Here’s how it goes. A band council entity is set up. They offer to help their people. Somebody or a community group get some monies to “benefit the community”, but the band council or its nominee own all the assets from it and can tell us what we can or cannot do. The band council and its entities use our funds to ingratiate,  enrich themselves, get into conflict of interest situations and possible fraud.

You get old. Your knees hurt. Your back hurts. Everything hurts.

You get to a point where you see things as they really are, past the flowery words that people use to make you feel good about things that are irrelevant.

Pasadena: Protect Pee'Hee Muh'Huh,Thacker Pass: Federal Court Today

In Pasadena, Calif. this morning, a federal court appeal to protect sacred Pee'Hee Mu'Huh, Thacker Pass, from Lithium Americas mine. The foreign company is digging into the Paiute Massacre site in Nevada in violation of federal laws that protect Native burial places; endangered species and groundwater. -- Censored News

 AP reports, "A U.S. appeals court will consider challenges Tuesday to a huge lithium mine in Nevada in a case that pits environmentalists and Native Americans against President Joe Biden’s plans to combat climate change and could have broad implications for mining operations across the West.

"For the first time since it blocked construction of an Arizona copper mine last year, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals was scheduled to hear oral arguments in a two-year-old legal battle with striking similarities to the Arizona case. The Nevada mine is in the works near the Oregon line and would involve extraction of the silvery-white metal used in electric-vehicle batteries.

Lawyers for Lithium Americas — the Canadian company that broke ground on the project in March — as well as the U.S. government, conservationists, tribes and a Nevada rancher were allotted time to highlight their positions during Tuesday’s hearing before a three-judge panel in Pasadena, California."

The Intercept -- Border Patrol Video of Killing Shows Native Man Had No Gun. Complied With Orders

The Intercept reports that Raymond Mattia, Tohono O'odham, complied with officers, who fired as many as 38 rounds at him as he came out of his front door to talk to them.

The Border Patrol agents were cursing at Raymond as they murdered him. There were 10 officers' bodycam recordings -- but only one officer's edited footage was released to the family and public. The officers present at the crime scene were both U.S. Border Patrol agents, and Tohono O'odham Nation police. -- Censored News.
