US Border Patrol were 'laughing, overjoyed' when they murdered Raymond Mattia, Tohono O'odham

The Arizona Republic reports today from the Justice for Raymond Mattia press conference in Tucson.

The Tohono O’odham Nation Police Department officer present for the shooting had harassed Mattia "countless” times before the incident, according to Ophelia Rivas, a longtime friend of Mattia who lived nearby.

After the shooting, Rivas saw 13 to 14 agents picking up bullet casings near where Mattia was shot. Rivas stayed with the Mattia family near where he was killed.

The agents were laughing and carrying on like they had just done a “great deed,” Rivas said. The agents were discussing what angle they should have shot at or did shoot at, Rivas added.

“It was very disturbing to hear that," Rivas said. “They didn't hide the fact that they were really excited and overjoyed to have killed somebody.”

How many more innocent people will die at the hands of the United States government in Palestine and on Tohono Oodham Nation lands.

The US Border Patrol armed military on Oodham lands has attempted to erase the Oodham culture by destroying sacred places including burial places, ancient communities and places of great cultural significance.

The sacred places are dug up, ancient properties stolen, hills and mountains and waterways altered greatly impacting communities. How many O'odham have died at the actions of the United States armed border patrols, they continue to destroy evidence of their inhumane actions and continue to cover up their actions with threatening weapons and surveillance of the O'odham.

How many more O'odham and people crossing the lands will die at their hands. The United States government levels of corrupt and discriminating system has condoned and supports these horrendous actions by their no justice for innocent people legacy.

The United States government system supports racial discrimination, supporting the  Border Patrol killings, rape and molestation, and inhumane treatment of the innocent.

Stop the death of innocent people, support Justice for Raymond Mattia.
