MARTY, South Dakota -- After two requests from the Yankton Sioux Tribe on March 17 and April 13, 2016 and numerous phone calls; the US Army Corps of Engineers has agreed to Consultation with the Yankton/Ihanktonwan on the Bakken Pipeline, otherwise termed the Dakota Access Pipeline.  The Yankton reject the appropriation of the name “Dakota” in a project that is in violation of aboriginal and treaty lands.  The word Dakota means “the People” in the Dakota/Lakota/Nakota language and was never intended to be used in a project which violates traditional ceremonial areas.

The Consultation was proposed by the Corps to take place at the Powerhouse building at the US Army Corps Offices in Pickstown, SD at the Ft. Randall Dam.  This is the same Dam that obliterated the White Swan Community of the Ihanktonwan in the 1950’s. In response the Ihanktonwan are inviting the Corps to meet with them at the Ft. Randall Casino on May 18, at 4pm at the Ft. Randall Casino.  Tribal Secretary, Sam Sully stated that this tribal consultation request will take place on tribal lands.  

The Ihanktonwan have cited the need for a full Environmental Impact Statement, just as the Enivornmental Policy Act, the Department of Interior and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation have recommended.  Other issues will be presented by the tribe at the consultation.

The Ihanktonwan are in full opposition to this pipeline as it threatens the water source of tribal members as well as five other communities on the Missouri River who utilize drinking water from this source.  The Tribe has a host of concerns that have not been met and these will be addressed.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is accepting critical comments until May 16 on a project of vital concern to the Tohono O'odham Nation. Your support is welcome and may be significant.

The CBP currently proposes building 15 surveillance towers near the United States – Mexico border on the Tohono O'odham Nation. These towers would be built by Elbit Systems, an Israeli corporation responsible for apartheid security in Palestine.

Seven of these towers would be in the district of Gu-Vo (Big Pond), the westernmost district of the Tohono O'odham Nation. The Gu-Vo Governing Council said No to the proposed construction of these Integrated Fixed Towers (IFT) in the Gu-Vo District, respecting its members desire to preserve and protect Gu-Vo District sacred burial sites and ancient community sites, as well as its current communities and future generations.

Six of the proposed towers are in or near communities. Of the two that are adjacent to the United States/Mexico International border, one is on a sacred burial place and ancient village site and the other is in Ali Jegk (Little Clearing) community.

Respect the Gu-Vo District position of NO IFTs whatsoever.

Respect the Gu-Vo District's actions to protect and preserve sacred places, ceremonial places and burial place and ancient village places.

Respect the authority of Gu-Vo District as O'odham authority, voice of O'odham Communities and community members.

Respect the Gu-Vo District's efforts to protect future generations.​

 MNN. 15, 2016. A constitution is the will of a free people. The kaia’nere:kowa, the great peace, favors nature. It represents creation’s design for all living things to live in harmony with the natural world. Our title is based on us holding the land for the future unborn generations. They own all the assets and have all the power. 

Canada is not a country. It doesn’t have a constitution. It has a corporate “charter”. Constitution is never mentioned in the House of Commons. The corporate colonial charter of Canada is called the “British North America Act of 1867”. It runs a business using the resources of the forthcoming children of the origjnal people. Canada’s charter is concerned about banking, railroads, oil, insurance companies, pipelines, real estate and so on to abuse our future children. There is no statute of limitation on mass murder.

Chief: “Don’t ask them. Just change the rules!”

When the corporation dissolves, the creditors must be compensated. Future business ventures will be based on the kaia’nere:kowa, where everyone serves nature.

Today the corporate entities have to get our prior and informed consent to use the land and resources of our children. In fact, we natural people cannot sit at the table with subordinate artificially created illegal entities who rape our land.

The corporation of Canada has a limited duration, from one election to the next. Canada can be dissolved when no one votes. The Liberal Party is now ramming through a bill to change election laws without a referendum of the people.

A dictatorship is when the rules of engagement in a democracy are changed without going to the people. No one knows how the votes are counted in Canada. Politicians are not elected, but selected in all ranks – band/tribal councils, municipalities, provincial and federal governments and so on. 

The business plan is to try to carry out the final solution of the INDIAN problem by 2024. It is conducted in the Indian Affairs war room. Our minds are supposed to be totally colonized and we are to be assimilated into the corporate body politic. In the end they hope to take over all of our assets.

Corporatism ends when the power returns to the land. To stay on ono’ware:geh, great turtle island, everyone has to follow the kaia’nere:kowa, the great peace. The corporate 51% majority of those who vote allows war to continue. This elite controlled system must be eradicated.

Corporate Canada is a private company owned by the CROWN. Trudeau took an oath to the Queen, not to the people or to the land, so the CROWN can continue their illusion of freedom in their military corporation called Canada.

The U.S. Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) said an oil sheen 2 miles wide by 13 miles long was visible in the sea about 97 miles off the Louisiana coast. The spill occurred 2900 feet below sea level. This Sunday, thousands will mobilize in Washington, DC as a part of the “Break Free From Fossil Fuels” movement happening across the globe, demanding the Obama Administration to protect the waters of the Arctic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico from new fossil fuel developments and offshore drilling.  Representatives from Gulf Coast and Alaska communities will be speaking at the rally in front of the White House on Sunday. Click here for more info about the rally.  In response to the news of the spill, the Indigenous Environmental Network released the following statements:  Tom Goldtooth, Indigenous Environmental Network Executive Director: “Yet again the Gulf Coast experiences an oil spill, meanwhile the White House administration continues to lease federal public lands for more fossil fuel development. This does not demonstrate the leadership needed to addressing climate change. This is business-as-usual with frontline communities of the Gulf Coast paying the price; Mother Earth is paying the price. We implore the President of the United States to listen to the thousands of people who will be in Washington, DC this Sunday demanding the protection of our sacred waters and a moratorium on new offshore drilling.”  Monique Verdin, Houma Nation Council member-elect, Louisiana: “Multinational corporations continue to drill off our coast, while the federal government is putting more offshore lands onto the auction block than ever before. This is absurd. The only way to ensure we protect the water and sanctity of life in and along the Gulf Coast is to put an end to extreme fossil fuel development. Oil and gas infrastructure, from pipelines to wells to refineries, are gambling with the health of our environment and the wellness of our communities along the coast.
