Manitoba chiefs are bringing an emergency resolution for the AFN to call on Ottawa to fund the landfill searches for missing First Nations women, and urge Manitoba to reconsider decision not to search.

The AMC is also concerned about the injunction imposed on the Camp Morgan blockade, hindering efforts to seek justice for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2Spirit (MMIWG2S+) in Manitoba.

TUCSON -- A congressional report details the billions of dollars that the U.S. gives Israel. The report of the flow of money and weapons from the U.S. to Israel includes Elbit Systems, which constructed the spy towers, located on the Tohono O'odham Nation, and the weapons defense system for Israel that is manufactured at Raytheon Missiles in Tucson. 

With U.S. funding and weapons in July, Israel carried out the most devastating military offensive on the Jenin refuge camp in the West Bank in about 20 years.

Chief Na’moks, Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs, told the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights that the Hereditary Chiefs govern their land. Describing the widespread violations of human rights, Na'moks said the governments of B.C. and Canada destroyed their burial places. B.C. and Canada are issuing illegal permits on Wet'suwet'en land for pipelines. Pointing out that band council representatives are only elected for a period of time, Na'moks said, "We are hereditary chiefs for life." He said the governments of B.C. and Canada have carried out an invasion of Wet'suwet'en land. Na'Moks said he has been threatened with arrest and no longer travels alone out of concern for his safety.

July 8, 2023. Ayonwaehs – War Chief of the Mohawks, Ateronhiatakon – Francis Boots, Snipe Clan, 73, peacefully passed away on July 5th, 2023. He will be presented at the Kanienkehaka Kaianerehkowa Kanonsesne [longhouse] located at 570 Route 37 in Akweswasne, starting on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 2pm, until the funeral service on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 10:00 am. Burial will take place at the Jocks Cemetery on 136B Jock Road in Akwesasne [NYS]. Funeral arrangements are with Donaldson’s Funeral Home. Donations can be made to the Kanienkehaka Kaianerehkowa Kanonsesne.
