As a protector of the lands, I refuse to walk with my heart smashed on the ground. This life is now 24 hours, 7 days and all western 365 calendar days, under the real-time video Elbit System surveillance tower.

During my early morning walk to my traditional O’odham seeds garden during the quiet hours, the mechanical gears break the silence as the surveillance camera follows my movement in my yard.

The next disturbance is the border patrol trucks traveling at high speed on the eroded pavement.

Elbit Systems built the spy towers on the Tohono O'odham Nation. Traditional O'odham opposed this, but the U.S. government and the Tohono O'odham Legislature approved the spy towers.

The US Border Patrol agents now use the live images from the spy towers to track and stalk O'odham on their homeland. The tower data is transmitted to the agents' laptops. The most vulnerable are isolated O'odham women, children and elderly, on the O'odham homeland on both sides of the border.

At the same time, three U.S. Border Patrol agents in this area -- the Tucson, Arizona,  sector of the U.S. Border Patrol -- have been charged as serial rapists.

On Crow Voices Radio, Govinda interviewed Ofelia Rivas, Tohono O'odham, live from Montana today. Ofelia described the opposition to the Israeli spy towers of Elbit Systems, now being constructed on her Tohono O'odham Nation homeland.

Along with the spy towers, integrated fixed towers, the vehicle barrier now prevents animals from migrating. The towers allow the U.S. government to watch and listen to traditional O'odham in their home communities.

Rivas said the Tohono O'odham Nation government's opposition to the border wall is just rhetoric because the elected tribal government does not want to jeopardize its federal funding.

Traditional O'odham continue their prayers for the protection of the water and Quitobaquito Springs.

"We do need each others help to protect our lives and appreciation of Mother Earth," Rivas said.

"We are all going through a lot of changes."

Rivas said she is in a grieving mode, because there is a lot of destruction, and not just because of the pandemic. "The destruction of the sacred mountain affects our way of life."

O'odham remember their ancestors and hold them dear.

"If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be sitting here today."

As the number of O'odham communities on the south side of the border decreases, she said the Mexican government has not supported the O'odham on the south side. Rivas has been delivering water and food to O'odham.

"We meet at that fence," she said, of deliveries to O'odham on the south side.

"Stay strong, and be healthy, and be happy," she said.

Democracy Now! reports: "In Bolivia, a court in La Paz has dismissed terrorism charges and annulled an arrest warrant against Evo Morales, arguing the former president’s rights and due process had been violated. The charges were issued following a right-wing coup last year that overthrew Morales. This comes as Morales has vowed to return to Bolivia after Luis Arce of Morales’s MAS party won last week’s presidential election by a landslide. Morales has been in exile for nearly one year."

NEW YORK -- Tohono O'odham Ofelia Rivas spoke to a gathering of Extinction Rebellion in New York on Black Friday, sharing the need to protect Mother Earth.

Ofelia Rivas said she "shared the message for people to consider a personal conscious choice to end consumerism driven by this corporate system."

"The message from Indigenous Peoples is to protect Mother Earth. They are here taking this action, and it is a sign that people have heard our message," Rivas told Censored News.

In New York, Rivas opened the 20 Million Women Strong organization event in the East Village.

While in New York, Rivas provided a prayer song for Bolivians at the "Impunity with the Aymara Community of Bolivia," gathering of The Center for Constitutional Rights and Harvard Law.

At the Concerned Citizens for Change meeting at Manhattan College, Rivas also delivered a presentation.

The Extinction Rebellion action in New York was part of planned Black Friday protests around the world, with activists blockading shopping malls in Paris, Montreal and Madrid, calling for an end to consumerism.

Rivas is founder of O'odham Voice against the Wall and has lived her life on her homeland, battling the U.S. Border Patrol who sit outside her home. One U.S. Border Patrol Special Operations Agent from El Paso pulled a gun on her as he was stalking her at her gate. 

After testifying before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights in Jamaica in May on the militarization of her homeland, and abuses by U.S. Homeland Security and its Border Patrol on the Tohono O'odham Nation, Ofelia was delayed two days returning home after being targeted by U.S. Homeland Security with repeated searches because of her testimony.

Currently, protected Saguaro Cactus and endangered species are being destroyed near Rivas' home on the Tohono O'odham Nation. At the nearby Organ Pipe National Monument, construction of a border wall segment, now endangers a sacred spring. The border wall construction all along the Arizona border is now blocking the migration paths of jaguar, pronghorn and other rare and endangered species.

