Mexico's police were deployed to the border of the Tohono O'odham Nation on Wednesday, after being requested by U.S. Homeland Security, for the protection of the border wall construction crews who invaded sovereign Tohono O'odham Nation land with a drilling rig. This is the vehicle barrier on the Tohono O'odham Nation. What you don't see are the 10 spy towers, constructed by Israel's Elbit Systems on tribal land. They are equipped with live surveillance and US Border Patrol uses those to stalk O'odham on their homeland. Most of the spy towers, integrated fixed towers, are along the border on tribal land and the others are on the interior of the Tohono O'odham Nation.
O'odham ancestral land is on both sides of the so-called border.
