PINE RIDGE, Oglala Sioux Nation -- Oglala Sioux President Julian Bear Runner said if the man camps and oil pipelines come here and encroach on Oglala land, they will have to run over him because he is willing to die as his ancestors did.
President Bear Runner's words were the battle cry, the call to action, before Tokatawin Iron Eyes, Lakota, and Greta Thunberg spoke out for Mother Earth on Pine Ridge, in the heart of Native resistance.
Then, these two 16-year-olds woke up the world.

The Israeli defense contractor Elbit Systems -- responsible for Apartheid security and building the wall in Palestine -- plans to begin constructing Israeli spy towers -- integrated fixed towers -- on the Tohono O'odham Nation during October.
The Gu-Vo District opposes these spy towers by resolution, but the elected Tohono O'odham government has approved them.
Reporter Will Parrish said the plan includes Israeli soldiers to train U.S. Border Patrol in the use of the cyber tower surveillance. The U.S. recently increased Elbit's contract by another $26 million, according to Elbit Systems in Israel.
The spy towers are planned for traditional O'odham communities where O'odham women and elderly are already the targets of constant U.S. Border Patrol surveillance, harassment, and abuse.

There was a long interview with U.S. Border Patrol agents on a local Tucson news station last night. A long commercial for the Border Patrol. Commercials and self-aggrandizing are not news. It is not a public service. Where were the photos of those murdered by U.S. Border Patrol agents? Where are the photos of the stalking of O'odham women and elderly and the pulling guns on them? Where were the photos of the constant unnecessary targeting and harassing of volunteers giving aid? Where were the photos of raids and arrests of volunteers giving life-saving water? Where were the videos of Border Patrol destroying life-saving gallons of water? Where was the info on the large number of U.S. Border Patrol and ICE agents arrested for running drugs and serving as spotters for the cartels? Where were the photos of the Mexican and Tohono O'odham youths who have shot, murdered, and intentionally ran over by the U.S. Border Parol? Save the commercials for the ads, report the facts on Border Patrol in each and every broadcast. -- Brenda Norrell, Censored News