The border wall has already proved worthless, as an eight-year-old climber scaled a mock wall in seconds. On the California border recently, the border wall was cut open and a truck driven through it. 

Previously Rivas and O'odham elders returned the remains of their ancestors to their resting place after they were dug up by the United States' construction of a border vehicle barrier on the Tohono O'odham Nation.

Now, the human rights violator Elbit Systems, an Israeli defense contractor responsible for Apartheid security in Palestine, is constructing spy towers on the Tohono O'odham Nation. These integrated fixed towers, contracted by U.S. Homeland Security in remote O'odham communities will continue the spying and stalking of O'odham, which is already underway by the U.S. Border Patrol.

On Friday, at least 27 members of the Extinction Rebellion were arrested in New York.

“This is a real crisis. It’s a moral crisis. We’re in a very sad place,” said Manhattan resident Sarah Kollodny, 80, reports The New York Post.

“We really want to draw attention to what’s happening in the world. Black Friday is a day of strong consumerism,” she added, urging people to “reflect on our resources and consumerism.”

Extinction Rebellion members carried signs calling for “Empathy, humility, frugality” and declaring a “climate emergency,” caused by what they said were carbon emissions from excessive consumption.

The US Border Patrol should turn its cameras on itself. An agent was recently arrested smuggling drugs on to the Tohono O'odham Nation at Sasabe, Arizona.

 Instead the United States spies on Native people all along the border. The video spy camera trucks shown here target Indigenous People.

One Border Patrol agent on Tohono O'odham Nation has been identified as a US Border Patrol agent in Special Operations, special ops, based in El Paso. The agent pulled a gun on an O'odham woman when she told him to leave.
Along with the mobil U.S. spy trucks, now Israeli spy towers are planned by U.S. Homeland Security for sovereign Tohono O'odham Nation land. Gu-Vo District is opposing the towers which would destroy burial places and endanger the fragile desert and wildlife.
The U.S. contract is with Elbit Systems, an Israeli defense contractor responsible for Apartheid border security in Palestine, and known around the world for human rights violations.

Apartheid and Tohono O'odham Spy Towers -- University of Arizona continues anti-Native stance by partnering with Elbit Systems

TUCSON -- It comes as no surprise that the University of Arizona has partnered with the Israeli defense contractor Elbit Systems. Elbit Systems -- responsible for Apartheid security systems in Palestine -- is now pushing for border spy towers on the Tohono O'odham Nation.

The GuVo District, on the western part of the Tohono O'odham Nation, is opposed to the spy towers, and passed a resolution to protect their burial places and sacred places from the destruction of the towers.

In Gu'Vo District, Ofelia Rivas, founder of O'odham Voice against the Wall, said,  "The general public in the united states continues to be ignorant and apathetic and human suffering is entertainment.

"Meanwhile the world's eye can see and our human spirit can sense the enormous suffering of Mother Earth.

"Every aspect of human life relies on Mother Earth, for water, and food. Any single impact by undocumented    surveillance technology radiation emissions impacts plants and animals -- and human life is the greatest concern by O'odham in opposition to the surveillance project imposed upon the Tohono O'odham Nation," Ofelia Rivas told Censored News on Wednesday.

The University of Arizona in Tucson exposed its anti-Native American stance when it joined the Pope in their crusade to desecrate sacred Mount Graham with monster telescopes.

Both the University and the Pope ignored pleas and lawsuits from San Carlos Apache and environmental organizations.

Now, the University has exposed itself again by partnering with the leaders of weapons and death for profit.

These warmongers partnering with the university include Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, and Sandia Labs.

At the University these are called 'Industrial Affiliates' and Elbit Systems, known for its human rights abuses globally, is one of these affiliates.

The University of Arizona announced in September of 2018 that its Optical Sciences Department was partnering with Elbit Systems.

On the Tohono O'odham Nation, GuVo District remains opposed to the towers, known as integrated fixed towers.

Meanwhile, Tohono O'odham community members question what happened at the Tribal Border Summit, held on Pascua Yaqui Nation in January.

At the border summit, US Homeland Security was invited to a secret, closed session with Tohono O'odham Nation government leaders and other tribal leaders. The National Congress of American Indians, NCAI, was among the hosts and  organizers of the border summit.
Tohono O'odham community members say they were not invited, or informed afterwards about what took place at the border summit behind closed doors.

Follow the money: The University of Arizona has received millions of dollars by way of grants and contracts for projects on the Tohono O'odham Nation.

