Prime Minister Trudeau met Monday morning, to address rail blockade and Shut Down Canada. Trudeau canceled a trip to Barbados, part of his ongoing global lobbying for Canada to have a seat on the United Nations Security Council.

After the meeting, Trudeau said, “I understand how worrisome this is for so many Canadians,” said Justin Trudeau after his meeting about the protests and blockades. “We are going to continue to focus on resolving this situation quickly and peacefully.”
