Fifteen years before The Dawes Act became law on January 8, 1887, the U.S. Congress was having second thoughts about Indians being sovereign nations in “Indian Territory." Indian Territory was the land promised at the end of the “Trail of Tears." Today, we know it as the State of Oklahoma.

Andrew Jackson’s Indian Removal Act of 1830 was the ethnic cleansing of the Indians east of the Mississippi to their new promised land west of the Mississippi. What is wrong with this picture of a homeland supposedly protected from land-hungry whites suddenly transformed into a landscape of “Oklahoma Sooners” riding buckboards and horses galloping into Indian Territory to stake their claim?

Paiute Journalist Myron's Dewey bold photography at Standing Rock captured the faces and images of sharpshooters and militarized police, as well as security hired by Energy Transfer, owner of Dakota Access Pipeline. While Myron was exposing them, they were tracking him, from Standing Rock to Iowa, and long after the camps closed. The internal files of TigerSwan obtained by The Intercept reveal that TigerSwan documented Myron's movements and his use of drones for surveillance of police and security at Standing Rock. Mryon posted these photos on Nov. 3, 2016, at Standing Rock. Today, the driver of the truck killing Myron will be sentenced for a watered-down charge. -- Censored News

The death of Paiute journalist Myron Dewey leads to the exposure of this fact: The United States government's relentless and total disregard for the lives of Paiute and Shoshone in Nevada.

The detonation of the atomic bomb resulted in widespread cancer. Still, little has been published about the horrific damage from the strewn bombs of military bombing exercises on Walker River Paiute land which left the land "dead and unsustainable," as Crystal Miller wrote.
