Today Censored News shares photos of the 21st Annual Ward Valley Spiritual Gathering, with photos by Ofelia Rivas. In our article earlier, Steve Lopez, Mojave, tells how the Ward Valley Occupation was designed as a blueprint for occupations to save Sacred Lands. In this monumental Occupation in the Mojave Desert, home to the Desert Tortoise, even the water had to be hauled in. Steve tells how the Bird Songs helped save the land from becoming a nuclear waste dump. His words are from the movie, "Trespassing" which was censored at most film festivals in the U.S. It was an honor to be there in the Mojave Desert at the Occupation with all of you so many years ago. -- Brenda Norrell, Censored News https://bsnorrell.blogspot.com/2018/02/mojave-steve-lopez-ward-valley-direct.html
