Sisters, brothers, and hermanoas:

I greet you in the name of the children, women, them, elders and men of the Zapatista communities, and I communicate to you the following:

First.- We already have a strong Zapatista airborne company of 177 Zapatistas ready. It is made up in its totality by nativeso f Mayan roots, from the Cho’ol, Tzotzil, Tzeltal, Tojolabal and Castilian languages. We were born in the geography called Mexico. Our ancestors were born and died in these lands. As the Mexican State does not recognize our identity and origin, and tells us that we are “extemporaneous” (so says the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, that we are “extemporaneous” Mexicans), we have decided to baptize this unit of Listening and Word [Escucha y Palabra] as “The Extemporaneous.”

by Nataanii Means, Dineh/Lakota from Chinle, Navajo Nation

PARIS -- Nataanii Means, Dineh/Lakota, and Rachel Heaton, Muckleshoot, spoke to the shareholders of Société General, BNP, and Nataxis banks in Paris.

Nataanii Means said, “Rachel and I were the only ones allowed in with our translators. We were met with derogatory yelling, boo's, and confrontation. When we stated that these banks and their investments into overseas pipelines directly affect my people and community, people began to make so much noise meant to muffle our voices while we were speaking. We were treated with unbelievable disrespect.”

“This is what my cousin Wasté Win Young said: "This is what we are up against here. Similarly, it is what those who want to protect unči maka are up against world wide. It's not all fun and games. There are no cameras allowed in those meetings otherwise we would put blastation to the nation up. It is legit getting "gobdah'd"--putting our experiences out there and getting fed to the sharks. Must be thick skinned and ready to duel. Naye FR though. There are genuine people who listen that have the power to change things and those are the ones we need to get to, those are the targets--in a good way they said. Never been so happy to leave Pairee.”

Nataanii said, “I saw first hand the evil. This is a huge fight. We have to go from all angles. I never felt rage like that before. They had security at my side at all times too. Even followed me to the bathroom. I am not the threat here. Your investments are!”

Thank you to Rachel Heaton, Nataaanii Means, Waste Win Young, Rafaeal Gonzales, Paris supporters , water protectors, and photographers for sharing with Censored News.

Standing Rock Water Protector European Tour and Schedule

From May 20th till June 14th, some activists of the Standing Rock’s movement will come to Europe for a solidarity tour called “Stand Up With Standing Rock”.
In Standing Rock, North Dakota, United States, the so called “water protectors” fought against the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL). Thanks to months of non-violent resistance gathering people from all over the country and from various backgrounds, they put a stop to the project during the Obama administration. But as Trump got the presidency, he decided to defend his own financial interest by sending the army to evacuate the Oceti Sakowin camp, build in the pipeline route. One month after, the oil was flowing inside the pipeline. But the fight is not over, as the water protectors took care of spreading it all over the Turtle Island (North America) and are now willing to spread it all over the world.

Native Solidarity Tour Europe May 20 -- June 14, 2017

Native Activists Head to Europe for Solidarity Tour

By Last Real Indians

For the Stand Up With Standing Rock tour, Rachel Heaton, Nataanii Means, Wašté Win Young and Rafael Gonzales, will carry the voices of the water protectors to various parts of Europe: Paris, Brussels, the Netherlands, Cologne/Bonn, Geneva, Barcelona and Madrid.
Their passage through Europe will be the occasion to demand that European banks divest from an array of projects which are devastating for the climate and violate the First Nations Rights (the DAPL being one of them); and to show once again the European peoples’ firm opposition to Trump’s criminal climate policies. With non-violent actions of civil disobedience, conferences, debates, and also hip-hop concerts, informal exchanges and conviviality, the tour aims to participate in the building of a global force which commits itself to climate justice, and to oppose fascism and neoliberalism.
During the tour, the water protectors will participate in a lot of special events. In Paris, they will attend the shareholders assemblies of the big French banks who are funding the DAPL to ask them to divest and will held a conference on May 22th at la Bourse du Travail at 7:30pm.
In Brussels, they will participate in the big march against Trump on May 24th starting at 5pm in the North Station and on May 25th in the morning at the Peace Rally ” No to NATO – People not war”, a peacefull gathering in front of the NATO summit. They will also take part in a solidarity action and public event in areas affected by earthquakes in Grongingen before engaging in a cultural event on June 2nd in Amsterdam.
In Germany, on June 4th at 2 pm, a public tour is organised to the hambacher forest occupation against the expansion of the lignite Coal mine. In Geneva, Swiss people will be invited by Standing Rock water defenders to demand Credit Suisse divestment and to give voice to first nations in the UN Special Session on Corporate Responsibility. After a meeting with representatives of human rights and environmental Spain-based organisations, DAPL divestment will be the centre of a conference on June 9th in Madrid.
Rachel Heaton will participate to the Fearless Cities Meeting organized by the Spanish municipalist movement from June 9th to June 11th in Barcelona. Other stops may be still added to this tour, stay tuned!

