Photos by Longwalker Western Shoshone Carl Bad Bear Sampson. Bad Bear and walkers thanked Fort Duchesne for their kindness and hospitality and for hosting Longest Walk 2019 for two nights, along with the Treatment Center and the Veterans Powwow.
Bad Bear said, "Thank you Red Pine Treatment Center, Fort Duchesne, Utah, for hosting us Longwalkers for two days, with kindness and strength from the community, cultural ways, sweat lodge and Veterans Powwow."
Today walkers are near Green River, Utah, walking to Grand Junction, then Pueblo, Colorado, on the coast to coast walk for Indigenous rights.
