Energy Fuels is being investigated for insider trading

House Democrats are investigating the uranium mining company Energy Fuels for alleged insider trading.
The investigation centers on whether Energy Fuels executives received privileged information about Trump’s planned slashing of Bears Ears National Monument before the news became public, and if they used that information to purchase stock in their own business. The company said in a statement provided to KNAU that it "strongly rejects any suggestion that the Company or its executives engaged in any improper conduct.”
Energy Fuels CEO Ross Bhappu bought 74,000 shares of stock in his own company on July 7. Chairman of the Board Bruce Hansen bought 4,000 shares on July 8. Five days after that, Trump announced the Bears Ears reduction, opening the area up for new uranium mining.

Energy Fuels deadly operation begins at the uranium mine in the Grand Canyon, and endangers Havasupai, Hopi, Navajo and Ute as it recklessly hauls radioactive uranium ore in trucks at high speeds, covered only with tarps, to Utah. Two of the trucks have already been in highway accidents on the Navajo Nation.