New Report: Israeli Arms Dealer Profits from Migrant Misery on Tohono O'odham Nation

Arms Dealers profit from the wars they fuel and then again with border surveillance and migrant misery

Israeli arms dealer Elbit, protested in UK and around the world, is now targeting
Tohono O'odham burial grounds with Israeli/US spy towers. Elbit is responsible
for Apartheid security and drones in Palestine.

This inhumane 'cage' was used for migrant detention in 2007 on the Tohono O'odham Nation, where temperatures can exceed 115 degrees. An Indigenous delegation, including Mohawks, were shocked by the cage in use by the Tohono O'odham Nation and US Border Patrol. Lenny Foster, Navajo, said, "It is no more than a dog cage." A new report exposes the arms dealers profiting from migrant misery and border surveillance, including the Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit Systems which is now targeting the Tohono O’odham Nation with Israeli/US spy towers.

On the western Tohono O’odham Nation, Gu-Vo District has said, ‘No!’ to the integrated fixed towers. "These U.S. proposed towers also are not on the border but in our communities and on the border of the Tohono O'odham Nation reiterating discrimination and deliberate attack on the O'odham," said O’odham’s Gu-Vo District.

Israel’s Elbit Systems, awarded the US border contract by Homeland Security, is exposed in a new report “Border Wars: The Arms Dealers Profiting from Europe’s Refugee Tragedy.”

Arms dealers and border surveillance profiteers are exposed as benefiting from the wars that they fuel, and the migrant misery they create, states the report released jointly by the European Stop Wapenhandel and Transnational Institute on Monday.

The new report states:

Most perverse of all, it shows that some of the beneficiaries of border security contracts are some of the biggest arms sellers to the Middle-East and North-African region, fuelling the conflicts that are the cause of many of the refugees. In other words, the companies creating the crisis are then profiting from it.

While exposing the arms dealers in Europe profiteering from the refugee tragedy, the new report also exposes Elbit’s role in Palestine and on the Arizona border.

The new report states:

Israel's Elbit has already constructed
US/Israeli spy towers this year on the Arizona
border in the Nogales area. The Tohono
O'odham Nation is now targeted.
Major, and often controversial, deals in the border security field include the Finmecannica-deal with Libya, as well as the US Secure Borders Initiative. This initiative included a billion-dollar contract with Boeing, to build a border security network along the northern and southern borders of the United States. The project was plagued by severe (technological and legal) problems and was finally cancelled. It was partially replaced by a smaller project ($145 million), for which Israeli arms producer Elbit built a network of surveillance towers on the border between Mexico and Arizona. As in Europe, the militarisation of the US border with Mexico has been criticised by human rights organisations because of its negative impacts on refugees rights and the way it forces refugees to use more dangerous routes to avoid border enforcement.

The report also exposes how Elbit drones are used by Israel to attack Palestinians. This comes as Native Americans are speaking out in support of Palestinians and speaking out in opposition to Israel and Border Apartheid.

The report states:

In 2015, Switzerland ordered six UAVs from Elbit for surveillance missions by border guards, for approximately 230 million euros. The deal was criticised because the same model, the Hermes 900, is used by Israel for attacking Palestinians. Without naming specific countries, Elbit writes it also performs “programs relating to border security projects, coastal surveillance systems and integrated airport security systems for European and other governments.”

The new report also exposes another Israeli company responsible Gaza border wall surveillance It is Israeil’s BTec.

Israeli companies are the only non-European receivers of research funding (thanks to a 1996 agreement between Israel and the EU) and also have played a role in fortifying the borders of Bulgaria and Hungary, and promote their expertise based on the West Bank separation wall and the Gaza border with Egypt. Israeli firm BTec Electronic Security Systems, selected by Frontex to participate in its April 2014 workshop on ‘Border Surveillance Sensors and Platforms’, boasted in its application mail that its “technologies, solutions and products are installed on [the] Israeli-Palestinian border.”

The report states, "There is one group of interests that have only benefited from the refugee crisis, and in particular from the European Union's investment in 'securing' its borders.”

“They are the military and security companies that provide the equipment to border guards, the surveillance technology to monitor frontiers, and the IT infrastructure to track population movements."

Elbit Systems is currently targeting the most traditional O'odham communities.

The Gu-Vo District opposes this proposal. Gu-Vo is in the western most district of the Tohono O'odham Nation.

