults.

We send out sincere thanks to all those who serve truth and help us expose the profiteers and human rights abusers.

Thanks for reading,

Brenda, Censored News