US Homeland Security awarded Elbit Systems the contract for fixed integrated towers in Arizona, with an initial contract of $145 million. Israeli leaders celebrated the contract in Israel, according to Israeli media, and spy tower construction was soon underway on the border at Douglas, Nogales and Sonoita, Arizona.

Black Cube spies were hired to halt news stories, at the same time that Israeli companies are receiving U.S. border contracts -- including Elbit Systems' contract for spy towers on sacred land of the Tohono O'odham Nation -- and Trump's border wall prototype.

Israeli intelligence 'Black Cube,' is tracking journalists and trying to halt news articles in the U.S., writes Julian Assange on Twitter today, with a link to The New Yorker magazine's new exposures.
It is important to those who live on the US Mexico border, including the Tohono O'odham Nation, who are now facing the Apartheid Israeli contractors hired to build the spy towers by Homeland Security during the Obama Administration.
Now, Trump wants an Israeli firm to build his border wall.
"An Israeli company, Elta North America, (a subsidiary of the Israel Aerospace Industry) was one of eight companies awarded a massive sum to produce a prototype for the wall that the U.S. intends to build along the U.S.-Mexico border," Telesur reports.
Israel's contracts from U.S. Homeland Security, at the United States southern border, including the spy towers on sovereign Tohono O'odham land, are one of the most censored articles in the U.S. by the media.The exposures of Israeli intelligence Black Cube spies posing as friends, and attempting to halt news stories, was exposed by Ronan Farrow in The New Yorker.
Harvey Weinstein set out to suppress allegations that he had sexually harassed or assaulted numerous women. He hired private security agencies to collect information on the women and the journalists trying to expose the allegations, The New Yorker reports.
"One of the investigators pretended to be a women’s-rights advocate and secretly recorded at least four meetings with McGowan. The mountain holds human remains of our people and also places of our cultural practices (medicine bundles) home and home of the ceremonial deer and bighorn sheep and mountain tortoises that are protected under the Endangered Species Act."
"The United States government military forces, the border patrol, have not been forthcoming with impact information, such as health effects and have deliberately misinformed the people regarding the immediate environmental impacts such as the roads they will build on the mountain and installation of electrical power lines to the sites as well as that these proposed tower sites will have a 25-year or longer impact on the mountain, the animal and plant life and the O'odham lives."

Our future generations will face more restriction to live on our original lands as our rights as original Indigenous peoples continue to deteriorate."

This inhumane 'cage' was used for migrant detention in 2007 on the Tohono O'odham Nation, where temperatures can exceed 115 degrees. A new report exposes the arms dealers profiting from migrant misery and border surveillance, including the Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems which is now targeting the Tohono O’odham Nation with Israeli/US spy towers.

On the western Tohono O’odham Nation, Gu-Vo District has said, ‘No!’ to the integrated fixed towers. "These U.S. proposed towers also are not on the border but in our communities and on the border of the Tohono O'odham Nation reiterating discrimination and deliberate attack on the O'odham," said O’odham’s Gu-Vo District.

Israel’s Elbit Systems, awarded the US border contract by Homeland Security, is exposed in a new report “Border Wars: The Arms Dealers Profiting from Europe’s Refugee Tragedy.”

Arms dealers and border surveillance profiteers are exposed as benefiting from the wars that they fuel, and the migrant misery they create, states the report released jointly by the European Stop Wapenhandel and Transnational Institute on Monday.

The new report states:

Most perverse of all, it shows that some of the beneficiaries of border security contracts are some of the biggest arms sellers to the Middle-East and North-African region, fuelling the conflicts that are the cause of many of the refugees. In other words, the companies creating the crisis are then profiting from it.

While exposing the arms dealers in Europe profiteering from the refugee tragedy, the new report also exposes Elbit’s role in Palestine and on the Arizona border.

The new report states:

US/Israeli spy towers this year on the Arizona
border in the Nogales area. The Tohono
O'odham Nation is now targeted.

Major, and often controversial, deals in the border security field include the Finmecannica-deal with Libya, as well as the US Secure Borders Initiative. This initiative included a billion-dollar contract with Boeing, to build a border security network along the northern and southern borders of the United States. The project was plagued by severe (technological and legal) problems and was finally cancelled. It was partially replaced by a smaller project ($145 million), for which Israeli arms producer Elbit built a network of surveillance towers on the border between Mexico and Arizona. As in Europe, the militarisation of the US border with Mexico has been criticised by human rights organisations because of its negative impacts on refugees rights and the way it forces refugees to use more dangerous routes to avoid border enforcement.

