"Our Land, Our Life" presents the struggle of Carrie and Mary Dann, Western Shoshone elders, addressing the threat mining development poses to the sacred and environmentally sensitive lands of Crescent Valley, Nevada. The sisters battled the BLM in an effort to protect their horses and cows from US government seizure, and battled Barrick Gold destroying sacred land of the Western Shoshone. Mary passed in a ranch accident, but Carrie still lives in her homeland. (25 minutes)

Uranium open-pit mined in the sacred He Sapa by “America” and its collaborator, Tennessee Valley Authority gave “America” its nuclear bombs while it poisoned all the rivers and lands for hundreds of miles around, forever. Fukushima is part of the “American” dream, just like Hiroshima and Nagasaki was. Now the oceans and Her babies are poisoned forever. Forever is a long time.

International Rights of Nature Tribunal – Paris

YES! We on for December 4 -5 in Paris at Maison des Métallos

The current ecological crisis requires that we transform our international and domestic legal systems to nurture, rather than allow the destruction of the Earth community.  

The International Rights of Nature Tribunal will meet at Maison des Métallos in Paris on 4th and 5th of December, in conjunction with UN Framework Convention on Climate Change UNFCCC COP21. The Tribunal is a unique, citizen-created initiative.  It gives people from all around the world the opportunity to testify publicly as to the destruction of the Earth — destruction that governments and corporations not only allow, but in some cases encourage.
