Gathered at Standing Rock Camp, Chase Iron Eyes, Lakota, said there are a lot of rumors, fear and confusion.
Iron Eyes said that some people think that the tribe will prevent others from coming to camp. There are other people who think that the Army Corps is going to flood the camp.
Today, a member of Oceti Sakowin who was one of those who started the Sacred Fire in this camp, extinguished that fire.
But Iron Eyes said, "Whenever something like that happens, an end always signals a new beginning, and a new day is dawning here at All Nations Camp."
Some are leaving the camp -- but the winter is harsh.
He said with the winter, comes a great cleaning.
"It is very, very tough here."
He said the All Nations Camp is now where Oceti Sakowin Camp was.
Iron Eyes said there are about 1,000 people here. There are also still people at the Horn and at the Haudenosaunee Camp. Across the river, there about 1,000 people at Sacred Stone Camp, and about 300 people at Rosebud Camp.
"Who are we to abandon our struggle? Who are we to forsake our ancestors sacrifices?
"Who are we to forsake the 550 people who have been arrested."
"Who are we to forsake those who have been shot with rubber bullets, those who have had their limbs blown open by law enforcement explosives?"
"Who are we to forsake those who have had their lives put at risk by water cannons in sub-freezing temperatures?"
The fight for our liberation is enough alone, but this is a fight for all peoples human rights.
When the people are asked to leave, he said they are being asked to leave and return to lives of poverty and oppression.
This society has tried to erase us, he said, and tried to disconnect us from the land, from the water.
"What is happening here is an international monument, an international prayer monument, that lives within each of us."
"We can't live like this anymore."
He said here, people live with love, compassion and bravery.
"We are answering to our spiritual nature."
We are non-violent, we are unarmed.
This has made the people and the struggle stronger.
It is a peaceful revolution.
"Peace does not back down. Peace is power."
"What you see here in this whole camp is power." The power to connect, the power to rely on each other. People have sacrificed for the water and rights, and the people are provided for.
"We are here, we are committed and we are going to carry on the struggle."
He said do not believe the rumors, fears and confusion on the Internet.
The people at camp are committed.
"Our world is blessed for their bravery."
Speaking of this struggle, he said, "They are coming for our rights right now, but they are coming for all of your rights next."
Trump is threatening to privatize tribal nations. "We have to be prepared for that."
People have to stay strong and rely on each other.
"We got this."
Nataani Means, Dine' and son of Russell Means, spoke of what he has seen here. "It is a beautiful transition from one fire going out, to another one being lit."
The people witnessed a lot of trauma.
"We're still here."
Nataani said he was able to watch his father in action, and his father stressed Treaty Rights.
Nataani said, "Honor the Treaties."
"We're not going to abandon that."
"This place is a place for no fear. You can't have fear on the front." And you can't have fear when you go into the banks to divest.
Atsa E'sha Hoferer, Paiute, Shoshone, Creek and Seminole, and video reporter in camp, said it is important that the people continue on in one fight.
He said it is the time for the younger generation to fight for Mother Earth.
"She is hurting."
Atsa said he comes from the homeland of Wovoka, and he is here with a descendant of Wovoka who brought the Ghost Dance.
"We brought our prayers here, just like in the 1890s."
Wovoka's dream was that if we all continue together, and keep our prayers strong, our ancestors will come back and protect us.
Antone Edwards, Lakota, said as soon as he saw his brother Nataani here on the videos, he came.
Antone said since coming here, he realizes the power of the songs.
"Our people can not be broken."
"There is no fear at all."
"We are all here until the end."
Antone said, for those still coming, be prepared to work. Be prepared to be a Warrior.
"The other night we heard those machines going all night."
"It is not over. That is why we are still here."
Rico said, "We have no doubt that we are going to stop this pipeline."
"What Big Oil calls progress -- we are going to stop it."
An Akwesasne Mohawk said, "We are not stopping."
"In reality, this is only the beginning."
One Standing Rock tribal member welcomed others who can handle the harsh winter. And another young woman, a Lakota Warrior, said she was here to ensure the rights for future generations, and "our unborn children."
One Warrior said, "If you have never felt freedom before, you need to come here."
This entire country, and the world is watching, he said.
The gathering ends with a Lakota drum song.

