BISMARK, North Dakota -- Native American water defenders reminded the law firm Fredrikson -- representing Dakota Access Pipeline in Bismarck, N.D., -- of the sacredness of water today.
Earlier today, Native Americans at the camp at Cannon Ball held a water ceremony, and then took sacred water to the law firm.
Outside the law firm, Michelle Cook said, "They locked the doors on us and refused to speak to us as to why they are representing a corporation that is violating human rights."
The law firm of Fredrikson and Byron states that it  is a 275-attorney law firm based in Minneapolis, with offices in Bismarck, Des Moines, Fargo, St. Paul, Monterrey, Mexico, and Shanghai, China.

Today, with the new satellite installed at Standing Rock Spirit Resistance Radio, and the crew preparing to go live online, we also prepare for another milestone at Censored News. Today we will hit 6 million views.
I began Censored News 10 years ago, as a response to being censored and terminated as a staff reporter for Indian Country Today.
Censored News was created to provide a platform for the traditional and grassroots voices being censored. It has been a labor of love with no ads, grants or revenues all these years.
Today is also a special day because I see the faces and words of the people who have been my friends, and fellow laborers for human rights, all these years, including Michelle Cook, Dine', and Govinda, at Spirit Resistance Radio; Ofelia Rivas, O'odham, Kahentinetha at Mohawk Nation News, and so many at the Standing Rock Camp, along with all of you at home doing the best you can to make this world a better place to live.
We have traveled to Bolivia, with the Zapatistas, and throughout the Americas, always struggling, always doing the best we can.
Thanks to all of you who have shared your truths, photos and more with Censored News all these years.
Best, Brenda Norrell, Censored News

Cannon Ball River, 1851 Ft Laramie Treaty Territory…The weekend after the federal judge declared that he will wait up to two weeks to issue his ruling to temporarily halt construction of the Dakota Access  Pipeline, the Red Warrior Camp continues to grow and thrive.
The camp has established a recycling program; a food distribution program to support camp kitchens; nonviolent direct action training and culture based activities.
North Dakota Homeland Security Division's decision to abruptly remove their trailers and drinking water tanks have not affected the people in camp.
Much like our ancestors before us, we are resilient and will persevere.  These delays will not deter, but in fact will motivate, the people to focus on what they came here for…to protect the water.
More than 50 native nations and allies from around the world have converged here on the banks of the Cannon Ball River to be a voice for the sacred water and Mother Earth.  The population is expected to increase in the coming week with the influx of additional tribal nations arriving.
