A federal court yesterday ruled that Resolution Copper, a joint venture owned by the world’s two largest mining corporations, Rio Tinto and BHP, could join a federal lawsuit alongside the United States government in its ongoing attempt to destroy Oak Flat, an ancient Apache sacred site in Arizona. The court said that Apache Stronghold, by seeking to protect Oak Flat, “is challenging a government action that would redound specifically to the benefit of Resolution [Copper],” and that Resolution Copper must be permitted to pursue its “private, profit-oriented” interest in the case.

Ox Sam Camp, Thacker Pass, Nevada -- I would like to ask all of you out there to kindly share this for my fellow sister warrior descendant, she stands here for her lineage through her great great grandfather Ox Sam whose family was massacred here at Thacker Pass also known as Peehee Muhu which is translated as Rotten Moon.

Due to recent events of her being served a TPO that is restricting her from accessing her Rights to her unmarked ancestral burial grounds and sacred site at Sentinel Rock by Lithium America Corporation. She now has to go back and forth to Winnemucca 150 miles round trip where the court is being held and conducted which adds up a lot of miles and she is still looking for a Nevada attorney preferably pro indigenous rights for her legal issues filed by Lithium America a Canadian Base Corporation. So we're kindly asking you all to share these links to try and get her all the help we can do for her and to help her along as we continue to shed light and love on the current happenings at PeeHee Muhu Ox Sam Camp. The legal hearing for Dorece, Chuck, Paul, and Max is now scheduled for Friday at 1:30 pm in Winnemucca. We're asking the court for an extension but it may not be granted. So that's our timeline for now. I'm not sure if supporters will be allowed in the courtroom, but if anyone wants to come out and support us feel free (although I wouldn't want to take people away from camp). For now, that's our deadline for legal representation. The situation is evolving. Thank you.

Surveillance Continues by Civil Air Patrol Over Home of Tohono O'odham Murdered by U.S. Border Patrol

GU VO DISTRICT, Tohono O'odham Nation -- The surveillance continued by the Arizona Civil Air Patrol this morning, Wednesday morning, over the home of Raymond Mattia, Tohono O'odham, murdered by the U.S. Border Patrol. The plane flew very low over the homes of Mattia's family members and could be seen clearly from the ground.

This morning, the Civil Air Patrol plane flew out of Sierra Vista, where the Army's Fort Huachuca is located this morning, and then flew over the home of Raymond and the homes of his family members here on the western part of the Tohono O'odham Nation. It departed Sierra Vista this morning at 6:24 am.

On Saturday, as Tohono O'odham and supporters were leaving for the protest of the Ajo Border Patrol, another Civil Air Patrol plane flew over the area, including the homes of Raymond's family. It departed from Mesa in the Phoenix area, south of Salt River, and landed south of the protest shortly before the protest began at the Ajo Border Patrol station in Why, Arizona.

Then, on Sunday morning, another Civil Air Patrol plane flew out of Tucson over the area of Raymond's home, on the western portion of the Tohono O'odham Nation.

These Civil Air Patrol planes have no recent history of patrolling this area. The Civil Air Patrol is an auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force manned by volunteers.

Tohono O'odham family and friends protested at the Ajo Border Patrol station on Saturday, demanding justice for Raymond Mattia, murdered by the U.S. Border Patrol. Three Border Patrol agents fired their weapons as Raymond was coming out the front door of his home to talk to them. Raymond's sister was on the phone with him seconds before he was shot. The family was told at the scene that Raymond was shot 38 times on May 18, 2023.