Grand Jury Probe Targets Standing Rock Water Protectors -- Desperate US Scheme for Big Oil Pipeline

Grand Jury probe targets Standing Rock water protectors, follows pattern of Grand Jury being used to target activists and create political prisoners

By Brenda Norrell

BISMARCK, North Dakota -- Standing Rock water protectors are being subpoenaed in a desperate attempt by the United States to vilify and criminalize water protectors.
The Grand Jury probes in the United States have long been a scheme for prosecutors to gain access to confidential information and an attempt to have friends testify against one another. The unlawful use of the Grand Jury has targeted activists in the United States, seeking to dismantle movements and imprison those who are most vocal or productive.
The Grand Jury probe of Standing Rock water protectors comes as Energy Transfer Partners, and the co-opted Morton County Sheriff and Governor of North Dakota, are pushing for the Dakota Access Pipeline to be completed.
The State of North Dakota, and the Morton County Sheriff have engaged in systematic abuse of human rights and police have acted with blatant excessive force.
North Dakota Gov. Jack Dalrymple and Morton County Sheriff Kyle Kirchmeier are responsible for water protectors being shot with rubber bullets, maced, beaten with batons, sprayed in the face with pepper spray, blasted with fire hoses in freezing temperatures, strip-searched and marked with numbers on their arms and caged in "dog kennels" in jail without sufficient clothing, water or food.
Numerous young women have been seriously injured. One young Navajo woman has lost sight in her eye after being hit with a police projectile. A young woman from New York had her arm shattered by a concussion grenade shot by police. Doctors are performing reconstructive surgery to save her arm. One young Native woman had her wrist fractured twice.
Many other water protectors have been shot with rubber bullets, resulting in bloody gashes to their head and coughing up blood.
The police responsible now face a federal lawsuit for excessive force.
Morton County Sheriff Kyle Kirchmeier has engaged in a public misinformation campaign, stating a steady stream of lies about the water protectors to the broadcast and print media. The media has repeated these lies without fact checking, or maintaining the ethics of journalism.
Currently, a Grand Jury has been called as Dakota Access Pipeline has been stalled.
DAPL is desperate to complete its billion dollar crude oil pipeline, by drilling under the water of the Missouri River, creating the potential of a poisoned water supply for millions of people.
The Water Protector Legal Collective has confirmed that a federal grand jury had been convened in North Dakota in relation to water protectors.
"Grand juries have historically been used to target resistance movements and create political prisoners," the Water Protector Legal Collective said.
"Water Protector Legal Collective is offering camp-wide grand jury resistance education. Please contact us at 605.519.8180 if you have been contacted by federal authorities or have been served with a subpoena related to water protection activities."
The National Lawyers Guild has issued guidance for individuals who have received a Grand Jury subpoena.
If a person does not respond to the subpoena, this person could be held in contempt of court. Persons subpoenaed can not have a lawyer present when questioned -- but can have an attorney in the hall. During questioning, the person can ask to speak with an attorney before answering each question.
Those subpoenaed do not have the right to remain silent when questioned.
Those subpoenaed should obtain an attorney and beware of any attorney that advises them to provide information on friends in exchange for deals with prosecutors.

Leonard Peltier speaks on passing of his son Medicine Shield

.
Leonard Peltier

Statement by Leonard Peltier
12/10/2016

Greetings, everyone.

It's taken me a while to get over this shock of my son's passing. I keep thinking this did not happen and then I realize no one is going to tell me something like this IF it didn't happen. Damn, as all parents, we expect to go before OUR children. I'm so upset. I want to lash out, blame "someone" or "anything"!! BUT I can only blame myself for not being a better father. I'm so happy that, some time ago Now, when I last spoke to him about this that we told each other we loved one another and that I would try to be a better father. BUT it is SO damn hard to be a good father from prison especially when you're in a situation like mine when all you think about is going home and being able to just sit with them and talk about life.

Now my baby son is gone and I will never be able to tell him in person again I love him, only through the spirits. I want to thank all of YOU FOR YOUR CONDOLENCES. Thank you very much. You supporters have been more than awesome. You're good people and I love all of you very much.

Since I was unable to be a better father to Wahacanka (Medicine Shield), and he has left five children (three young children) I feel it is my responsibility to take care of them at least until they are grown. He also had a grandchild with another on the way, so I will need to look after these babies too. I will need your help to set up a foundation or whatever to care for these children. I don't know what it will take, but I'm thinking maybe I could fund this through my art (paintings and prints). So if anyone has ideas, etc., please help me with this. I don't know what to do or even begin to do with something like this.

When it rains it pours, they say. I just heard an old friend and ally Warren Allmand has passed too. Last week I'm told, and I just heard about it yesterday. This man fought hard for me to try and get justice for the fraud the USA committed in Canada's courts, against a sovereign government, to get me back here to the USA. But Canada was involved with the fraud, too. Then we found out they were also threatened by the DOJ that they would withhold multiple millions of dollars for their joint agriculture laboratory if they ruled against the USA in the extradition investigation Warren and supporters demanded. So I need to send my condolences to his family also.

