It is part of our Lakota virtues, 'WaĆanté Ognaké' and 'WaUnśila,' for us to give what is in our hands and in our refrigerators to provided for families in need, this is how our Lakota kinship societies stayed strong, we provided what was needed in our Tiyośpiyés (extended family/ Entire encampment) when we were privileged to have more than our own Tiwahé (family/individual Tipi) needed. -- Candi Brings Plenty

I found a BUFFALO to purchase from the Oglala Sioux Tribe Parks and Recs, I am in need of $500. I want to donate this buffalo to the Oyaté who are kuja (sick) with COVID-19 here in the Black Hills. I would like to have a traditional buffalo kill ceremony, to pray over the meat as pejuta (medicine).
This buffalo will be offered to those of us that cook weekly for our sick relatives for the meals we deliver to them. We have been cooking a hot dinner for fifty-seven days for relatives and their entire families here in the Black Hills.