The report also exposes how Elbit drones are used by Israel to attack Palestinians. This comes as Native Americans are speaking out in support of Palestinians and speaking out in opposition to Israel and Border Apartheid.

The report states:

In 2015, Switzerland ordered six UAVs from Elbit for surveillance missions by border guards, for approximately 230 million euros. The deal was criticised because the same model, the Hermes 900, is used by Israel for attacking Palestinians. Without naming specific countries, Elbit writes it also performs “programs relating to border security projects, coastal surveillance systems and integrated airport security systems for European and other governments.”

The new report also exposes another Israeli company responsible Gaza border wall surveillance It is Israeil’s BTec.

Israeli companies are the only non-European receivers of research funding (thanks to a 1996 agreement between Israel and the EU) and also have played a role in fortifying the borders of Bulgaria and Hungary, and promote their expertise based on the West Bank separation wall and the Gaza border with Egypt. Israeli firm BTec Electronic Security Systems, selected by Frontex to participate in its April 2014 workshop on ‘Border Surveillance Sensors and Platforms’, boasted in its application mail that its “technologies, solutions and products are installed on [the] Israeli-Palestinian border.”

The report states, "There is one group of interests that have only benefited from the refugee crisis, and in particular from the European Union's investment in 'securing' its borders.”

“They are the military and security companies that provide the equipment to border guards, the surveillance technology to monitor frontiers, and the IT infrastructure to track population movements."

Elbit Systems is currently targeting the most traditional O'odham communities.

The Gu-Vo District opposes this proposal. Gu-Vo is in the western most district of the Tohono O'odham Nation.

The Gu-Vo District said in a statement, "The Gu-Vo District opposes these proposed tower sites to protect cultural sites on the holy mountain now called the Ajo Mountain Range. The mountain holds human remains of our people and also places of our cultural practices (medicine bundles) home and home of the ceremonial deer and bighorn sheep and mountain tortoises that are protected under the Endangered Species Act."

"The United States government military forces, the border patrol, have not been forthcoming with impact information, such as health effects and have deliberately misinformed the people regarding the immediate environmental impacts such as the roads they will build on the mountain and installation of electrical power lines to the sites as well as that these proposed tower sites will have a 25-year or longer impact on the mountain, the animal and plant life and the O'odham lives."

Israeli Apartheid Contractors on Arizona Border: Elbit and G4S

G4S is known globally for torture, abuse of prisoners, and the imprisonment of Palestinian children

Israel's Apartheid contractor Elbit Systems received the US border contract from US Homeland Security. Elbit is now targeting Tohono O'odham burial places, on the sovereign Tohono O'odham Nation, with spy towers. Gu-Vo District has said, "NO!"

Elbit Systems is one of two corporations responsible for Apartheid security and abuse in Palestine. The other is G4S. Both are now on the Arizona border.

Ofelia Rivas, O'odham living on the border on the Tohono O'odham Nation, said, "It is outright disgusting of the US government to continue is legacy of global genocide of Indigenous Peoples, especially here on my homelands."

The global human rights abuser G4S, known for its abusive prisons, bought Wackenhut Transportation in the US. Now the G4S buses snake along the Arizona border, profiteering by detaining and transporting migrants, with a US border contract. The G4S home office is in London, England.

Both Elbit and G4S are known globally for human rights abuses. So why are these two Apartheid contractors now on the US border in Arizona?

Earlier, Wackenhut split into two companies for maximum profiteering from misery. Wackenhut split into Wackenhut Transportation, and GEO private prisons which profiteers from migrant prison dollars. Wackenhut also once operated the security around Peabody Coal on Black Mesa on the Navajo Nation.

Elbit Systems has targeted burial places on the Tohono O'odham Nation with "integrated fixed towers" for surveillance.

Responding to the proposed construction of spy towers on sacred land, Tohono O'odham in the Gu-Vo District said in a statement, "The Gu-Vo District opposes these proposed tower sites to protect cultural sites on the holy mountain now called the Ajo Mountain Range. The mountain holds human remains of our people and also places of our cultural practices (medicine bundles) home and home of the ceremonial deer and bighorn sheep and mountain tortoises that are protected under the Endangered Species Act."

US Homeland Security awarded Elbit Systems the $145 million border surveillance contract in 2014. The contract was celebrated at Elbit's home office in Israel.
