John Sitarek said on Twitter, "Members of Camp Morgan that set up a blockade at Brady landfill cleaned off the debris dumped on the mural. Diane Bousque one of about a dozen people who helped paint it recently said "No matter what you throw on us… we're always going to create something beautiful."

WINNIPEG, Manitoba -- Native defenders and family members of the victims are demanding a search of landfills for murdered Indigenous women. They established Camp Morgan at the Brady Road landfill, after remains of murdered Indigenous women were found here, and set up a barricade on the road Thursday after the city refused to search for murdered Indigenous women at a second landfill.

Manitoba chiefs are bringing an emergency resolution for the AFN to call on Ottawa to fund the landfill searches for missing First Nations women, and urge Manitoba to reconsider decision not to search.

The City of Winnipeg filed for an injunction late Tuesday to remove the Camp Morgan road barricade. Protectors said they will not leave until the landfill is searched for murdered Native women. I Heart Radio

TUCSON -- A congressional report details the billions of dollars that the U.S. gives Israel. The report of the flow of money and weapons from the U.S. to Israel includes Elbit Systems, which constructed the spy towers, located on the Tohono O'odham Nation, and the weapons defense system for Israel that is manufactured at Raytheon Missiles in Tucson. 

With U.S. funding and weapons in July, Israel carried out the most devastating military offensive on the Jenin refuge camp in the West Bank in about 20 years.

Chief Na’moks, Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs, told the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights that the Hereditary Chiefs govern their land. Describing the widespread violations of human rights, Na'moks said the governments of B.C. and Canada destroyed their burial places. B.C. and Canada are issuing illegal permits on Wet'suwet'en land for pipelines. Pointing out that band council representatives are only elected for a period of time, Na'moks said, "We are hereditary chiefs for life." He said the governments of B.C. and Canada have carried out an invasion of Wet'suwet'en land. Na'Moks said he has been threatened with arrest and no longer travels alone out of concern for his safety.
