A video published by the ‘Israeli’ Foreign Ministry showing environmental activist Greta Thunberg being arrested after several vessels of the Sumud Flotilla were hijacked by the ‘Israeli’ Navy.
The “Mango” vessel is now under the same attack as other flotilla vessels, facing water cannons and blinding lights from an Israeli warship, joining the Alma, Adara, Sirius, Yulara, Karma, Meteque, Ohwayla, and Jeanotte III.

Previous update -- About 20 unknown vessels are ahead of the Global Sumud Flotilla, an emergency alert has gone out. 1:30 pm New York time, Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025
Ariadne Telles, human rights lawyer from the Amazon in Brazil, said Israel is preparing to kidnap those onboard the flotilla. Israel said it plans to fly out those who agree to be deported from the Negev Desert. For those who do not want to give up their rights of re-entry, it will mean prison. Ariadne said imprisoning those who have been kidnapped will be a violation of international law and the Geneva Conventions, and will force governments to act to protect their own citizens. Ariadne spoke in a live feed from the Global Sumud Flotilla.
The flotilla is carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza, and a message of hope to the world, the belief in the people to rise up and make a difference

The Global Sumud Flotilla is still sailing after a night of harassment. Onboard are Indigenous Peoples, the grandson of Nelson Mandela, Greta Thunberg, and members of European Parliament, sailing with humanitarian aid for Gaza and hope.
Meanwhile, another flotilla set sail from Italy, with the Mohawk Warrior and Anishinaabe flags flying, after being bombed. Indigenous women from the far north are departing from Italy, while Indigenous women from the Amazon are aboard the Global Flotilla near Gaza.
The Global Sumud Flotilla was above Egypt last night and as it neared Gaza, and sent out distress calls as unknown ships trailed.
"We are now 118 nautical miles from Gaza -- just 8NM from where the Madleen was intercepted."
"In the night we faced intimidation: An Israeli military vessel circled the Alma and Sirius boats, launched a cyber attack, which created a lot of damage to our devices and we continue to have navigation connectivity issues."
"Still, we sail on."
"This is the largest attempt ever to break the siege -- 41 boats strong, backed by international law and the will of the world’s people. We remain committed to non-violence and to creating a People’s Humanitarian Corridor -- a lifeline for Gaza."
"The international community has entrusted us with this mission, and we will not fail."
The Global Flotilla crews say they were sabotaged by Italy, who pulled out its Navy ship when they needed it the most. Dock workers in Italy say they will shut down Italy again if Israel strikes and seizes the Global Sumud Flotilla boats and crews.
Italy's government called for the Flotilla to halt, unload and transfer its supplies, a demand that the flotilla called "sabotage."
Spain appears to have also withdrawn its Navy ship as the Global Flotilla enters the 150 nautical mile barrier, the so-called "exclusion zone," set by Israel. However, Turkish ships continue to accompany the flotilla today, Wednesday.
Journalist Iara Modarelli, onboard from Barcelona, Spain, said, "The warships escorting us while warning us to 'turn back' and 'not endanger ourselves' are no different from countries recognizing a Palestinian state while they fund the ongoing genocide.
"Nothing but empty gestures -- a performative, vapid publicity stunt.
"We’re by ourselves."
The Navy warships of Italy and Spain began accompanying the flotilla after it was hit with explosives and chemicals off the shore of Crete.

| "We are at sea, finally!" Mskwaasin Agnew, Cree/Dene, |
Meanwhile, the Conscience launched in Italy yesterday.
"We are at sea, finally!" Mskwaasin Agnew, Cree/Dene, said, in a live broadcast from aboard the Conscience, a larger vessel made up of about 100 health care workers and journalists.
"It is actually amazing that the Conscience is sailing again. It was bombed last May in Malta," she said. Before that it was stuck in a port in Turkey, because the vessel had lost its flag, and the Turkish people in solidarity with Palestine blockaded the port until the boat was allowed to leave.
"There is an amazing crew here, amazing health care workers. And it is also Truth and Reconciliation Day in so-called Canada," she said. "Not only were my grandparents robbed of their childhoods -- but the children of Palestine have had their childhoods stolen." Continue reading at Censored News:

To of the Global Sumud Flotilla
Know that it’s not only the sea awaiting your arrival, but all of Gaza watching the horizon for your ships. The journey may not be easy, but the moment you set sail, you already broke the siege --- your sails carry the voice of freedom echoing in our hearts.
Sail with peace of mind, here in Gaza, we are waiting for you with prayers, with love, and with the certainty that victory is closer than we think."

| The Global Sumud Flotilla's Participants |
The Global Flotilla said, "After a night of intimidation tactics by the Israeli Military, we can confirm that our Flotilla participants remained calm and followed all appropriate safety procedures.
"Our resilience and commitment carried us through the darkness. Far from deterring us, these threats have only strengthened our determination to continue. We sail on with renewed resolve to break the siege, deliver aid, and uphold our mission of non-violent solidarity with the people of Gaza."
"Everyone is currently safe. We are beyond the point where the Madleen was intercepted. Still, we remain vigilant."

Nelson Mandela's grandson is onboard
Nkosi Zwelivelile “Mandla” Mandela, speaks with Democracy Now! from the Global Sumud Flotilla.
"We, as the delegation from South Africa, joined the Global Sumud Flotilla from the southern tip of Africa, going to the northern tip of Africa in Tunisia, because we wanted to come together, united as Africans, to sail under one mission with the other participants who had sailed from Barcelona."
"But for us, this Global Sumud Flotilla is about the unity of Africans, but also the Global South coming together with the Global North in standing and showing its solidarity towards the Palestinian cause."
"We, therefore, are in the Mediterranean Sea with about 50 boats that are sailing to Gaza in a means to break the blockade and end the siege that has been ongoing for the past 17 years." Continue reading at Democracy Now! https://www.democracynow.org/2025/9/30/sumud_flotilla