I will be going for a prostate operation shortly. With modern medicine and treatment, it should be successful and quick. They will not tell me when, so stand by for results if all goes well or if not. Again, thank you.

In the Spirit Of Crazy Horse...

Doksha,

Leonard Peltier

Anonymous and others, can you help us collect the names and addresses of the shareholders of DAPL, the politicians and military agencies in the US and Canadian governments and corporations involved in these criminal acts against the water protectors and our mother.

The names and addresses of the strategists of the Army Corps of Engineers, North Dakota law enforcement and anyone involved in committing criminal acts against the  water protectors. Those familiar with the legal matrix, please come forward and let us know.
AND STARTED COMING TO LAKOTA LAND!
AND STARTED COMING TO LAKOTA LAND!
There should be a complete accounting of the funds and materials that the good people of the world donated for a noble cause. Everything they’ve done is greatly appreciated. It could not have happened without your participation. Nia:wen to all of you. 'Financial planning requires long-term thinking. Especially if you get caught.'
We onkwe’hon:weh, the original people, in our natural clan based systems, know the power of the women is still the way. The council of women in all clan based systems protect the land and children coming into the communities.
POWER OF THE WOMEN'S FIRE.
POWER OF THE WOMEN’S FIRE.
We all come from women. When the women of the world take their rightful place in creation to take care of the babies and the land they are brought into [the communities], then the war problem will be quickly finished. The communities will be sustainable between people an all creation according to the original instructions.
The strength of the people is derived from the women, where the male and their children gain their identity, power and relationship with the universe. The women are the connection to the earth and the men depend on this connection to give them the energy and courage to protect the people and their territory.
Caregiving for the coming babies.
Caregiving for the coming babies.
The women decide which of their sons will become the leaders of the men. This is the beginning of peace on earth.
When the women take their rightful positions in each of our communities around their people’s fires, we can deal with all the disruptions that have been imposed on us.
We are proud of our young people from all nationalities who stand for mother earth. Don’t be afraid to face our enemy and tell them the truth. We are grateful that so many are not intimidated. Those elders who are here or gone are with us today and making contributions.
Sarah McLauglan and Robbie Robertson give a synopsis on what’s going on Standing Rock in the song “World on Fire”: “Part the veil on Achilles sun. Stray from the straight line on this short run. The more we take, the less we become. Afortune of one that means less for some”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZYQvmeJeoE

COME CLEAN, ARCHIE!

mnnlogo1

Please post & distribute.
MNN. DEC. 10, 2016. Archie Archambault, the corpo chief, should be questioned. Is it all threats? People’s lives are being risked. The blizzard didn’t chase everybody away. The council fears more liability to their coffers. When the Oceti Sakowin camp is cleared, then the DAPL can come in and put down the pipe to save their investors’ money. Nobody trusts the US government or the corporation.
Archie: "Better watch out! Better not pout!"
Archie: “Better watch out! Better not pout!”
Archie told Jughead, “I been to the ocean and never saw so much water. And I only looked at the top of it!” As a grad of the BIA School of Dirty Tricks with a major in ‘Pass the Buck”, pulling out the port-a-potties is a low blow. So is spraying the water protectors with chem trails.
The Army Corps of Engineers has rumored they will raise the water level at Lake Oahe, where the Missouri River flows into the lake. This would prevent Energy Transfer Partners from drilling underneath the lake.
Preparing for the flood.
Preparing for the flood.
At the same time U.S. District Judge denies #DAPL a quick ruling on whether to overturn the Army’s denial of a permit. The investors contract ends on January 2, 2017 when they can exercise their out clause.
Chairman Archie, Governor Jack Jughead Dalrymple and the Army Corps met to plan raising the water levels by unplugging the dam upstream. This could result in the flooding the largest camp.
"Hey, Archie, Today's national Atheist day.' 'I don't believe it.'
“Hey, Archie, Today’s national Atheist day.’ ‘I don’t believe it.’
Archie’s job is to get them to move and go home. They won’t. Then the blizzard happened. Some protectors moved into Archie’s casino. Then they moved the port-a-potties. These were quickly replaced by compost toilets inside tents with a small cozy fire. Now the threat of the flood. AssimilateArchieArchambault always wants to look good.
That's more like it!
That’s more like it!
The grass is taking root across the land. Only we, the people, can deal with these non-human corporate entities, who have more rights than human beings. Archie represents only his crew, Veronica, Betty, Jughead and Reggie.
The government wants everybody in the world to think Everything’s Archie [Archambault in Standing Rock]. The people see Archie like a red-headed stepson: ”Archie’s here, Betty’s here, Veronica and Reggie are here. Hey, Jughead, where are you? We wanna dance. We wanna sing.”
