O'odham Women Join Tree Sit and Shut Down Border Wall Construction in Lochiel, Arizona
Federal agents shut down the prayer camp on the Tohono O'odham Nation at the border. Now O'odham women have joined the frontline land defenders at the tree sit in Lochiel, Arizona, east of Nogales.
Tohono O'odham Nation's drone coverage shows contractors setting up the drill rig, which immediately began drilling.

The land defenders have blocked heavy equipment with their bodies, blocked the road with a barricade, and shut down border wall construction, at the bi-national peaceful protest in Lochiel.
Federal Agents Swarm Sovereign Tohono O'odham Nation for Border Wall Construction
Federal agents violated the Tohono O'odham Nation's sovereignty in a heavy-handed invasion as they escorted in border wall contractors. Those federal agents included U.S. Border Patrol special ops called BORTAC based in El Paso; US Border Patrol agents from Tucson, and BIA agents.
The swarm of federal agents escorted border wall contractors on to sovereign Tohono O'odham Nation land. This driller immediately set up the rig and began drilling on tribal land. Tribal police were blocked and prevented from issuing citations to the contractors.

The Tohono O'odham Nation posted 'NO TRESPASSING' signs at its borders, which federal agents and construction contractors ignored during its invasion of tribal land.

Arizona Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva urges the Department of Homeland Security and the Interior Department to immediately halt construction until real consultation occurs, and Congress is fully informed. In a letter, Grijalva said this applies to both the Tohono O'odham Nation and adjacent ancestral O'odham land.
Meanwhile on the border in Lochiel, the brave block border wall heavy equipment.
