Parallel Massacres: From the Zapatistas to Wounded Knee and Gaza -- Censored News Most Censored 2023

The weapons flow and its tentacles in Indian country are among the most censored

By Brenda Norrell, Censored News, Dec. 30, 2023

A delegation of Native human rights defenders went to Chiapas as human shields during the military assassinations of Zapatistaas in the jungle highlands near Ocosingo in 1995. Strewn on the ground were the shell casings marked "Made in the U.S.A." Now, in Gaza, this chilling image returns.

On Friday, the same day that South Africa launched its case of crimes of genocide by Israel at the International Court of Justice -- the Biden administration bypassed the U.S. Congress for a second time, and sent more weapons to Israel to continue the war crimes and genocide.

Elbit Systems in Israel is a top provider of weapons -- surveillance and deadly drones -- to Israel. Elbit built the spy towers, integrated fixed towers, on the Tohono O'odham Nation and all along the Arizona border. The Israeli spy towers now provide the crime-infested U.S. Border Patrol with live surveillance.

The war crimes and genocide would not be possible without the complicity of the U.S. media. The censorship and oppression of students for Palestine at Arizona's largest universities, the University of Arizona Tucson, and Arizona State University at Tempe, are among the most censored in 2023.

The United States has delivered 10,000 tons of military equipment to Israel in 244 US cargo planes and 20 ships, The Times of Israel reported on Christmas Day.

Gaza has become a graveyard for children, the United Nations said.

Most Censored: The Interior's Role in the Violation of All Federal Laws, while a  Canadian Mining Company Digs into the Paiute Massacre Site

The Most Censored in 2023: The Interior Department's role in the violation of the sacred at Peehee Mu'huh, Thacker Pass, in northern Nevada. Two Native reporters showed up to cover the story in northern Nevada, Jarrette Werk, Gros Ventre, at Underscore News, and Brandi Morin, Cree, from Canada.

The ongoing lithium mining violates all federal laws created to protect Native sacred places; the water and endangered species. Lithium Americas is a Canadian company that did not show a profit in 2022. The horrific attack on the sacred included the arrest of Paiute and Shoshone defenders of this sacred land and violations of the Sacred Eagle Staff by Lithium Americas' private security. Interior Sec. Deb Haaland told AP that she supports the lithium mining, now gouging into the Paiute Massacre Site.

Mohawk Mothers: The Court Battle for the Search of Unmarked Graves at the CIA Torture Hospital in Montreal

The Most Censored in 2023: Mohawk Mothers continue their battle in court for the search of unmarked graves at McGill University, the site of the CIA's MK Ultra torture and mind control experiments in Montreal, Canada. Mohawk Mothers are representing themselves using the Great Law.

The Most Censored: The Oppression of Voices for Palestine in U.S. Universities

The Most Censored in 2023: The oppression of voices in support of Palestine in U.S. universities. Rutgers University refused to bend to the pressure of a U.S. Congressman and thousands of e-mails. But afterward, the Biden administration hit the school with a "civil rights" investigation -- a threat to withdraw funding ---and Rutgers shut down Students for Justice in Palestine. Listen to the presentation by three professors, voices that were not stopped, including Lakota Nick Estes.

Most Censored: Solidarity of Mohawks, Dine' and Lakota with refugees in Palestine, as revealed in film: Resulting in a McCarthyism-style reaction, and placement on the U.S. government hit list for universities

Wikileaks exposed U.S. State Dept. cables revealing illegal wiretaps of Mohawks, and that Mohawks were the most spied on, and feared, of all those targeted. Censored News

The Most Censored in 2023: The solidarity between Mohawks, Dine' and Lakota, and refugees in Palestine, as shown in a series of films is drawing a McCarthyism-type response from politicians and war profiteers. Wikileaks exposed the fact that the Mohawks and Mapuche in Chinle were the most spied on by the U.S. government.

The U.S. government launched a "civil rights" investigation into Rutgers University on the same day, Dec. 11, 2023, that the film, 'Spaces of Exception' was shown. The producers have co-edited a new book on the Mohawk Warrior Society.

The film series begins with Lakotas on Pine Ridge and continues with Dine' battling Peabody Coal on Black Mesa in Arizona, Standing Rock Water Protectors resisting the Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota and Akwesasne Mohawk at the so-called northern border.

The New McCarthyism

The U.S. government's new hit list for students supporting Palestine. The "civil rights" investigations come with the threat of the loss of funds to the school, including student loan funds. Rutgers University in New Jersey suspended the group Students for Justice in Palestine, after being advised of the investigation.

Solidarity from the Banks of Wounded Knee Creek
The Red Warrior Society said, "We must remember that centuries ago, the U.S. military's goal was to eradicate Indigenous communities and lifeways by establishing the Bureau of Indian Affairs in 1824. Two hundred years later, the U.S. is funding Israel’s military force to eradicate the Palestinians."

The Cover-up of the Murder of Tohono O'odham Raymond Mattia

Raymond Mattia, Tohono O'odham, murdered
in front of his home on the Tohono O'odham Nation,
in a hail of gunfire by Tohono O'odham Nation police
and U.S. Border Patrol agents.

The Most Censored in 2023: Why is the Tohono O'odham Nation government concealing the vendetta and involvement of a tribal police officer in the murder of Raymond Mattia. The federal prosecutors are part of the cover-up and refuse to press charges. Attorneys for the family provide the details of Raymond's murder, details mangled by the news media in 2023.

The Massacre at Wounded Knee

The Oomaka Tokatakiya riders rode into Wounded Knee on Friday, one hundred and thirty-three years after the Massacre of Wounded Knee. On December 29, 1890, hundreds of Lakota people were shot by the US 7th Cavalry at Wounded Knee Creek in SD. After the massacre by U.S. soldiers, natives lie dead in the snow, frozen for three days, until being buried in a mass grave.

Alex White Plume is Oglala Lakota and one of the founders of the Wounded Knee Bigfoot Memorial Ride (South Dakota), which was started in 1986. The nation needed a Wiping of the Tears ceremony after the massacre at Wounded Knee in 1890. The ride began because of the way our people were living; they needed change and a way that brought awareness to what happened to Bigfoot and his people at Wounded Knee. Between 1986-1990, the ride was a Wiping of the Tears ceremony for the Lakota nation. There were 19 riders on the very first ride in 1986 from Bridger, SD to Wounded Knee, SD. The ride was called the Future Generation Ride after 1990, when the Wiping of the Tears ceremony ended.

South Africa Launches Genocide Complaint at International Court of Justice

Israel has dropped more than 25,000 tons of explosives on the Gaza Strip since the start of its large-scale war on 7 October, equivalent to two nuclear bombs, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor reported in November. The bombing by Israel using U.S. funds and weapons has intensified.

Now 107 journalists have been assassinated using funds and weapons provided by the United States

The Pentagon announced that Secretary of State Antony Blinken has approved $147.5 million worth of M107 155mm artillery munitions, to Israel, bypassing Congress approval by activating a national emergency.

The Washington Post documented that the white phosphorus used by Israel came from the United States. It is a war crime.

The bombing of hospitals, refugee camps, homes of media and doctors, and United Nations schools are war crimes using U.S. funds and weapons.
