The Zapatista Army for National Liberation joins the actions slated for October 22, 2014, at 6pm, in demand of safe return for the 43 disappeared students; in demand of punishment for those responsible for the murders and forced disappearances; and in demand of unconditional liberation for our Yaqui brothers Mario Luna Romero and Fernando Jiménez Gutierrez,

As part of this global day of action, the Zapatista people will shine our small light on some of the paths that we walk.

The following comments by Louise Benally of Big Mountain, comparing the Long Walk and imprisonment in Bosque Redondo to the war in Iraq, and responding to this photo, were censored by Indian Country Today.

continuum of U.S. government sponsored terror.

Louise Benally of Big Mountain remembered her great-grandfather and
other Navajos driven from their beloved homeland by the U.S. Army on
foot for hundreds of miles while witnessing the murder, rape and
starvation of their family and friends.

“I think these poor children had gone through so much, but, yet they
had the will to go on and live their lives. If it weren’t for that, we
wouldn’t be here today.

“It makes me feel very sad and I apply this to the situation in Iraq.
I wonder how the Native Americans in the combat zone feel about killing
innocent lives.”

Looking at the faces of the Navajo and Apache children in the Bosque
Redondo photo, Benally said, “I think the children in the picture look
concerned and maybe confused. It makes me think of what the children in
Iraq must be going through right now.

“The U.S. military first murders your people and destroys your way of
life while stealing your culture, then forces you to learn their evil
ways of lying and cheating,” Benally said.

MNN. Oct. 21, 2014. The Quebec Police in Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu were chasing a 25-year old businessman, Couture Rouleau. His car hit two men in a parking lot, who happen to be soldiers. One died. With the cops in hot pursuit, his car flipped over near the Canadian Forces Base. Witnesses saw him crawl out with his hands up. They said they heard on the police radio, “Make sure he’s dead!” The cops shot him 7 times.

Shortly after, Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced in Parliament that the man had been radicalized and could have been “engaged in a terrorist act”. The mainstream media quickly blasted the story criminalizing Rouleau. It was in fact murder by the cops on speculation.

In Ferguson Missouri 18-year old Michael Brown had his hands up to surrender shouting, “Don’t shoot!”. He was shot 6 times. Demonstrations and rioting followed.

Rouleau was harassed because of his beliefs. He had converted to Muslim, went by the name Ahmed and praised Allah on his website. His passport was confiscated. His murder is like the hanging of 38 Indigenous on December 16, 1862. It was all on Lincoln’s orders. It was the largest mass execution in US history. Hanging of Indians at Mankato.

Canadian media promote the bombing of the people of Iraq. US president George Bush sat in the classroom while the World Trade Center was blasted by a nuclear explosion, ordered by him. Harper wants to declare war on terror in Canada, to turn the billion dollar 30-day mission into a ten billion dollar 10-year mission.

Just like Great Turtle Island; the plan is to depopulate the Middle East so they can subjugate the survivors and steal all their resources.

The situation with Rouleau reminds us of the Orwellian thought police. We’ll let Maxwell Smart point out the confusion. Maxwell Smart.
