In the Dirty Business of Faking Green, a Third Arizona Tribe Sues Deb Haaland for Desecration

In the dirty business of faking green energy, Interior Department head Deb Haaland is being sued by the Hualapai Tribe for approval of a lithium mine targeting their sacred spring. It is the same lithium mine where an Australian company has hired the head of a Navajo Nation enterprise to lead the drilling for lithium and violating the sacred.

Deb Haaland, Laguna Pueblo, is now being sued by three tribes in Arizona for ongoing destruction of religious and historic places, sacred places where Tohono O'odham, San Carlos Apache, and Hualapai have offered their prayers since time immemorial.

CONFEDERATED VILLAGES of LISJAN NATION -- On August 8th, the Apache Stronghold gathered with the Confederated Villages of Lisjan Nation for prayers. We were welcomed with open arms to the sacred site of the Lisjan people. Corrina Gould, the leader of the Confederated Villages of Lisjan Nation spoke about the history of the site.

On the Prayer Journey to the Supreme Court, Apache found the gates locked to people of prayer at the Paiute Massacre Site in northern Nevada. The Canadian company Lithium Americas is digging into the Paiute Massacre Site for lithium, in violation of federal laws. The foreign company is enabled by a permit from the U.S. government and supported by Interior Sec. Deb Haaland. -- Censored News.

No Haul! Uprising! Hopi and Navajo Host Music and Resistance in Tuba City

 

UPRISING! Tuba City, Arizona

On Saturday, August 10th, 5 p.m. Hopi/Arizona Time (6 pm Navajo Nation/Tuba City time), Cloud Mountain Arts will host a five hour rockout/community educational event in opposition to Energy Fuel’s hauling of radioactive material through the lands of Havasupai, Hopi, Navajo, and Ute Nations. The show will be held at the Legacy Room at the Moencopi Legacy Inn in Tuba City and will feature performances by Indigenous musicians: Nava-Hopi metal sensation Icy Whisper Official, Dine/Apache singer/songwriter Sage Bond, Hopi rockers Descendant and a special performance from ROADKILL made up of members of Tha Yoties and Innastate.

A history of the Pueblo Revolt of 1680 will be shared, as well education about uranium mining and transport on Native lands of the Colorado Plateau with admonitions to stand together against the desecration of Indigenous lands.