The Gu-Vo District said in a statement, "The Gu-Vo District opposes these proposed tower sites to protect cultural sites on the holy mountain now called the Ajo Mountain Range. The mountain holds human remains of our people and also places of our cultural practices (medicine bundles) home and home of the ceremonial deer and bighorn sheep and mountain tortoises that are protected under the Endangered Species Act."

"The United States government military forces, the border patrol, have not been forthcoming with impact information, such as health effects and have deliberately misinformed the people regarding the immediate environmental impacts such as the roads they will build on the mountain and installation of electrical power lines to the sites as well as that these proposed tower sites will have a 25-year or longer impact on the mountain, the animal and plant life and the O'odham lives."

"The Gu-Vo District communities landscape have already been greatly impacted by numerous unauthorized roads and destruction of our mountains and hills of great significance to the O'odham way of life. Our future generations will face more restriction to live on our original lands as our rights as original Indigenous peoples continue to deteriorate."

"These U.S. proposed towers also are not on the border but in our communities and on the border of the Tohono O'odham Nation reiterating discrimination and deliberate attack on the O'odham," said Gu-Vo District.

Operation Chaos targeted American Indian Movement

In 1967 President Johnson created Operation Chaos to spy on the American Indian Movement, Black Panthers, student movements and anti-war movements.

The CIA operation gathered documents on 7,200 US citizens, tracking their contacts with so-called 'dissidents' in other countries.

Although a great deal has been exposed about COINTELPRO, very little has been written about Operation Chaos.

There is only one mention of Operation Chaos spying on the American Indian Movement in Wikileaks, and the document is not available online.

However, other documents on the Internet reveal the purpose of Operation Chaos, a highly classified, secret intelligence project of the CIA.

Agents targeted US activists interaction with people in other countries, stating they were suspicious that the unrest at home was coming from abroad. However, in the end, agents discovered there was plenty of unrest originating within the US, including the movement against the Vietnam War.

The agents were segregated from other CIA agents and the first targets were the Peace Movements and African American movements. Then, the American Indian Movement and occupiers of Wounded Knee were targeted.

The report below reveals how the CIA exceeded its authority with domestic spying of Operation Chaos in the 60s and 70s.

AIM focus of US government spying prior to Wounded Knee

American Indians involved in the anti-war movement were targeted by spying during the 1960s and 1970s. The US carried out domestic operations, as revealed when the US targeted Buffy Sainte Marie. There were also foreign operations, which focused on AIM and travel to Europe.

During an interview at Dine' College, Buffy Sainte Marie said President Johnson put her out of the music business because of her stance against the Vietnam war and song, 'Universal Soldier.

The US cables reveal that the State Department was focused on spying on Russell Means.

The US State Department took notice and sent out a cable when Russell Means, Lakota, said a delegation to Eastern Europe planned to "ram the human rights issue down President Carter's throat." https://wikileaks.org/plusd/cables/1977STATE226024_c.html

Means promised to expose the genocide of American Indians in Europe and seek support for the ongoing "foreign occupation" in the US. The US was also concerned that the delegation to Europe in 1977 would use "Iroquois passports," according to the US spy cable.

One document in Wikileaks shows that after Wounded Knee, the American Indian Movement was planning an Indian Treaty Convention near Mobridge, South Dakota, in 1974. The US was concerned that Bolivia and Mexico would attend.

"The USG (United States government) would regard official participation in this event by any foreign government as inappropriate." The US continued to try and find out who was coming. https://wikileaks.org/plusd/cables/1974STATE101850_b.html

The US State Department was monitoring Russell Means, as shown below.
https://wikileaks.org/plusd/cables/1977STATE237305_c.html
The American Indian Movement's relationship with Libya also created alarm and accusations in the US State Department, as revealed in the cables.

Earlier, in 1973, the Six Nations Iroquois Confederation engaged the UN and responded to the request from Wounded Knee to serve as peace mediators during the Wounded Knee occupation.

These words ring true today as the mainstream media presents a biased version of the real story in Palestine.
In January of 1974, the US State Department became alarmed when Soviet journalists were planning to travel to Minneapolis. The US tracked them to see if they were there to cover the trial of those who occupied Wounded Knee. Once again, the US feared the American Indian Movement's ability to gain global support and contacts. The US also tracked unfavorable news coverage on Indian and human rights issues published in other countries. https://wikileaks.org/plusd/cables/1974STATE012511_b.html

One Wikileaks document is from Geneva in 1977, the statement on Discrimination and Indigenous Rights, which also refers to the sterilization of women without consent. The cables also show that the US tracked comments of Russell Means regarding the sterilization of Indian women in the US without their consent.
